Very good food. Had a pulled pork sandwich and potato soup (Best Ever). Note - they are now located at the corner of W Jefferson & Main.

Stumbled across this cafe for lunch and I was very pleased with our lunch.   Smoked turkey with Swiss on sourdough and pulled pork sandwich were tasty.  However, the chili and potato soup fantastic.  I will go back!

I got to use my first yelp deal here! I did get a dollar off when you check in.

We were aiming for breakfast but we  couldn't find anywhere that was still serving breakfast so we walked down here. I really wanted to try it before leaving Nashville.

We started off with frozen lemonade and a strawberry banana smoothie. The lemonade was good but nothing special. It also cost $4 and was quite small. It took a little while to get our food but we came in right at 11 when they opened so it was understandable.

As for food... the two guys I was with got the pulled pork. They said it was good but not the most amazing they have ever had. There was a great selection of bbq sauces. I got the soup/sandwich combo. For the sandwich I got chicken salad. It was decent but the bread was a little hard. For the soup I got mushroom. It was amazing! The mushrooms were a good size and the soup was thick and delicious.

I plan to visit Nashville again and I will definitely come back!

Great restaurant in downtown nashville.  The special is always fantastic and the prices are very reasonable.  The smoothies are great for a hot summer day!

Have you ever visited Nashville, Indiana?  If not, you should...   Nashville, IN, is a small artsy town just north of Indiana University and west of Columbus, Indiana.  While the town is small, there are a number of reasons to make it a stop on your journey through life - one of those reasons is Soup to Nuts.

This is a small family restaurant that serves perfectly prepared soups, hearty sandwiches and one mean  chili dog.   During a recent stay, I ate here every day it was open and enjoyed every meal.  Among the highlights, STN serves a really good portable French Onion Soup.  The soup has a bold flavor and has the thickness to hold up to the melted cheese and croutons.   The soup is also the perfect thickness for dipping a piece of their fresh made sourdough bread.

The other really great item on their menu is the chili dog.  The dog itself is plump and is the perfect size to match up to a heaping helping of STN's homemade chili.  Best of all, STN, places their dog in a sectioned part of their sourdough baguette, which is important because the bun holds up to the weight of the dog, mustard, chili, shredded cheese, kraut, fresh jalapenos and hot sauce (which is personally how I like my dogs).

The third really great item is their Reuben!  Reubens, like, French Onion soup has a special place in my heart.  STN's Reuben is packed with perfectly shredded corned beef, a decent slice of Swiss, crisp kraut and homemade dressing - which is always a plus.  My sandwich usually came out to about a pound and was perfect mate for any of their wonderful homemade soups.

While I have to admit that many of the dining options in Nashville have slipped in the past few years, STN and a few other small places shows that there is still good reason to stop for a meal in this small Indiana town.
