This place is okay at best. Â
What I don't understand is why many bars still allow for smoking inside. Â I guess it appeals to some crowds, but it's not for me.
I ordered a beer that was on tap, and it was flat. Â However, the waitress did bring me a new different beer at no extra cost - which was good - but then the next one was just as flat. Â The next beer I ordered was a bottled beer.
The food isn't that great. Â
I'd say the place needs to be updated and needs some light. Â
I'll give it two stars because the waitress who served us was pretty friendly.
It's dark, smoky and shady... what else could I want in a good pool hall?
It just didn't feel right though. There were more people playing Golden Tee than billiards. It's a huge place, but was mostly empty the evening I was there. The tables are $12 an hour (pro rated), but they have seen better days. The cues were on the other side of the building, the first table we walked up to was missing a ball and the wings were soggy. They tasted like the chicken flew through a rain storm on the way to the kitchen... 6 months before it was thrown in the freezer.
I will say, the staff were pretty friendly though. If they put a little work into the place, it could be a decent pool hall. It's in a pretty good location.
Maybe I came on the wrong night, maybe my friend ordered the wrong thing, maybe I'll find a different place to play next time I'm in the area (hint, I will).
