mmm. 2.5 stars. it's an A-ok but i've experienced better.
CASH ONLY!
Parking: shared parking lot.
Tables: They have two different sizes for pool tables. $8/hour for the smaller ones and $9/hour for the full size. the pool sticks were kind of worn, cue balls in alhambra had newer ones.
Drinks: drinks are pretty cheap here, but then again it was a divey place so.. yeah. hahah. They had shocktop on tap and it was yummmmmmmmmmmmers! a glass of shocktop and a small corona light ran me $8.
Ambiance: Divey. divey. divey! the separate rooms they had the full sized pool tables had these kind of awkward step seats that were covered with carpet along the adjacent wall of the bar. The seats reminded me of bleachers from a gym.. except they had carpet on them. hahah. i'm sure they're comfy maybe? and probably perfect for when you have a group of friends getting drunk while you shoot some pool.. but they looked a lil dirty. shrugg.
I went on a friday night and the place was pretty dead. The customers that were there were a bit older, probably just regulars from the neighborhood.
idk if i'd come back, but who knows! (:
**CASH ONLY***
For one, this place is HUGE. I went for a friends pool tournament.. Pretty serious players that night, pretty serious shrimp cocktails too! beer is $3.50 a bottle, not bad.
all in all, cool, not great..the shrimp cocktails WERE great though, And I think I would come back for that reason only. Just to go into further detail (because THAT was the highlight of my night) the shrimp cocktail guy actually serves them out of his truck, i know this sounds like something that would make you sick, but it was surprisingly the best i've ever had.... and super quality, A+++++
Now the down side, it looks real dirty and RUN DOWN, so not the cleanest, nicest place...
i would have given two, but the cocktail guy got them a extra star!
