Lets just say, what i ate didn't sit well. the food was a little bland however the desserts were good. The waiting staff was a little short tempered for my taste, I do have difficult barely english speaking parents....but still. Ate here and had stomach pains for a a day. but that could be just me....try it and see?
Review Source:We went to Samvera for dinner late on a Saturday night... there were 5 in our party when we started but we shortly became 7 when some friends came in for a drink.
We were with some regulars and were warmly greeted by the staff and immediately given a table in the bar area. Â The complimentary antipasto plate is worth five stars alone. Â In addition, we started with their stuffed artichoke which was delicious as well. Â I went with the prawn special that was served with a salad - it was more than enough food. Â Other meals at the table included veal chop, seafood salad, chicken with sausage, and fettucine alfredo. Â Luckily I didn't pay the bill as it was a bit on the pricey side... however, the group left satisfied.
Not sure if it was just the night we were there, but this place caters to a real Jersey scene if you know what I mean. Â (Picture jumping right into dinner with the Sopranos).
Over the course of the last two years I have become regulars at Sam Veras. Â Whether we go for dinner or lunch, we have not had a bad experience. Â The service here is attentive but not overbearing, the food is always served hot and fresh, and there is never a sense of being rushed. Â As far as ordering meals, I have not ordered off the regular menu there, I have always enjoyed their specials. Â As far as being good for kids, thats a tough call. Â My kids ages are 21, 16 year old, and they have enjoyed Sam Vera. Â I have noticed other couples with their children of various ages and the staff there has always gone out of their way to accommodate them.
