The Slidebar Rock-N-Roll Kitchen

Tried out this place for the first time and LOVED it.  The meals are tasty and satisfying.  Great size portions.  There's outdoor seating, which is where we sat.  The server was very nice and attentive.  Since we ate during lunch, I hear it takes on a whole new meaning during the later hours of the day, so I was pleasantly surprised that we could dine here and really enjoy some peace and awesome food at lunch time.

Drinks were ok but food was TERRIBLE. I can tell every single ingredients was frozen for a LONG LONG TIME. It was disgusting. But I give 2 stars for a good service.

This review is purely on happy hour.  I go to places just for happy hour bc i am a student and even if i wasn't i enjoy saving $$. I am always searching for the best happy hour offerings (drink+food specials). Went to the Slidebar yesterday with my bf and we were happy with our experience. We both got draft imported beers( bc if i wanted a light beer i would just drink water honestly) i got a Newcastle and he got something i don't remember $3 each not bad. All opening acts( appetizers) are half off during happy hour 3-8pm M-F, sundays 4pm to close i believe not sure. Each day they offer a special so check those too, yesterday since it was tuesday they had $1 tacos but we did not feel like eating that. For food we ordered the calamari, the mac and cheese, sliders, and chili tater tots called smothered tots. Everything was excellent! the mac and cheese was really good, the sliders came with fries! ( the menu did not say they did) the burgers were fresh and seasoned well, also juicy which is a plus bc most places give you medium well/well sliders... yuck! the fries had garlic on them =) very tasty. The calamari was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. My bf's smothered tots were good as well, i was surprised by the chili it was good not just okay like at many other places. I have to say by far this is the best happy hour i have found in DTF. Our bill was $28 something  for 3 beers and 4 full-sized appetizers that was very good! we had to ask for boxes of course we got full. Definitely give them a try.

PS: * The service was good too! our server handled the whole place by herself pretty much ( i did not see a second waitress) and did a great job.
* LOVED the decor/ambiance/music, i will def. have to go back on a night they have a band playing.
