A group of 20 of us turned away by bouncer during "White" night on July 20th, 2013 because a couple of us wore all-white sneakers....um, it's white night? Â I guess they didn't need $400 just in cover. Â Their own Yelp site says "casual" ambiance. Â Bunch of crap anyway because the site also says "Hipster...Trendy" ambience. Â Far from it. Â This place needs to rename their "Hipster, Casual, Trendy" club to "Shhhhh" because it is a definitely TIRED.
Review Source:i gave this place a 5 star because like everything  ELSE in life, you need to make the best of what you got.  im a 53 year old married woman that came here with my 2 single girlfriends (whom i intended to dance with).  the bouncers were fine with us,  most of the staff was very accommodating.  the free buffet was actually pretty good (ok assholes, not French Laundry, but better than pretzels)  My friends& i spent a lot of time laughing at the older women dressed in Forever 21 outfits old enough to draw social security benefits, but today, i and a lot of people that yelped really should be ashamed of ourselves for being so judgemental & hateful.  it's uncomfortable to watch, but us old folks make up a huge percentage of america, so get used to it.  The woman backing her ass up was having a grand time,  the man with the hearing aid holding her ass was smiling.  I dressed appropriately but maybe if i was single i wouldnt.   There are a lot of UGLY people at the young clubs too!
Review Source:Definitely cannot recommend the place for a Wednesday Latin/Salsa. Like another reviewer stated, wish I could give this place ZERO stars.
Been there a few weeks ago for Latin / Salsa Wednesday. Lessons are tediously long. Food/Buffet not too bad though your stomach  is not too happy later in the evening, dance floor is sticky and a number of cracks. So some dancers bring powder and empty it on the floor. Now you have a floor thats gone from sticky to break neck slick.,
Mens restroom floor is drenched with water / urine on a wednesday eveing. Â If you wear soft or raw sole dance shoes, forget about using restroom. Lets not forget the powder you just picked up.
DJ is typical, plays the predictable carousel of salsa / bachata / merengue. Most people that show up for dancing seem to clear out by 10ish. Dancers are mostly beginners or one timer and mostly a 50+ crowd . Â Place had maybe 40+ people there around 9:30pm. Probably has 2 decent dances for the 2 hours I was there. Decided this place was not worth a return or recommendation since there are so many better alternatives. My regular shoes were misplaced / stolen ??? Â When I dance I change from regular shoes to soft sole dance shoes.
Fast forward a few weeks later:
At the urging of a dancer friend's email to meet there this evening, went there again with my dance shoes with me and was wearing flip flops (water on the bathroom floor from last time and missing my regular shoes). Bouncer would not let me in as women are allowed flip flops but men are not allowed flip flops as they are trying to portray a "classy" place. I requested the manager, manager refused to show and instead replied to bouncer over phone their policy on flip flops. Â Sufficiently "classy" place where shoes get misplaced/stolen. And, if the senior citizen crowd is your thing, this place is your ticket.
