This used to be the place we went for occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and the like, and was always great, but it's gone down hill. I think they abandoned the fine dining concept for mass appeal, which is ironic, because when we used to go there it was packed and the last two times no one was there, and we are talking Saturday night at 8.
My biggest disappointment was with the menu. They added pizza and sandwiches and a bunch of stuff that you find at any chain, like fish n chips and steak tips, sandwiches, burgers, and dumbed down crap. If you want that, go to Fridays next store and save about $60. My second complaint was no one was there, but I can't fault the restaurant for that, but I guess that has to do with confusion about what kind of place it is--fine dining, or casual dining that it seems to have become.
I will say, that the food is still good. I ordered a steak that was cooked well and was very nice, as was just about all the food we had. And the dining room is still great, as it always has been, but empty.
Another compliant was paper specials on the table, and other marketing on the table, that doesn'f fit with my idea of fine dining.
Bottom line, its not the fun scene it used to be and when you sit down to spend at least $100 on a meal for 2, you want to get dressed up and enjoy every aspect of it--they used to have valet parking--and not feel like you are getting the same thing, and the same crowd you get at Chili's or Fridays. Maybe only the chef still cares cause we still got a good meal.
A note on the service. Mostly good, but toward the end of the meal, the waiter came over to the table and as he walked away we noticed a terrible stench. We looked at each other thinking: was that you? and we were convinced the waiter left a terrible fart at our table. Id blame it on another customer, but as I said, we were one of only three or four tables in the whole place.
Sad, because I used to love this place. Still hope they refine the menu again and get back to when it was fine dining, and not trying to compete with Fridays. Next birthday, I'll go to Isabella's in Dedham, which is always great.
A lot of money for a lot of disappointment! We have been going to sky for father's day brunch for several years. Although it has pretty much always had the standard brunch buffet fare for a lot of money, the service has been good and the buffet was always well stocked. Not so today. The service was very iffy- had to ask for more hot water for tea. Had to borrow my daughter's knife, and this is for a really nice tip for someone who only has to bring beverages and silverware. What!! The food was really disappointing- my first round at the buffet looked like everything needed to be replenished. I scraped the bottom of the barrel for huevos rancheros, declined to take the meager amount of mussel risotto remaining and tried the prime rib hash and the home fries. If the prime rib hash was made with prime rib I'll eat my hat- it tasted like I was eating my hat already. The home fries were TERRIBLE, and the huevos rancheros were surprisingly pretty good. Second round I tried again for the mussel risotto- still hadn't been replenished, but I scraped the bottom of the barrel again and managed to get a little. Way too spicy- no nuanced flavor, no lovely risotto creaminess- no great shakes. For dessert they were out of Creme brûlée- the only thing I would have considered. My father in law brought me a piece of cake- blah and bland. Everyone with us who had waffles and omelettes seemed to enjoy them. Most cooks should have a hard time ruining these things.
I did a lot of research this father's day to try to avoid going to Sky again, but so many places don't take reservations and it is harder for older folks to wait, so we really need a place that takes reservations. Next year we will definitely be elsewhere. We can be done now. I was not happy with the food, and I was not happy with the service. Luckily the company was great!
I have been here on a few occasions and have always had good service and good food but for some reason always forget about it, but I think its because everytime I have come here, its been on a date.. Â with someone I wasn't all that into (don't judge me..). Â So technically, its not the restaurant's fault.
The decor is really nice, the menu has some interesting and delicious apps and entrees, though prices say "Boston proper" more than "The Auto Mile" which is off-putting. Â The cocktail menu is also pretty pricey for where you are and what you get. Â The being said, the Ahi Tuna app was delicious, the Beet and Pear salad would have been evern better if they'd remembered to add the goat cheese (sigh..), my date's steak was good and his veggies not over cooked.
Overall, Sky is a good place to meet a date you have tepid feelings about, if you would like to have a good meal and slightly higher than expected prices.
Went for brunch today. Just great. The fact that you don't wait at the omelette station is extremely efficient. You order and it is brought directly to your table. Many many choices. Make your own Bloody Mary which I have never seen before. Nice jazz and not too loud. If I had any criticism at all it is that the coffee is terrible. Not hot at all. I changed over to tea. Figured at least I could get hot water. All in all though great experience
Review Source:This was the second time we dined here. The first time was 4 years or so ago.  I remembered a nice environment, but couldn't remember the food.  First the good.  The restaurant itself is nice.  Nice separate bar and dining areas.  I don't think the posted photos do it justice.  A covered drive-up entrance makes it ideal for dropping off your lady during inclement weather.  The tables and booths  are nicely spaced so that you don't have the feeling you are on top of the next table and are able to have a private conversation making it ideal for date nights.
Our bartender was friendly, responsive and quick. Â My wife enjoyed her pomegranate martini and I my IPA. Â They offer a good selection of beers on tap.
As for the dining experience, our server was friendly and attentive. Â However, she got our wine order wrong and after spending a good deal of time trying to locate what we ordered she brought us the wrong wine and had to go back.
My lamb Osso Bucco was so so . Â Not quite tender and not quite flavorful enough. Â It's served with mashed potatoes ... risotto would have been better. Â My wife and I agreed that hers is better. Â I also had a mixed salad which came with blueberries, nuts, and blue cheese. Â It was tasty and fresh but a bit too sweet.
My wife ordered the spicy fish tacos and a house salad. Â She liked both, although I found the tacos a bit too salty. Â I was surprised it didn't come with salsa or guacamole, just chips.
Sky is a good place to meet friends, but the cuisine is not going to be enough for foodies. Â My wife thought it deserved three stars, but meh ... I've experienced better.
My husband and I came for dinner the night before Thanksgiving before hitting the road for the holiday weekend. We were seated right away in the dinning room and the waitress approached us right away. The parking lot looked busy but the dining room only had a few tables taken. I think most people come here to enjoy the bar area (which is pretty cozy).
We ordered 6 raw oysters to start, I had a mixed green salad and then the grilled swordfish with asparagus and lobster risotto. The entree was delicious- the swordfish was very tender, the asparagus was crunchy (which I like) and the risotto had chunks of lobster. My husband had the NY Sirloin which he said he enjoyed.
Everything came out nicely timed and the waitress was attentive and friendly. It is slightly expensive, if you indulge in a starter/salad, but for a special meal or corporate event, I would recommend Sky.
I believe they have changed management over the last year and I would say that this visit was a vast improvement over prior visits.
I agree the food is great unfortunately make sure you check your chair before you sit in it. Â I am not a heavy woman weighing in at 120 pounds and when I leaned back in my seat the chair fell apart and my back hit the chair on the floor. Â Management didn't do a terrific job in taking care of the situation. Â They definitely need more practice in what to do when an emergency happens. Â Luckily I didn't break anything but am going to the chiropractor. Â Not worth the price won't go back
Review Source:Came here for the second time in 10 years for dinner. This place is ideal for couples or a special occasion (anniversary, special date, couples/group outing, etc). Food is much better than average...but you would expect that for $20+ an entree. Service was excellent. Lighting in the main dining area could be dimmed a little bit near the walls. Selection of wines by the glass was better than average, but disappointed they didn't have more than one choice of Merlot. However, the Merlot was pretty good to be fair. Bar area is classy and pretty busy on weekend nights. Not the type of place where you come for beer but more so cocktails and wine. For a couple with dinner, app, a few drinks, and tip expect to spend at least $120. Wasn't wowed with their menu choices but everything we ordered was very good.
Review Source:Kelly and I came here one night for dinner after we decided we didn't want the same old routine of places we usually go to. We had a great meal and the service was superb. Kelly got the Lobster Mac and Cheese and I had the Chicken Parm, both of us loved our meals. The portions were impressive!
We decided to try the Desert Plate, which consisted of chocolate fondue and a plethora of dipping items like cake, brownies, fresh fruit, granola bars, etc. It was heavenly!!
The atmosphere was fantastic as well! Sky would make a perfect place to take someone on a date, whether it's your first or 15th. The waterfall and dimmed lighting really set a nice tone, however it's not overly stylish were a middle classer like myself would few uncomfortable.
I can't wait to go back!
I really enjoyed this place. Â Nice setting, plenty of space between tables, nice decor. Â Staff was friendly. Â The food was excellent. Â I had the lamb that was cooked perfectly. Â My son's kids meal was really good too, he finished it completely which is unusual for him.
I came here on a groupon discount, but I will be back on my own dime.
I have been here quite a few times over the years. Â My '3' is based on the food, while the place itself would get a 4 - 5 based on ambience and service. Â On my recent visit, I ordered veggie spring rolls and crab ragoons off the summer specials menu and for an entree the mac and cheese plus lobster @ $24. The apps were phenomenal but the mac and cheese was too burnt and a little too fishy:( Â My company ordered the chicken parmesan, which they weren't very happy with but I thought it was okay (just okay). Â Our waitress was awesome - very attentive and making sure we had what we needed. Â
In the past the nachos were enthusiastically recommended to me so I took the advice and had them. Â May I advise you not to waste your time with nachos here. Â This is not the kind of place you come to for nachos.
I will definitely return and try the bar area as well as the restaurant area again.
I came here based on the recommendation of a friend (a yelp extremist and elite I might add as well). Thanks to her, my boyfriend and I make up an excuse as to why we should spend nearly a hurtful amount of $$$ for a worthy dinner.
Not only is the decor elegantly modern, but it also carries a somewhat feng shui vibe with the beautiful waterfall wall. After a delicious appetizer, entree, dessert and wines, we left wondering why we had never tried this place out sooner? Every meal we've consumed from Sky has sat right in our tummies and taste buds.
However, I feel as a poor person (thanks college!) that this place calls for special occasion events (birthdays, anniversaries, etc,) because as a broke person (thanks college!) you'll simply feel out of place...maybe...I mean, the prices are high but not SKY high (get it? haHAA).
It's a great place for food, nice decor, good service. What's not to love?
Here's what we ate and recommend from them (elevator music in the background):
Appetizer: Lettuce Wrap (Make your own. A lot for an appetizer)
Small Ceasar Salad (Small Croutons! :) )
Enree: Parmesan Encrusted Chicken (I did spinach instead of green beans. And the              Parmesan risotto is to die for!)
Grilled Steak Tips (My boyfriend's choice, great barbecue)
Dessert: Boston Cream Pie (It's too small for me!!!!!!!!!!)
Came in last night and was amazed at how pretty this restaurant is. I liked the waterfall in the main dining room. I ordered the crab ragoons for an app (it was a special i think) and they were amazing. Our server was a very sweet woman who kept our drinks full and overall very attentive.
I had the lamb chops and they were very good. Â I didnt care for the sides it came with. Our server rushed and got different sides which were very yummy. I also had some of my sisters lobster mac & cheese. It was pretty ok.
I would definitely come back and try more items off their menu.
Service : A+
Decor: A+

LOML and I were over to get the Batmobile repaired at Dalzells Volvo in Foxboro and decided a return to Sky was in order. Bread and oil hit the table before chowder with bacon pieces were selected for our start and we were not disappointed. Tough to get bad chowder anywhere around Boston.
LOML selected Mac and cheese with no options (chicken, lobster, shrimp) and I opted for the French dip sandwich. Don't know what they do with the m&c but outside of LOML's it's the best we have ever tasted. The French dip was great (perfect med rare) with a little creamy horseradish but the au jus tasted like onion soup from a can (big disappointment). Fries on a half bag felt very Parisienne and were hot and crispy. Couple of cokes and we were back on the road fighting crime in North Gotham.
I just bought a car at one of the 350 dealerships nearby and after doing a quick Yelp search we learned that Sky could accommodate a gluten allergy so we gave it a shot. The first thing you notice is how massive this place is. It's no wonder they advertise for wedding parties as the place has a stately feel with big wide hallways and lots of private rooms for smaller parties.
The gluten free menu is awesome and all it took was for my wife to see Lobster Mac and Cheese on there and she didn't need to consider any of the other options. I guess they recently revamped their regular menu as well and I went with one of the newer options - the Turkey Burger and sweet potato fries.
The Mac and Cheese was a little more watery than we were expecting, but it tasted great and had lots of lobster in it. The Turkey Burger was good as well with the fries perfectly crispy. The waitress was really nice and attentive and the drinks were tasty as well.
We'll definitely be back even though it's a bit of a trek from Waltham. If you are a fellow Celiac this place is definitely worth the ride.
Went back. Â Still have the same feelings. Â We tried the Chef's Board, Fried Pickles, Baja Egg Rolls, Fried Calamari, and the Prosciutto and Fig Pizza.
The Chef's Board was a trio with goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto with balsamic reduction, brie and prosciutto in puff pastry with mango and strawberry salsa, and warm pears wrapped with prosciutto over a small salad. Â The brie combo wasn't warm at all. Â The pear combo was burnt, and the salad was drenched in dressing.
Fried pickles were 90% dough and 10% pickle. Â There was a nice dipping sauce, but not worth it.
The Baja egg rolls were the only positive. Â Full of great ingredients, and the salsa and queso were full of flavor.
I already stated my feelings on the calamari, but the bf likes it.
The pizza was overly sweet. Â The figs were dry and chewy.
The thing that ticked me off the most was that everything was brought out at the same time when I specified to bring the first two then the other three. Â We waited a while, then everything was brought at the same time. Â Looked like a crazy buffet. Â Apps then dinner? Â Guess it doesn't happen there.
Still, do not recommend.
Been there 4 times prior over the years and it was good. what the heck happened.??? I took a couple there last thursday night and it was horrific!!!!! $12 martini served in a water glass because at 7pm "they were out of martini glasses." Then, after 1 hour, two conversations with the alleged "manager", a set a mediocre appetizers on the house, and a $55 bottle of wine we took our out of town guests to Legacy. And to top it off the manager came running out into the parking lot, not to apologize for the ruined evening but to accuse me of running out on the bill! I advised him calmly that I left the $100 gift certificate on the table because noboby came to the table and we were sick of waiting.
PS Because of my prior affinity for Sky I called to speak to the GM before posting this review and he never returned my call. The Sky has lost me and my friends and family.
I had one of the WORST DINING EXPERIENCES ever. For the first time, I left a restaurant very unsatisfied and hungry. Everything from the service to the food was disappointing especially for a $$$ restaurant.
Here's the breakdown:
House-made root vegetable ravioli was LUKEWARM and had a FUNNY/BLAND taste. For $19, I should of stayed home to eat my frozen raviolis from Trader Joes. I doubt it was "house-made."
I sent it back and got lobster risotto and crab cakes. The lobster risotto came out LUKEWARM and the risotto was RAW. The crab cake and/or the sauce tasted and SMELLED AWFUL, like it was SPOILED!
My partner ordered the NY sirloin--which was fine, not great. We ordered a side of creamed spinach and it looked like boiled spinach DRENCHED in HEAVY CREAM.
The prosciutto and fig pizza was okay. A little on the sweet side, too much figs, rarely any prosciutto, but it was fine.
And the SERVICE... The server was slow and poorly trained, and he was actually training another new server. Need I say more?
The MANAGER offered me a different meal, but by that point, who has an appetite? He said "I would like to do something for you. Let me see what I can do..." then DISAPPEARED and never came back.
I'm appalled and so angry about this experience. A date night gone horribly wrong... Probably would have been better off at a chain restaurant..
I have been to Sky Norwood several times previously for dinner and drinks, but we made reservations immediately after Mother's Day to try the Father's Day brunch buffet. My father was excited to try it since the Phantom Gourmet rated it as the best brunch around.
The first thing that shocked me was the service was sub-par, especially as compared to my other visits. I will give our waiter the benefit of the doubt that they place was truly bustling that day. He was slow, slightly inattentive and our water glasses went dry (a pet peeve of mine). My mother's napkin had a blood stain on it, which is something you never want to see in a restaurant -- especially one with white napkins (bleach, anyone?).
I loved the custom Bloody Mary menu, but I went with a peach bellini ($8) instead. It was delicious, made with fresh peach nectar. The buffet warranted a room of its own, and it covered all the bases with a made-to-order egg station, carving station and chocolate fountain. I especially loved the egg station because you placed your order with a friendly hostess who took your name and table number -- leaving you to go get other goodies while your order was made and delivered to your table. Everyone should do this. My tomato, bacon, mushroom, cheddar omelet was a bit overcooked for my taste, but still yummy. I went back for Eggs Benedict, which was perfect minus the lemon undertones.
The rest of the food was good. The "crispy bacon" (yes, the sign actually said that) was high quality. The hash browns were spicy. The lunch items shined, however, in my mind. The sweet and sour chicken and shrimp was delicious, and the cajun mac & cheese had me going back for seconds (and contemplating thirds). It had the perfect kick, the right amount of cheesy goodness and Canadian bacon or sausage (not sure) that took it to another level. The carved sirloin was tender and perfectly cooked, and the accompanying mushroom gravy was perfect. I didn't try the mashed potatoes, but boyfriend was convinced they were instant. I have to say the chocolate in the chocolate fountain was divine, and they had almost anything available that you would want to dip in chocolate from fresh fruit to chunks of seven-layer bars.
We left full and mostly satisfied, but I have to say that the $28 per person price tag left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. I'm not sure it was worth that.
I am not going to say I whole-heartedly recommend Sky for brunch, but I definitely recommend them for dinner, and I will not let this experience keep me away. Just give me a tray of that cajun mac & cheese!
Service here is usually ok, although we had a really awkward server once who made me and my parents feel very uncomfortable. Didn't like that....
But anyway, the brunch buffet here is good! I've done brunch here atleast 6 times I think. I recommend it if you want to overeat and feel like you are going to explode for the rest of the day.
They have a good spread of options which are breakfasty and lunchy. Also they have a carving station if you are carnivorous, and also an omelet station for made to order eggs and pancakes.
The best part is that not only do they have a great dessert spread, but there is a delightful chocolate fountain into which you may dip a great assortment of fruit, pretzels, and confections. Yay for a comatose inducing brunch!!!!
I've never had dinner here, but I don't think I would unless I was starving and driving by. There are so many good options nearby, and I don't get the impression (based on reviewing the menu) that it would be anything special... but also I don't guess it would be bad.
The atmosphere here is nice. I think there is live music at brunch (I can't rememeber cause it was at a low noise level), and there is a waterfall against one of the back walls which is soothing. The restaurant is large and airy, though a little dimly lit, and the booths are comfortable.
Try the brunch buffet, but prep with many visits to the gym beforehand or pay the price and gain several pounds.
1/2 priced Burgers every Monday - ALL DAY! How could I say no to that??
My hubby, friend, and I stopped in today for exactly this. Me being the burger fan I needed to try it out. I thought I'd be expecting just a cheeseburger for half off but no! Every burger on their menu is half off. Yes, even the breakfast burger with a fried over easy egg and canadian bacon on top, sautéed onions, avocado, and yellow peppers. Are you drooling yet... you should be! It was the bomb. I might have to go get my heart unclogged but it was worth it! And for $6!!!! It also came with a side of french fries. They were simple fries but I was too busy being a piggy with my burger.
The hubby and my friend ordered the Texas BBQ burger. From the silence and grunts, I think they enjoyed it. No one was speaking to each other. And you know what that means - we were too busy eating.
The waiter let us know that every day from 4-6pm they have half off apps. So you're telling me I can return on a Monday evening, order a burger for $6, and an appetizer for half off. Hello, of course I'll be back.
Oh yeah, and the atmosphere and service were great!! This is also a great spot for a date. They have this awesome waterfall and dim lighting to set the mood.
Great place to go for dinner.
The food is always well prepared. They have a decent selection on the menu. Of course my favorite was the dessert platter. you need four people to eat it....or two if you skip the meal. its a variety or fruits, marshmallow and small bits of pound cake/brownie. In the center is a hot bowl of chocolate for dipping. It is good I promise.
One of the things that keeps me coming back to Sky is the atmosphere. The lights and the waterfall can be real pretty when you come at night.
all in all they are worth a trip.
Yummy hot bread, great service, great food.
Dropped in for lunch and it was pretty quiet. Â The place is large, with multiple function rooms, as well as cabaret-style booth seating in the main dining room. Â This would be a great place for a business meeting, a romantic dinner, or just drinks.
Got a seat near the infinity fountain. Had knowledgeable, friendly and prompt service.
Cocktails that were well-balanced and used real ingredients (not mixes, as far as I could tell). Â They have a small selection of notable beers in the bottle (Smuttynose IPA is the only one I can remember.) , as well as some more common ones on draft Blue Moon, Stella, Sam Summer and the like). Â The beer selection is probably the only point where they could improve.
Portions were very generous and the entrees of all the people at our table were big enough to be split between two people. Â The lobster sandwich is AMAZING if you can get it in season. Â I loved this one in particular because there's no celery in it (ack!) and it's not drenched in mayo or sauce. Â Fantastic.
For lunch it was a little pricey, but delicious and worth the treat.
This was my first time but I will definitely be back to try out their dinner menu.
I've been driving past this place for years. In fact, my 10 year high school reunion was held in the function room. Never given much thought to the Sky. However, that all changed when a friend gave me a gift card.
Went there for my birthday with the wife. It was a Sunday evening and was not crowded. Bar was 30-40% full and the restaurant had 5 or 6 parties. Very slow to me but I don't know what's par for Sky.
I always order the raw bar when available. Waitress didn't know what was available nor the type. Not good. Oysters were from Chatham and a bit briny. I prefer the Blue Points but you roll with the punches. I wanted to try several of the apps. So went with the half order of the squash ravs, caesar salad with 2 slices of anchovy on the side and fresh bread.
The apps were a hit but the oysters failed to impress. The bread is from CT and I'm not a bread person, so when I tell you the bread was good - it's greeeeeat.
The wife loved her salmon salad but my 14z steak was doomed from the start. Even the wife commented on the presentation. The steak looked dry and the cut resembled something from the Old Country Buffet. Min you - I haven't gone to OCB in a long time and that's another review. Â ;)
All in all, there are many other options and I think I'm sticking to Legacy Place.
I went to Sky for a friends birthday. Â There was 6 of us in total. Â
First impression: the place looks huge, the parking lot is full, but when you walk in, it was a ghost town. Â We started at the bar. Â The drinks were good. Â
When we got to our table, our waiter was quick and rude to us. Â When we asked questions he seemed annoyed. Â Then he would disappear for long periods of time. Â My friend ordered the calamari and when it came out it has cheese on it. Â Because my friend is allergic to cheese she asked for another one without cheese. Â Again our server was clearly annoyed and rude to us. Â Â Our waiter then came back and told us that they were out of the two entree specials and we had to pick other items off the menu. Â
The food was mediocre. Â
The atmosphere is awful. Â I don't want to eat in a large dining room with zero ambiance and a waterfall. Â Â
If I go back, it will be to go drink in the bar.
So I've finally been here for dinner and I have to say it was quite good. Â Also, the atmosphere is MUCH different at night... sort of dark and Film Noiresque.
My appetizer fig and prosciutto pizza was not as great as I had expected it to be, but the martinis were well crafted (albeit pricey) and the lobster mac and cheese was very good (I loath mac and cheese with breading, but they fried theirs or something so it was cripsy in the dish which was awesome).
Also, our server was very attentive and friendly and we have a reservation and our table was already set and ready when we walked in the door.
Great place for a nice date and/or Sunday brunch for a special occasion but a bit on the pricey side. Â It would be nice if they offered a choice of entrees for brunch in addition to the all you can eat. Â The best thing is half price appetizers in the bar on weekdays! Â You can get some outstanding food for a great price in a fun atmosphere!
Review Source:My Norwood-local friends took me for an elaborate brunch buffet at Sky several years ago, and I had remembered being very satisfied with the substantial meal. Â Though I try to avoid buffets because my eyes and stomach are too big for their own good, I offered the destination as an option when recently visiting Norwood with several other friends. Â Surprisingly, the buffet was still priced at the $28 rate I remembered from years prior, so I was sold. Â
Sky is essentially a large mansion that is located on a commercial highway. Â The dining hall offers several classically decorated rooms and a dark, wooden bar area. Â Due to the large size of our party, we were able to enjoy the cocktail lounge all to ourselves. Â We ordered beverages, which were ridiculously not included in the meal cost, and went to check out the goods being served at the buffet. Â The outer edges of the room were reserved for warm breakfast items, like potatoes and sausage links, as well as lunch selections, such as stuffed chicken, salads, and a carving station. Â Another wall housed a made-to-order omelet and Belgian waffle counter, where you could view your options and place your order. Â Your creation was then shortly delivered to your table. Â In addition, a multitude of desserts, including an alluring chocolate fountain, were tauntingly located in the corner of the room.
I found the breakfast potatoes crisp and spicy, yet greasy. Â My egg white omelet was packed with fresh spinach, peppers, tomatoes, and mushrooms. Â Though it tasted flavorful enough, it was swimming in a layer of what looked like oil. Â For some reason, my friends' versions, which had been created from whole eggs, were much leaner. Â One of my companions blamed the watery spinach for being the culprit supplying the liquid on my plate, but I had my doubts. Â Aside from the marginal breakfast fare, I loved the tangy sweet and sour chicken over rice, the hearty roasted chicken stuffed with cranberries and breadcrumbs, and the freshly-carved roast beef. Â The chocolate fountain, fresh fruit, and cocoa-y chocolate chip cookies ended my meal on a sweet note.
Sky is a beautiful restaurant mostly enjoyed for special events and relaxed Sunday brunch. Â It delivers above average food in large portions and at moderate prices.
Went here on a business dinner and really enjoyed the chicken piccata. Â Also, great chowder, and this Colorado native doesn't get Boston chowder all that often so this was a real treat. Â
WIne list was good--the waitor gave us the silver list and said that the prices were marked down from normal (maybe this is seasonal or just on weekdays--not sure), but we had a tasty Landmark chardonnay for a reasonable price.
Good service.
Recommended by the hotel we were staying in. Â I'll go back when I visit the area again.
I'm in Norwood for business for about a month each year. Because of this, I've visited nearly every restaurant up and down Route 1 to keep from getting entirely bored.
I've been to Sky with co-workers on two occassions, both for dinner. The food was good, as well as the wine, but the prices are high. Granted, I was eating on the company $, but I really hate overpaying for anything.
I think this would be a good place to try to impress a date or for special occassions, but it is definitely not somewhere to go on a weekly basis.
I have been to Sky a few times. The atmosphere is nice. Nice waterfall in the main dining room, a separate room for the bar. I always try to have a different dish here everytime we go. I went on a double date with my hubby & some friends this past Saturday nite. We got the Mozzarella & Tomato appetizer, Shrimp cocktail & Southwestern Beef soup. We had gotten the Mussels Bianco before which are also really good.
For dinner my friend Tammy & I had the Chicken Marsala which was delicious and my husband got the Parmesan Encrusted Chicken, which is normally very good but he said it was a little overcooked this time. and his risotto was a tad bit salty and Tammy's boyfriend Jeff had gotten the Jumbo seared Scallops were cooked to perfection.
Our waitress was slow. she wouldn't take our appetizer order with the drink order and would not take our dinner order when we gave her our appetizer order , so she took 3 separate  orders, when we tried to tell her we knew what we wanted when she came around the 1st time.
But all & all the food is good. A little pricey for Norwood, but you can probably run into a Patriot here as I saw Junior Seau here last year.
Okay, so the foods good, but not great. And the service is hit or miss at times. Â And the crowds can be overwhelming on the weekend. Â And the drinks are a little on the weak side. Â And this place is billed as a family friendly restaurant, so what I am about to say is a little strange to say the least.
What really makes this place entertaining are the Cougars and Pumas hang out and prowling the bar scene.  Seriously,  I think I've been asked  if I was here alone or with someone a dozen times.  I thought I was being Punked by Ashton, but I'm not a celeb, just a poor biologist.
Anyway, I thought I should share; so if you're into the 30-50 crowd and you're feeling like a piece of meat, you've found the perfect jungle.
If you want to feel what it is like to be treated like a king, come here! Â I feel so spoiled after coming here. Â The service was sooo good! Â And just as important, the food was great too! Â I had Mac, Cheese, and Lobster. Â Sophisticated comfort food! Â It was great! Â Before the main dish, they served a seafood salad in a martini glass containing cocktail shrimp and scallops which was also delicious!! Â
Sky Restaurant is a former banquet hall located on Route 1 that has been remodeled and turned into a nice restaurant. Â The prices are not cheap. Â Expect to pay $20-$30 for your main course. Â However, the quality of the food , the nice atmosphere, and the service makes this one well worth it in my opinion. Â 5 stars all the way for this one!
Dressed up American food. Its good stuff, and their drink menu is extensive. The decor in the restaurant and bar is artsy. Their bar is pretty big, and has a bunch of tv screens so you can catch the game. The dining room has its own waterfall, which is an original idea. They have a lot of pasta, seafood, and steak dishes, and lots of creative appetizers. I like their baja eggrolls (appetizer). Everything is on the pricey side, but the ambiance, and presentation of the food (and taste) makes up for it. Definately a romantic place to go. They also have the original Sky in Sudbury, MA. go to <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sky-restaurant.com&s=8b9bde3769f6ede5751c409cf6877da65246a87ce95a34ef2fe6251e99c809cd" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.sky-restauran…</a> to see the menu, etc.
