I am shocked by the great reviews and overall good ratings this place has received to date. The only thing worse than the food is the service! My boyfriend and I came into an empty bar around lunch time on a Sunday. There were only a few other patrons, yet we waited at least 15 mins before anyone acknowledged us. I checked out the salad bar on our way to the table and it looked like it hadn't been attended to in days. Not to mention it smelled horrible. We sat at a table in the bar to watch golf. I've noticed people commenting on all the televisions, so I would like to point out they are all old TVs from the 80s with the smallest screens. I needed binoculars in order to see anything! Service was horrible. There were two servers, one sitting at one of the bar tables with another patron. She was in her full uniform which I thought was unprofessional. It took forever to get our food which was hardly edible. She never came to refill our drinks. She was a total bitch and acted as if we were inconveniencing her ever since we walked in the door. We sat with empty drinks while she chatted and laughed with her coworker at the nearby table. I would never ever step foot in Silky Sullivan's after such a negative experience. I understand the historic aspect to this place, but it takes more than that to qualify as a great sports bar. Bottom line: bad food, bad service.

Fun place to hang out with your friends. Totally casual, typical/simple bar food, friendly staff

The ol "OMG I Can't Believe I Have Never Written A Review Of This Place Before." Well, it's just your basic SoCal Irish Pub with a bunch of locals from the neighborhood. Not very conducive to writing an inspired review.

What the heck, lets do it anyway.

My ex worked nearby back in the mid 80's and this was her work crews after work, and occasional lunch spot. The service has always been hit or miss. Most times super friendly and efficient, and sometimes not so much. Food is typical Irish Pub fare. Nothing great and nothing really awful.

Your best bet is to sit at the bar whether you are eating or just having a drink. All of the Btenders are seasoned pros, and most are friendly as well. Lot's of TVs with of course futbol, and all of your favorite sports of the great USA. Their draught beers are always fresh with a good selection of American and foreign.

Some decent local live bands play on the weekends, check their website calendar for the current lineup. The crowd during the live music sets is always a friendly and mostly sodden group of all ages. By all ages, meaning 21-80.

They also have some fun events throughout the year, including a chili cook off, and of course a huge St. Patrick's Day party with a large tent set up in the parking lot. Not a pretty crowd like you'll see in Newport on St. Paddy's Day, but with the same overpriced poorly/hastily prepared "Irish Fare."

Just remembered one of the most comical exchanges I have ever had with a restaurant staff member. Came here for lunch many years ago and requested a chardonnay with my meal. The very young lass came back with a glass of red wine. When I clarified that I asked for chardonnay, she responded with a contused look on her face, "well this is what the bartender gave me." She had no clue that chardonnay is a white wine. Serves me right for requesting wine in an Irish Pub eh?

One huge plus is that they do serve food till 1:00 AM every night, which is hard to find in our sleepy county.

One huge minus is that it is directly across the street from the Fountain Valley Police Department. Although one of the bartenders did point out that they have a good relationship with the FVPD, and they rarely harass their patrons, or park nearby like the HB or NB police often do. It will cause you to reconsider that 3rd drink though.

Historic facts: Silky Sullivan was a Southern California thoroughbred race horse in the mid 1950's known for it's come from behind skills. It once won by 3 lengths after trailing by 41. http://en.wikipedia.org/…

Enjoyed a very nice lunch today with my husband. I had the blackened shrimp Caesar salad and he had the Irish Sundae. Our server, Stacie was pleasant and attentive. Lots of options on the menu and it looked like there are lots of regulars, which a good sign. We look forward to dining there again the next time we are in Fountain Valley.

Irish pub. Dark atmosphere pub all the way. OK beer selection. Friendly staff, people and atmosphere. Good potato skins. Mediocre roast beef special, Velveeta like sauce on fresh asparagus is awful and fresh small salad bar. Convenient to the Marriott Residence Inn nearby.

So I ask my hotel front desk where I should have dinner the other night. They of course gave me a long list of chain restaurants that I had no intent or desire to visit, so I turned on my Neverlost and looked for restaurants nearby. I saw that Silky Sullivan's Irish Pub was less than a mile away from my current destination, so I decided to head over and find out what this place was all about. I mean it's an Irish Pub, how bad can it be?

I entered Silky Sullivan's and the place was pretty busy. I seated myself at the bar and was quickly greeted by a very friendly bartender who quickly took my drink order and gave me a menu. They apparently have a $2 appetizer special for select appetizers during happy hour each night; I didn't partake but it was a cool idea.

They do have cider beer here so I was immediately happy... Any place with Angry Orchard is a place I need to visit often. So I order my cider and had a bowl of the soup of the day, which was a Bourbon Barley soup. I think there was lamb meat in the soup as well, I can't really remember what type of meat it was. The soup was very flavorful and chunky though, they didn't scrimp on the meat or vegetables at all. I had the Blackened Chicken Salad for dinner with Honey Mustard dressing instead of Caesar. The salad was large and tasty, but the honey mustard was a bit runny and watered down. The garlic bread of the side was a nice touch.

The atmosphere was very welcoming and energetic. There seemed to be a lot of regulars here which made the place feel very homey. I really enjoyed talking to the various people that sat near me and finding out more about the area.

I would highly recommend having dinner here if you are staying at a nearby hotel. The service is friendly, the Pub is welcoming, and the food is pretty good too.

Silky's is the place where one can pick up on cougars, watch sports, or just socialize with friends and co workers after a long day away. I have been here a few times and it is a classic bar and barely a restaurant. They sometimes have bands and what not perform. They have some decent food for beer munchies since everything tastes good under the beer munchies. A good diversity of basic brews and hard liquor. It is clean for the most part though the crowds can get thick on weekend nights especially during the summer months which sometimes turns the place in to a drunken beer fest where one could taste the alcohol in the air by walking in to the building.

Great bar, cheap drinks, cheap food, great music (both live and through the speakers). It's my neighborhood bar, I'm bound to see a friend (or at least somebody I don't like from high school) It's just bound to happen. I love it, wouldn't go anywhere else. It's the place I recommend whenever my friends want to grab a brew.

Here are my tips:

If your with a buddy, get a pitcher, their prices are great for pitchers and you each get about two beers out of it.

Corned beef nachos... They're stellar

Happy hour, they've got great prices and great food.

Came here on weekday morning to check out the college football games.

Typical Irish pub with a good amount of tv's around the bar area and dining area.

Food:
- Chicken wings: nothing special, basic wings.
- Irish Nachos: simple and nothing special as well.

Service: avg....but no complaints though.

Overall, could be a cool place to check out the games. Its more a of a Fountain Valley locals vibe in the place.

There's a wide variety of people who come here.. old crowd, young crowd. Pretty people and not so pretty. Their drinks are mixed the way they should be - strong, and cheap! And their sandwiches are soooo good.

Its been awhile since I have been here but It still is as good as I can remember. The chicken wings are the best in the county and the tri tip sandwich was great! It still has that warm, nice atmosphere unlike other sports bars where the drinks are expensive and watered and they try to compensate by selling cheap happy hour food to make up the difference in the drink prices ....Seems like in my neighborhood the sports bars are pretty divey.
Silkys. You are still my favorite happy hour and I can't wait to try the Prime Rib Tuesday!

Ahhh Silky Sullivans...I miss you! Long live Tuesday night prime rib and half off apps. I've been coming here (while I grew up and lived in FV and HB) for over a decade. I miss the days of Chandler slinging Chandler Specials but Ernesto made up for it by being an awesome bartender. I have nothing but praise and fond memories of this place. I celebrated my 21st birthday here and vaguely remember throwing up in their bathroom and outside in the parking lot. A lot of the customers here are regulars that have been coming here for many years. My friends and I always considered this place to be homebase as we even nicknamed it "The Regal Beagle".

They play live music by various cover bands every friday and saturday night. Its an awesome place to go to during any holiday...especially Halloween, New Years (if you want to stay local), and of course St. Paddy Day. The food is good and they have a great late night menu. I always get the trio of apps where you pick 3 appetizers for like 10 bucks or something like that. Food is good, drinks are great, the staff and customers are for the most part terrific. If I had to say anything negative about this place it would be that the FV police department is right across the street (but they seem to turn a blind eye to Silky's) and also parking can get kind of tricky as cars have been known to get towed from the lot adjacent to Silky's parking lot. Still its a small price to pay for having made so many fond memories here....long live the Regal Beagle!

You know you're a regular when, on many occasions, you go in there and they already know what you want before you say it..."pitcher of bud light and Irish nachos?" "haha yes"

It's a great place for the locals of fountain valley, it literally takes me 2 minutes to walk there, so I don't have to worry about driving after drinking. This is one of those bars where you'll run into, and this has happened to me, parents of friends and old high school teachers drunk off their asses...
And I know I need to find more friends when I come here with coworkers that are old enough to be my parents...but sadly it doesn't really bother me..

The bartenders are awesome and entertaining, always making me and my friends have a good laugh and fun experience.
There's always something going on, karaoke, trivia night, bands, taco nights...
Food is great! I've had their calimari, Irish nachos, onion blossom, wings, salad...and all were really good!
All in all, I definitely recommend this place when you want a not-too-crazy night out, just a drink with the buds.

People give different star ratings for different reasons. Quality of the food, atmosphere, service, a combo of all. I never would have thought that I would give a place like Silkies a 5-star, that is, of course, until I became a regular. I lived in Fountain Valley for 2 years, (I'm actually writing this during my half-way stop to moving to Portland), so I found Silkies too be the closest to my house for some alcoholic fun. Here's the low-down:

Ernesto is the BEST bartender around. Quick, funny, attentive, awesome. The only bartender (except for 2 others here) that has ever made me smile before I've had a drink. Augie (that's how I'm going to spell his name, ok?) is also a wonderful bartender!

Second, the turkey club sandwich is to effing die for, and I am NOT a sandwich person.

Awesome local crowd; it's crazy, it's like the bar sucks you in to become a regular. After going there weekly for the last year, I've met so many different awesome people. I'm only 22, but I prefer an older (mid-life crisis) crowd. This is a great place to find some chit chat while eating a bomb ass sandwich and drinking a beer.

When I told them I was moving (*tear*), they hooked it UP with a little gift bag with a hat and Christmas ornament and what-not. It was so damn sweet. The manager personally came out and gave it to me and wished me the best.

I am going to miss this place, you don't even understand.

I've been here only one time.

I can say that from this one time that I have been here it wasn't bad at all.
Its a fun relaxing environment where you can hang with friends.
They have good appetizers -- very tasty.
The servers we had were very nice & attentive.
The place has lot's of seating so it felt roomy.
Its a bar so they have lot's for you to drink.
For those of you who looooooooove to drink . . I say be careful because its across the street from a police station lol.

I'd give this place 3.5 stars.

I was looking for a place to grab a drink with a friend but because I still needed to drive home, I was thinking an Irish coffee might be nice & my friend ended up recommending Silky Sullivans.

As I checked in, I unlocked the Barfly badge which makes me realize I may be frequenting too many bars. Sunday night is apparently karaoke night which made it damn near impossible to talk to my friend without screaming.

I had my Guinness and strong Irish coffee (it is an Irish pub!) while watching Jeremy Lin on ESPN (there are tons of TVs here) while my friend D had his typical Crown and Diet Coke. We had just come from dinner so we didn't order any food.

While people watching we realized it's a pretty eclectic crowd. If you're looking for a nice, chill spot to have a drink, come check this place out.

I was already well marinated in Chimay and well on my way to a corrupt night when I got to Silky Sullivans. I knew I was in for a good night when the bouncer gave me daps. Fuck, I'm friendly.

The place looks like a dark Sizzler. But the crowd is great. By great I mean good for people watching. You'll have cougars. Normal folk. Young and old. OC Wives rejects. And always, I mean always, a decent spattering of people from "The HIlls Have Eyes".

I had to conduct several interviews with the participants to be able to piece together this account/review that will be up for the Best Documentary at the Academy Awards. Sorry starving children of Mogadishu.

5...count them 5, busted open sores up on this one girls mouth. Homegirl thought she was Jessica Biel too. Chick looked more like that lady on the Roseanne show. The short haired lesbian looking one that played her sister. You know who else wasn't fine? Her short sloppy-ass friend with her huge offensive mammaries flapping around and about. Them two and their Chaz Bono looking friend got mad because I photo-bombed them.

"Laugh a little, it'll help you out with those sores. It looks like you got the Orion constellation all up on your grill." (I'm pretty proud of that one). "Seriously, you could nurse a litter of hounds with those".

I walked away to a chorus of "Oh my Gawds", unscathed and feeling great about myself.

I don't remember how much beers were. All I know is that you won't find Pliny The Elder on tap here. Apparently, I ninja star'ed my coaster at our waitress. She liked it, however. She thought I was being romantic.

I vividly remember a marginal band imitating the Goo Goo dolls. They seemed to rock the pants off a short, fat, younger version of Stephen King with a crooked head.

Apparently, people come eat here. I wouldn't want to, but hey, who am I to judge if someone else does.

I went home and listened to Portishead as I slept, to prevent a hangover. Did it work? Shit, is Nickelback a terrible band? Ya damn tootin'.

Now, who wants to buy me a drink?

Please Hammer, don't hurt'em.

Wait, I do have one recommendation.....
get here already sloshed.

This place is like the TV show Cheers, except with a lot more debauchery.

I frequent this bar always post 11:30pm (after I get off of work) and every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, this place is packed. Packed with what kind of crowd, well, that is another question in itself. The only groups missing from this crowd are the hipsters and social elitists. Mostly you'll find yourself surrounded by either college aged people getting sh-wasted or post-midlife-crisised adults who are looking to drink, drink, drink. This makes people watching/critiquing a nice way to pass the time here.

How's the food? As far as bar food goes, this place is in the upper echelon. Their hot wings are delicious (just the right amount of spice) and their Irish nachos are cheap, greasy and filling.

Nothing is outstanding as far as the drinks. Decent prices along with decent pours equals decent adventures.

Would I recommend this place to people who live 20 mi away? No. Would I recommend this place to people who work/live nearby and are looking for a drink and entertainment? Yea, sure. Why not...

This is the first time Yelp has steered us wrong.

We came on a Friday night and while I know that Friday and Saturday nights are usually the busiest and I take that into consideration, but service was just slow.

We started with the Irish Nachos appetizer, which is french fries topped with cheese and bacon. It was the best thing I had all night but then again, how can you mess up cheese and bacon covered french fries?

I had the french dip sandwich with french onion soup for my meal. The soup was nothing special and I wish I didn't order it. When the my sandwich came out, I almost laughed. It is literally the size of a dinner roll. But while eating it, I'm really glad it was so small because it was NOT good. The roast beef tasted like fake meat and I couldn't even finish my tiny portion.

Nobody at our table enjoyed their food either. One of my friends, who always either eats his whole plate or takes the rest home, only ate half of his chicken dish and didn't want the rest.

The only reason this place gets higher than a 1 star is because they have a good selection of beer on tap and I liked the Irish Nachos. I just wish I didn't drive 30+ minutes just to come to this place for dinner.

I don't know yelp friends. Why all the high reviews? Is it cause I couldn't join the alcoholics at silky sullivan? (I'm old now..my body can only handle 1 day of binge drinking and that day was Saturday)

On the tab
Bass Beer
Sunday Roast Beef Special-Gravy over everything (very overwhelming)
Irish Fries
Chicken Bon Fume-sweet/salty just disgusting mush

The meals comes w. soup or salad bar. I can see why you would like this place is you are completely drunk.

Service
5 freaken stars!

Good Old Silkys. This is the Cheers of Fountain Valley. I used to live in the apartment complex right next to it.

Needless to say I did spend quite a few evenings there.

Food was typical bar food. I really liked the potato skins

This place is cool and draws a decent crowd. The drinks are strong too and that's always fun.

I've been coming here for 20 years and maybe make and appearance once a year. They used to have my favorite wings--hands down--but they weren't as good this time. They do that froufrou sauce on the side deal, which I hate. I need my wings messy and drowned in the sauce. If you don't want to wear it, order tenders! The sauce is still great thought, but without the wings a swimmin' they tend to get dried out. Oh well. I will just ask for them to put the sauce back on next time I end up here (next year).

I also like most of their appetizers: Irish nachos, prime rib medallions and they are better than typical bar food.

Their prime rib dinner is good too.

Parking sucks.

BUT

The drinks are decent & the wait staff is nice. The Irish nachos are loaded with cheese, bacon bits and more cheese; a tad heavy but good if you're trying to sober up or drink more. :o

A lot of regulars and friendly patrons in general. They had a $2 appetizer special yesterday (Thurs) and there is a chili cook-off this coming Sunday. They have a lot of live bands on the calendar...I'll have to come back and check it out.

If you live in Fountain Valley then you already know that Silky's is the official secret clubhouse for residents. It's conveniently located across from the police station/drunk tank and City Hall, just like in Mayberry RFD (with about as many 'minorities', like much of honky OC) . This is as close as you get to the 'center of town' in Fountain Valley, and Silky's is the hub. Did you know Fountain Valley was listed in the Best 100 places to live the USA thing? Yesiree Bob it was, and Silky Sullivan's was mentioned as one reason why. It certainly wasn't thanks to our official 'Welcome to Fountain Valley, A Nice Place to Live' signage, that is supposed to be a fountain, but from more than 5 feet away looks like a woman's ass in a thong. I know, you have to see it.

Be warned lightweights: this is old school locals only suburban bardom, overflowing with middle to stone aged men who don't want to go home yet, especially between noon and 5pm on weekdays. It stubbornly remains the chief problem with this place if you're anything close to female, especially when you're by yourself. Hide in the corner unless you want free drinks sent over to you at the price of sloppy conversation and a sometimes toothless grin.

If it weren't for that I'd still be coming here for Happy Hour after therapy, since my doctor is next door and super convenient after a 'get me to the bottom of a highball glass' type session. Better to come in a co-ed group later on when there's music and a more mixed younger crowd. Watch it though, or you might find yourself being propositioned by your intoxicated and unawares 3rd grade teacher. It's that small and 'close-knit' a community sometimes.

Best kept Silky's secret: The half price Tuesday happy hour lamb chops called 'Hot Chops'. You get 4 for like seven dollars. Lamb is so expensive and hard to find, and these are pretty good and come with their great home made ranch, veggies and yummy garlic bread. Also, many people claim they have the best wings anywhere.

I was pretty shocked when I walked in here today at 2pm at how full the bar was.

A bunch of Irish men enjoying a pint and a game...My kind of place! Just don't get my Irish up and then we're all right!

This is typical Irish pub fare. I saw bangers and mash, pork chops, stews plus English bar food like buffalo wings and burgers, pastas, etc.

I settled on the scotch broth which sounded interesting but was a delectable stew filled with lamb, barley, carrots, celery and potatoes. It was very good.

I also had some bufflalo wings which were tangy, spicy and crispy and juicy all at the same time.

I could see where this would be a fun place to watch a game on Sundays and drink lots booze. Service is friendly, atmosphere is good.

I am giving it 4 stars because it had sentimental value to me as I used to live in "a nice place place to live" and this was our bar.

Silky's is a decent restaurant and bar. One of my favorite things was the Roast Beef grilled sandwiches you get on Friday Happy hour. The meat was cut right off the heated meat spinny thing. AWESOME.

The Bartenders are friendly, competent, and most important to me prompt. Usually they have some hottie waitresses, so that's not too bad.

The late night crowd usually packs the place on the weekends. Usually there is a fairly decent 80's cover band, and usually gets the thirty somethings to shake their ass.

The place is decorated well, nice solid wood fixtures, kept clean, clean bathrooms, and a heated smoking area for us Marlboro men.

I don't have much experience eating here as a restaurant. Usually I was just here for the drinky-drink and had some sprinkled in grub.

Good fun place for a date, or meeting up with pals in the 714.

Kind of like church. If you are a regular then none of the BS bothers you -- it becomes a reality.

Not a church goer myself--I found the atmosphere pretty horrible. I didn't feel like it was a place to become my local "Cheers." Kind of old and sweaty feeling. Musty.

My fiance and I ordered some fish & chips -- then after standing there for a few seconds with some strange old men looking at us we asked for it to go.

The fries were not great and the fish came with an orange wedge--not the typical lemon which I found strange...

But I will not be returning to Ol' Silky. But I don't read the bible either.

I'm a weekly regular at Silky Sullivan's because it's a quaint, friendly pub in the middle of a quiet town. The crowd is older, but there's always a mix at this place. There's no pretentiousness here. It doesn't try to be hip and trendy. That's what I like about this place. On the weekends, though, a cover band will entertain the crowd and plenty of the middle-agers will be dancing. Other than that, it's genuine and as close to Cheers as one can get.

They have a full bar with plenty of beers--domestic and premium--on tap. The secret tip is that the pitchers are always the better deal here. Well drinks are cheap as well. The bartenders are great mixers and can create some fun drinks for you.

The menu is large and covers all the bar food basics. For the young crowd that may be light in the wallet, there's a $5 personal pizza that's pretty good and filling. The Irish nachos are quiet popular because it's just steak fries, melted cheese, and real bacon bits. It's a good buy for $5. The sandwiches and entrees are decent. Surprisingly, a salad bar exists here and it's actually pretty good. Plenty of toppings available and there's no chocolate pudding (who's putting chocolate pudding on their salad?). If you're a fan of wings, Silky's hot wings are great. They're not as meaty as other restaurant wings, but the crispiness of the wings always stands up to the tangy, stingy buffalo sauce.

There are plenty of HDTVs around the classic woody interior. And yes, they have HD feeds, thank goodness. It's a great place to cheer on your local teams. There's always fans sitting around. If it's not busy, the server or bartender can change channels for you if requested.

If you're into the club/meat market scene or if you're looking for a indie/hipster lounge, this is not the place to go. It's a simple, clean, neighborhood watering-hole.

I don't mind coming here at all. If I lived closer, I'd gladly come here more than I do now. I live a couple cities down, so being the cheap drunk I am, I don't come here often for a good time only because, well, I wouldn't know how to get back home.

But this place, it's chill. Plenty of TVs everywhere, a bar with really cool bartenders. Food is decent here, and drinks are CHEAP compared to others around. Table service is alright, depending on what time you go. This place is a full bar, so they close at 2am. Anytime you go after 10, service seems extinct when you sit at a table. They send all the waitresses home so there is only one and they don't walk around to tables that often. BE SURE to get their attention as you walk if, if possible!

Turtle mud pie is REALLY GOOD! Onion rings are CRAZY ONION-Y, kinda gross, but pizza is good, baked potato is good, fries, burgers, salad bar--all good. Drinks are good--they aren't cheap on alcohol even for the cheap price.

Love this place. Just beware of service after 10pm and also this old white man with blue eyes that go there and hit up random young girls-- I actually see him, in the morning, hanging around at the gas station next to my house 2 cities away from Silky's... interesting....

My dad went here to watch a Notre Dame game one weekend (it was only available on pay per view), and he's been talking about it ever since. That is high praise because my dad doesn't like watching sporting events, especially Notre Dame games, at sports bars. He doesn't like watching games anywhere but at home. Sometimes, especially when the team's as bad as it's been lately, he doesn't even like going to the games. See, my dad's a Notre Dame purist, as am I. He can't stand when they're bad, and he needs to be in his own home to go through the emotions that come with watching a team he loves. He sometimes goes to the garage to do work just so he doesn't have to watch a particularly nail-biting ending to a game. All of this is to say that my dad hates watching his beloved Irish anywhere but from the comfort of his own couch.

But he loves Silky Sullivans.

He even took his cousin to watch more games there even though they were broadcast on TV.

I finally got to watch a game there with him, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. Usually, when someone talks a place up, no matter how excited he is, it's a letdown. Silky Sullivans reminds me more of a restaurant (an old-school Marie Callender's) than a sports bar. They have a good salad bar, and despite our annoyingness as fans who could not be bothered to answer a simple question on third down, the service is excellent and--yes--very polite.

I stand in direct defiance of all these previous reviews. Being a transplant from Costa Mesa awhile back I was in search of a bar that had both a good feel and good prices. Immediately I was taken by the very laid back atmosphere of this establishment. It was very nice to escape the "I'm cooler than you bro" feeling that I regularly got when entering a new bar back home.

The service (Besides the bartender who was rad) had very low levels of intelligence, but in their defense they maintained a very polite manner. They were overtly rude or pushy and hell they eventually got me what I ordered.

The patrons who have been slammed in the previous reviews cannot be held accountable merely due to their geographical location. Being upset at an establishment due to its nostalgic effect on you is rather unfair.

I did not see any "White Trash" folks, not that I would ever refer to anyone as such... well ... unless they were..

While sitting on the patio with my beer and smokes, I was randomly approached by a couple who asked my name.

Slightly startled I responded "Chris". They invited me to join their group and meet everyone.
Initially my feeling was to thank them but decline the invitation, but then I had an idea. What if these folks were sincerely just trying to be polite?

The rest of the story isn't important. I would like to say however that out of all the bars I've been to in recent memory this really does stand out, ok ok I know this was a one time experience and such. But instead of being upset at people not going anywhere in their life, how about you talk to them and see what they've been doing. Casting judgment on any group of people just because they hang out somewhere is rather cowardly. Anyways I'm rambling. Go here, relax and if someone is polite to you... Think it over before you hit them with the isolationist stick.

Odds of getting pulled over 8 - 10 or 2 -10. While there is a police station across the street, I normally would go higher. I mean you can hit the damn thing with a rock. But of all the times I've seen never has anyone been popped while leaving the drive. Side deal?
