Hippest new bar in town! Â The management is awesome, and the rest of the staff are great! Â This is where you need to go after a long day at work, or just to chill. Â With the new addition of a live DJ and Karaoke on Friday nights, you won't find a better place to hang out! Â Last Friday was awesome! Â The crowd is a great mix. Â Nice work Side Bar!

Discovered after having a meal at Oh Crab. Â The place is behind Oh Crab, and is connected. Â You can access the bar either through the restaurant or the side door along the building.
The place is great since they serve food (Oh Crab's menu) and has several beers on Tap! Â Yes several, from DosXX to Blue Moon! Â Did I mention Beer selection on Tap is great?? Â Mixed soju is great too!
Now they are a beer and Soju bar so if you're looking for the hard Alc., this might not be your spot...Or it just may bring the Beer and Soju lover outta ya! Â Mention Yelp and they'll give you a free Shot, or should I say teaser hehehe !
Happy hour is great (5-7 and 9-11), but only open Thurs. - Sunday. Â It's 1/2 off your second drink, which is wayy better than other nearby bars' $1.00 off gimmicks.
All in all, it's a great place with a nice atmosphere. Â The staff are friendly and cool. Â I will be back!
We were dressed up and on our way to Old Town Pasadena but we figured it wasn't a good idea since it was already getting late. While running out of ideas of which places to go, I decided to look on our trusty pal Yelp and found The Side Bar. It was really close to where we live and decided why not.
We got lost trying to find it in the Vons Plaza but we eventually made our way there. It's right on the side of Oh Crab... because... it's the 'Side' Bar. Get it?
It was pretty small yet spacious and the environment seem pretty chill. We made our way to the Bar and decided to buy a pitcher of XX. The manager was super cool and gave our whole group soju shots on the house :)
As the night moved on, we ordered 2 more pitchers of Blue Moon and 2 more jugs of Soju. The staff was VERY nice and made sure we were okay every so often. The total bill came out to $70 for 2 pitchers of beers and 2 jugs of soju.
For a place that just opened up around the beginning of March, it's pretty cool. They got the TVs so it's an awesome place to watch games. The place has so much potential and I would love to see this place grow throughout the years.

I didn't get to try the food though, they say that their kitchen closes at 10. I don't know if they have a separate menu or if they share their menu with Oh Crab seeing that these two places are connected.
A budding neighborhood bar...? In this neighborhood!? Â Oh the possibilities!
The bar is tucked away in the alley behind Quickly/JJ Bakery and next to Oh! Crab which means (a) It's not visible from the street but (b) parking is a-plenty, and (c) you can go eat at Boiling Point after a few drinks or do some late-night shopping at Vons. ^.^
Friendly owner/bartenders, good selection of import/domestic beers and a healthy happy hour 5-7pm and 9-11pm. AND, access to all the fresh seafood and fried goodness of Oh! Crab. Â Definitely a different/younger crowd than uhh... Sunset Room and City Lights. For the better.
They just opened on March 2nd which means it's JUST getting started, there's a separate room I'm guessing for private parties, two big screens, and a set-up for future karaoke nights...?
Looking forward to many more pints of Guiness. Go and show some support for your local bar!
Been there before and it was cool.. It's under New Management.. The guys are younger hipper and more up to date with the younger seen.. The food is INCREDIBLE... I can't wait till the next time I go.. It's open THURSDAY-SUNDAY.
A great place to hangout or have a date. They also have a Dj there... Playing all the
hits from today and yesterday.. I live in Long Beach.. And will drive to this place.
It's worth it..
Can't wait.. To be there again.
