The Sly Mongoose

If you crave dive bars then here is your haven.  Lots of beers, frozen root beer schnapps and fireball.   Locals will tell you whats up here too.  Probably the most down to earth people on the island here.

This is a classic dive bar, located back in a more industrial area yet still right off the main road. It's a little small but if you just want drinks for a good price then it does the job. What I liked most here was that the bartender was an old pro and super nice even to us tourists.

This seemed like the only authentic bar in Maui... the only one that didn't feel like some sort of tourist trap.  I wish I had spent more time here.
