A keeper with some real gems, new business still dialing in all the parts of the operating model, best carnitas ever, great salsas. Â
No kidding, a new Best I Ever Had for carnitas.
Love the six shooter of different salsas, we are really chili heads so nothing was very hot, but tasty.
Chips are fresh, not greasy, not oversalted, very tasty. Â
Great margaritas.
The food always comes very fast when you order. Â We've been a few times and always the food is out pronto.
rant about fussy Americans who don't get out much: Â Now, we need to talk about authentic Mexican cuisine and culture. Â If you have actually had authentic Mexican tacos, they are greasy because they are often fried or have greasy meat. Â It's street food, ok? Â If you're expecting Taco Bell cartoon tacos, just go to the Taco Bell across the street. Â These guys seem to have some real Mexicans making the food decisions. Â Â And there are not waiters hovering over you. Â It's a casual place, just give somebody Need-You-Eyes and they're right over. Â If you are the kind that need the waiter to come by every five minutes and ask if everything is ok in order to get something, go somewhere else. Â If you're ok just raising your hand and making eye contact, the service is on the spot. Â In an increasingly obese world, Â I'm amazed to see people complain about the a la carte and portions. Â Americanos.... ok /rant about fussy Americans who don't get out much
The taco soup is chili, actually pretty good chili. Â I've probably eaten several tons of chili in my lifetime so I think I'm a pretty good chili judge.
Ceviche tacos were as fresh as you can get for being in Dallas. Â
Did I mention you MUST try the carnitas?
