Well. This is closer to the home. I guess it is good only for the appetizers but not entrees. I ordered a veggie quesadilla when I went with my friend. It was awful. The drink was OK. But they do have 30 cent wings on a weekday, which I guess is a good deal.

To sum up good for happy hour, but not for dining.

Lots of food for the money, friendly bar staff, and a good selection of somewhat beat up bar games to play (love the shuffleboard). Happy hour on a Friday night would be much better if the live band was half as loud. Seriously, does anyone ever leave a bar and say, "the band was great, but I wish they were louder"?

An excellent place for dinner, a beer, mixed drink, or soft drink!!  With a game room, two dining rooms and a large bar, Screwballs Sports Bar & Grill has plenty of seating in a comfortable atmosphere.  Good food!  Excellent service!  Clean bathrooms!  Ample parking!  Live music and Karaoke too!  Definitely an A+ place.

I walked I'm the restaurant and nobody greeted us. Didn't ask us to please wait to be seated. We waited a good 15 minutes. We asked someone at the bar if we should wait and no answer totally ignored!!! Very upset would never go back!!

Screwballs was open on Thanksgiving.  How cool is that?  Thanks, Screwballs.

i work in the area and ended up playing in a softball league where all the fields are near this bar so we became season regulars.  been a few times before and have always enjoyed it.
the beer is cold and fairly cheap (i think $3 domestics and slightly less specials during games and happy hours), the shots are large and the wait staff is efficient.
there is a pool table, some video games and a shuffleboard table to occupy your time.
the food is very good for a sports bar - i like the wings, nice and crispy with a variety of flavors, the wraps are tasty, salads are fresh and my personal favorite is the san diego chicken sandwich.
definitely come check this place out - tons of regulars but a worthy hang/dive bar/restaurant.

Oh hey, look, a small residential development about a mile away from thousands of shopping malls/centers and chain restaurants and bars. Perfection! For right next door is where we shall plop down our local sports bar. We will serve lots of cheap beer and fried bar food, and fairly good times shall be had!

That's basically it. Screwballs is a very normal sports bar, with more room for sitting and dining than for seating at the bar. Service is efficient and friendly, especially for the type of establishment and the location, and there are nearly always drink specials on top of decent prices to begin with. Enough tv's for everyone to watch their own game, and there is also a game room that I've never glanced at unless making my way to the ladies room because for some reason it is housed there. A little awkward stumbling to the bathroom in front of young kids in the game room!

I haven't sampled much of their menu, but it's not really a dinner locale. For bar food it's not bad, mostly sandwiches and the like. Overall, not worth a drive from far away (unless hanging out with me, obviously!) but it's a nice pick if you're in the area, trying to get away from super busy KOP chains.

I hate to admit that of all the bars in the area this is the place I've kind of become a regular. But on Thursday nights they have karaoke and Quizzo! That was the original draw to this place... On Thursday Quizzo starts around 9pm ... After the round he get's some karaoke singers up and then we pause to read the answers and do another round of questions. Whoever wins gets a $25 Gift Certificate to Screwballs! Once Quizzo is over it either becomes all karaoke or a dance party! And people there like to cut a rug!

Mostly I'm just here for drinks, and the bar staff is mostly, very friendly with a few exceptions. The food I've had has just been alright.. Nothing special.

The crowd here is interesting... Yes, typically it is an older crowd sitting at the bar. But on Thursday nights you can get a real eclectic group showing up... But it's always a super friendly, good time.

If you like karaoke or Quizzo ... I'd check out Screwballs on a Thursday night!

Oh and frequently on the weekends they have live music! Or if you want to catch a game they have like a zillion TV's.

Your local sports dive bar....it's in a secluded shopping center in KOP.  Sports theme throughout the restaurant; each room has a different sport it seems.  The best part about this bar is the fact that it:

    A.  Has 20 dollar Bud Light towers all the time.  128 ounces of beer for 20 dollars comes out to 8 pints for less than 3 dollars a pint.  Not too shabby.

    B.  It's right next to a convenience store called 6-11.  Awesome.

Other than that, it's your standard local dive with average bar food and your average special.

My friend was itching to grab a drink and decided she wanted to go to the nearest bar, which unfortunately for me, was Screwballs. Although the crowd hanging outside when we got there seemed predominately older, she still insisted we head inside.

We entered in on the bar side which was filled with patrons easily 40 years and older, sauntered through the pool area which was full of teenage boys, and finally settled on a table over in what appeared to be the non-smoking family section.

We each ordered a shrimp and fries platter and had water to drink. Our food took what seemed like forever and then it was wrong. Apparently our server decided we should have chicken and fries instead. When I brought it to her attention, she recounted with "Are you sure you didn't order chicken?" No, I hadn't. Especially since I also remembered asking for a side of cocktail sauce.

The food was alright and the price was okay, but all in all, next time someone suggests Screwballs, I'll probably sit that round out.

Stopped in last night, to try somewhere new.  All together everything was as expected. The food was good and the drinks were cheap. We left happy and will certainly return at some point in the future.  The atmosphere is good, we liked the huge tvs around the bar, it will be great for watching sports. Staff was very friendly.

This is definitely a local sparts bar, and just fine for that. I went for trivia & karaoke on a Thurs, and had a good time, because I knew people there. I wouldn't ever go here by myself - and there are better places to watch a game.

This bar has three connected rooms; one for eating and karaoke, one for the bar and watching the numerous TVs, and one for pool and arcade games. The Ladies bathroom was decent, and the bartenders & waitstaff very friendly. I was disappointed by the french onion soup, but it's all typical bar food, and maybe next time I'll get something safer like the wings.

In conclusion, this place is fine. Nothing really wrong, but nothing that is going to make it my number one local bar (especially when I don't live nearby).

On a lark, I stopped by this sports bar for lunch. Tried their "Philadelphia" wings ($6.95), extra hot, with celery sticks and a huge dollop of blue cheese. They were nicely crispy - not spicy, as expected (hmm, I AM dead inside) - but tasty and filling. Savory baked beans were on the side. My stomach left happy.

Last time I organized a happy hour here, we got a generous amount of nacho chips, potato chips and pretzels for free, on top of their standing drink specials. Friendly service (thanks Peggy, Cricket, and others), lots of flatscreens, a pool table, and a clean, roomy interior made for a positive experience. Be sure to check out their weekly specials.

Even with GPS, first-timers usually get lost. Research your directions carefully!

This is a decent local bar with okay food, drinks, and pleasant service.  Nothing extraordinary but a good place to grab a drink after work if you live close by.

The staff at Screwballs was very accommodating to our 20+ person happy hour (planned by Dave H.). We were treated to nachos and pretzels. The menu consisted of the basics, wings, chicken tenders, mini burgers etc. Their seasoned fries are great.

Although I didn't get to play, there is a game room with a pool table and other games. Flat screen TVs surround the place. There was also a jukebox with some random choice of tunes.

A good place for a happy hour (but if Dave H. is hosting arrive early or you'll be left with no place to park!)

Screwballs is our local bar. It's owned by the same people who own Angelo's, the pizza shop next door. The U-shaped bar is still from the original Irish pub, but now the bar is divided into multiple rooms. There is a game room with a pool table, video games, and a table shuffleboard. There is one room that seems to be more families, but perhaps that is the non-smoking section. The other dining room is semi-attached to the bar area.

Screwballs is a nice, clean bar. They've done a good job with the décor and seem to have their own sports colors - orange and blue. The staff is always friendly, although service can be slow.

The food is typical good bar food (cheese steaks, wings, etc) , but the highlight is their seasoned fries. They are basically steak fries with ridges seasoned with Old Bay and you get a lot of them!

I would say this place is a solid 3.5 star bar. Star bar. Star bar. That's fun to say.

I usually go to Screwballs with people from work for our Happy Hour. The last time i went we all had a lot of fun. The only annoying part was the fact that  a lot of people were smoking and i couldnt stand that mess! Their drinks are pretty good, and their Fries R the BEST!!!!! Everyone i know loves their fries with old bay and garlic, you cant taste the garlic. I like their Malibi Bay Breeze :o) Everyone else i know gets Corona's or Miller Lights or even Budwisser haha. They also play a variety of music that i love of course! We always jam to Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer :) Theres a lot of room for everyone to sit and they also have a sports section where you can play air hockey and other games. Its pretty neat

This place is now under a different owner and called Screwballs, and totally redone inside.  Now more sports bar than anything else, there are multiple hi def tvs around on the walls, and a good-sized open seating/bar area.  Thursday nights are karaoke.

Mostly locals, older crowd, good for a few beers while watching the game, after playing a game, or just to hang out.  I've never eaten there but they serve food as well.

You can't miss it - right by the 6 Eleven... when you're just a little too cheap for 7 Eleven.
