Hole-in-the-wall joints are such a luck of the draw...and we lucked out, kinda.
If you know West coast sushi, nigiri and sashimi--stay away from them here--you will be disenchanted from imagining all coastal areas have good sushi. Â They don't. Â And this place is a reminder. Â That being said, if you aren't spoiled with regards to sushi, this place has "good" stuff.
But, if you enjoy Japanese and Thai, stick to the dishes and you will be pleased! Â They have a variety, and are super friendly about accommodating changes and variations.
We had wonderful, friendly, and fast service. We ordered several sushi rolls and were pleased with our choices. The tempura rolls were delicious and we also had
one rolled in cucumber rather than seaweed (kawizi, I think?). Our party also had 2 Thai dishes and found them to be average in taste. Â Ambiance is typical strip mall.
