We went for an anniversary dinner and it was fantastic. The place is comfortable and quiet, there was a Jazz trio playing, perfect mood and ambiance. The food is extremely good! We started with the calamari appetizer, which was perfect, and we loved the dipping sauce it came with. Husband ordered the deconstructed beef stroganoff, and I had the pan roasted Atlantic salmon -- perfectly done. Both dishes were excellent. We especially liked the sauteed spinach and veggies that came with it! Â We had the Tanglewood sparkling wine with our dinner and loved it.
The only minor complaint was the stroganoff sauce was just a little too salty... but went well with the mashed potatoes. It also would be nice if they had a full bar.
The service was impressive! Very high-end service.
We topped it off with coffee -- it comes with your own little french press -- and cannoli. The cannolli were fantastic! It was a great anniversary date. I really look forward to going back to Shutter's soon!!
Went there toward the one o'clock hour for lunch after cherry picking, and it wasn't busy at all. Maybe three or four tables with probably 15 diners total. The server seemed new but very courteous and striving to be as professional as possible. The food took quite a long time to come out because the owner, who is also the executive chef, was working by himself. I'm sure if he had the budget to have another cook with him, he would have but it did affect service. The linguine with prawns dish was hands down the best dish at our table. Very tasty, flavorful and well-seasoned. Even the kids Mac and Cheese dishes were more like adult dishes with a béchamel sauce. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back (it's about an hour drive from home) but I would love to try the dinner menu sometime.
