The Pacific Amphitheatre

Went to see the Go go's last night. My wife and I attend this venue a few times a year to see the oldies but goodies.  Generally it's been fun with an occassional drunk to deal with. Okay.

But last night, I was extremely disappointed with the sound. We were seated in Section 7 about 1/2 way down, and we couldn't hear Belinda Carlisle over the crowd noise.

I know they have problems with sound levels here, but this was ridiculous.  I won't be going back if I can't get tickets next to the stage.

There is no better feeling at a concert when your favorite singer plays your favorite song. Ironically, Colbie Caillat sang "Favorite Song" tonight and I felt all my happy cells rage with excitement. It was glorious and heavenly. Oh man, I fangirl-ed so hard tonight!

Putting aside my Colbie-high, who doesn't love an outdoor venue during the summer nights? There isn't a bad seat in the house, the beer stations are located all the way in the back and serve Longboard beer. The snack dude walking around was selling pretzels and churros but avoid them; they end up soggy from being wrapped in paper and placed in a bag.

Visit during the fair since your ticket doubles as admission to the OC Fair. Upcoming shows for Summer 2013 are Weezer, The Flaming Lips, Hunter Hayes, Styx, and so forth.

This is one of my favorite concert spots.  Been here many times and always enjoyed the show and venue.   Lots of food options (the kabobs were pretty good too)  and everything seems clean.  I didn't feel to cramped compared to other venues.  I highly recommend this venue!  Free fair admission too!
