Acapulco Mexican Restaurant Y Cantina

Me and the wife are fond of Acapulcos. All locations, this is the closest one. None or rarely a problem.

It is the service that makes me come back. They have good deals. The food is good it's not the best but its good. To me service goes a long way and there's a young gentleman I believe his name is Jesse excellent service. Everytime we go there we asked to be served by him.

I came here for happy hour with the boyfriend last night. Left pretty buzzed so I'm thinking their margies are pretty strong since I only had 2!

Happy hour is until 8pm. $3.99 margaritas, well drinks and beers. Upgrade to "premium liquor" for $1 more. I love how they showcased Smirnoff as their vodka premium upgrade. Hah! Appetizers are half off and there were about 6 to choose from. We had the taquitos and spicy chicken wings. Both were okay. The taquitos were corn, which I wasn't a fan of. They were overly crispy. Flour is way better. The wings were pretty okay, not a huge fan of the sauce they use though.  

Our waiters were a little strange though. We were first greeted by a rambunctious gentleman who told us that although the margaritas were listed as $3.99 on the menu he said, and I quote "$3.99, no no, who cares, they're $2! I'll give them for you for $2! All night!" The boyfriend and I both responded in a very gracious "Oh really? Gee thanks!" The boyfriend had a mango marg and I had a regular. His came blended which he didn't ask for, but didn't want to send back so he just drank it. I enjoyed my margie but he said his was overly sweet and tasted weak. Mehh. Later a lady server helped us out for the remainder of the evening, even though our original waiter was still there. She brought our check and we saw that we were charged for 1- $2 margarita, and the other 2 were $3.99. Bogus. I'm not going to complain over a couple of bucks, but don't tell us that the margies are going to be $2 all night and charge us something different.

This place is a okay. I still prefer El Torito.
