A cup of carrot soup laced with spinach, Doug's goulash and Jenny's chocolate ice cream all accompanied by a glass of Pinot noir and a Porto - an 'emergency room' visit as I'm passing through Springfield - add a fresh rose on the table and a great baguette (would be even greater if heated to croustillant not just warmed) along with generous and attentive wait staff, Make My Day! Bravo!
Review Source:Nestled among the business buildings of downtown Springfield is a beautiful little Bistro. As soon as you enter, you are transformed into a whole different world of cuisine, arts and music. It is not just the food, which is excellent, but the whole ambiance. The service was superb and friendly. The menu had a lot to choose from, and something for every taste. We were told the selection changes every season, hence the name, so there is variety year round. My husband loves their Bison Burger. It looked delicious so I had to take a bite and was glad I did. It is not only tasty but healthy meat. The dessert lineup was divine, specially the chocolate espresso creme. The walls are decorated with paintings and artwork from up and coming artists. A live band provided classy jazz music adding to the atmosphere. Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, take note. It is a great dining experience and worth the drive to Springfield.
Review Source:A holiday office lunch here a few weeks back and I'm a fan for life!! Â Who would guess there's a hidden away nook in the middle of downtown Springfield that offers such a wide array of creative, thought-provoking meal choices?!? Â Attentive service, willing to adapt for picky eaters, and truly something for everyone from veg. to carnivore... Â I had the delicious pumpkin quesadillas, along with a great side salad and Jeni's flavorful ice cream for dessert, though I almost went for the equally tempting looking apple strudel... Â Can't wait to go back for dinner and try more, throughout the different Seasons!!
Review Source:Yesterday was my first trip to Seasons and it was wonderful. The service was great. Friendly but not overly chatty and very attentive. the menu is somewhat small, but the selection doesn't leave you feeling like you wish you had more choices. I had the pumpkin Quesadilla and it was really, really good. There are lots of dishes on the menu that are vegetarian or could easily be made vegetarian. They also have a children's menu. I didn't have the kiddo with me so I can't tell you how that is,but it had some nice options. Seasons was definately worth my 30 min drive. We will absolutely be back!
Review Source:Was down from Cleveland and met up with my baby sis for lunch here. Â Food was exceptional. Â Had the chili verde soup which was superbly seasoned, Â At server's suggesstion had the cajun pork salad special. Â Was just exceptionaly well flavored. Â Pork medallions were very tender, but just a tiny bit overcooked. Â I believe my pork should be a tiny bit pink. Â I realize that that make make me an aberration amongst my friends in Southern Ohio, but this pork was too good to be slightly overdone, even if it was still moist. Â The goat cheese that came with the salad was creamy and must have come from milk that came from happy goats. The best came last. Â The waitress patiently explained the desserts and I opted for the bacon chocolate brownie topped with Jeni's saltly caramel ice cream. Â Jeni's is expensive so it was a bit costly, but worth it. Â If you want the best you gotta pay for. Â Some may think that this is a small thing, but I don't the coffee was excellent. Â I get down to Springfield every few months. Â This is a place I will definitely go back to. Â The service could not be any better. Â Next time, I'll specify that I want my pork a tiny bit pink. Â If it comes out that way I'm gonna revise this and make it five star. Â Folks if you are in the area, skip the junk at the chains and give yourselves a treat, try The Bistro. Â Easy access to I 70. Â Straight shot up 72 (north) which beomes Limestone St.
Review Source:I was looking for something other than Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans and found Seasons Bistro and Grille. Great drinks, food and nice atmosphere. The service was perfect, clever and attentive but not lingering or overly chatty - Jaimie rocks. I might eat there again tonight! Thanks to the other yelpers who led me here!
Review Source:Had excellent service while there. I ordered a roast beef sandwich and a cup of their tomato bisque. I really liked their simple menu and how everything on it was seasonal. I plan on going back, it's very much a different restaurant  for Springfield and I hope that it remains open. This city used to be quite a manufacturing city back in the day and it's nice to see when new business opens.
Review Source:I spent several days in the heart of the rather depressing specter of downtown Springfield. What was once a vital downtown was hit hard by wrongheaded urban 'renewal.' The Four Seasons was a bright spot: fresh food, good service, and excellent prices. I started with a garden salad, moved to grilled chicken and finished off with an intense lemon sorbet. Looking at the typical cookie cutter corporate establishments in the strip malls that killed downtown, Four Seasons is the place to go to support an excellent local business.
Review Source:Met a friend here for lunch today and was very pleasantly surprised. Â A first class restaurant in the middle of downtown Springfield. Â Airy and spacy in a newish building, stylish wooden decor with high ceilings and nice artwork on the walls. Â Beautiful-looking bar, and what appeared to be good choices for wine and beer. Â The clientele was of all ages, and it seemed to include both the business crowd and general public, young and old. Â
Menu was short and to the point--no need to pour over it for ages to pick something nice to eat, and I liked being able to look at it online the day before. Â All the choices were good (pizzas, fish tacos, house soups, special sandwiches) and the specials of the day sounded unique. Â I ordered the bison burger with steak fries, and had exactly what I'd expected. Â The service was excellent, the coffee after lunch was just right (not cooked too long or watered down), and the bill just right. Â I didn't try the deserts but will next time.
If you're just passing through Springfield as part of a larger road trip, or in the area and looking for a good alternative to the usual chain (I paid as much as I would have at any chain for lunch), this is well worth checking out. Â There are lots of communities that would love to have something like this place.
Let me start by saying I cannot believe this place is in Springfield. No offense ,but Dayton can't even support nice restaurants. How this place survives is beyond me. I like Springfield really i do, but when i think of fine dining that is not the first city nor the 10th city I would list in the Miami valley. With that said, this place was pretty good. We went when it was snowy out and their was virtually no one there. The view of the plaza around Christmas is amazing to say the least. The food here apparently changes seasonally and is cooked based on the seasons( hence the name). The food was really very good, we had to wait for a long while for it, considering the lack of people in the place, but still worth the wait. I made reservations, but it didn't seem to matter much on this particular day. I hear they have a pretty busy lunch crowd which would make sense. Parking is minimal to aggravating because if you don't park on the street right out front you have to go like a block over on a different directional one-way street to get to the parking lot. Truthfully, I hope this is the only the beginning for fine dining in Springfield. That particular city deserves more. Seasons Bistro, if it doesn't work out in Springfield, you should move to Dayton. Have fun at this place and enjoy it while it lasts.
Review Source:I worked in Springfield for a few weeks and was very depressed how few restaurants this little town had. Â However, on one of the last days I was in town I had a CPA take me out to lunch and introduced me to Season Bistro. Â I wish I would have found it earlier. Â The atmosphere was elegant and relaxed. That alone makes it worth your trip. Â The food is well thought out and will be worth your time..
Review Source:I cannot begin to tell everyone how great it feels to have a place like the Season in downtown Springfield. This and more of it is what the downtown area needs to start the revitalization. I agree with everything Nathan said about the environment it is absolutely remarkable.
I have only been for lunch and I have not been since they changed their menu over from Spring to Summer, but I was very happy with the food and $7 or so is really no that expensive for a lunch. If you reside in Springfield you should defiantly check it out and it could also be worth a stop if you are driving on I-70 it really just adds around 10 minutes on your trip.
My only problem with Season is the service which has been kind of weird every time I have been there, but it was very new and from what I hear it is much better now.
There's not a whole lot of nice places to eat in Springfield so it's really nice to see a downtown place so well done. The environment of the space is very nice and clean decorated with lot's of framed pictures and some local art. The layout is comfortable despite the small size. It feels very New York in a good way.
The food is on the higher end of price but excellent. Our server was prompt and helpful with our drinks and our food. Overall great experience and will definitely be back. We went for dinner, but I've heard lunch is good as well. Check it out some time!
