I hidden gem! My wife and I had a fabulous meal there this past Saturday. I had the paiella that was probably one of the best I've had even from a Spanish/Portuguese restaurant. My wife had a chicken & artichoke dish that was also great! The salads were even exceptional. The blue cheese was not out of a bottle. It was so creamy & fresh. The waitress was very good and the prices were fair. I wish I had asked to see the chef to praise him/her and the staff for a great meal. Sadly the only negative was the coffee. Needed a lot more flavor. We're looking forward to going back soon.
Review Source:Many of you know my deal. Â I travel a lot for business, and at the end of a day working a group, all I want is to be alone having a quiet meal. Â Normally, I'm nonplussed by the food I get on the road, and was expecting nothing special in Nashua, NH. Â Speaker's Corner Pub surprised me not once, but three times during my recent stay at the Crowne Plaza. Â
I had three delicious meals with no disappointment at all including the Lobster cobb salad with large chunks of lobster meat, a French onion soup dripping with cheese and slow-cooked flavor, and a bacon-wrapped filet mignon stuffed with brie and...once again...lobster. Â (Not all on the same night, of course.) Â The kitchen even welcomed substitutions or extra veg in place of the starch. Â (Hey, you have to make trade offs when you're eating on the road, or risk ending up round and bloated like so many other business travelers.)
The martinis shaken by Cindy and Wendy (the lovely, friendly and fun bartenders) were copious enough to garner two full martinis from each one ordered. Â Plus, and this is a personal thing, they let me enjoy my V2 electronic cigarette at the bar. Â It helped me relax, and strike up a few interesting conversations when patrons wondered why I got to 'smoke' and they didn't.
I had a choice of where I ate during the week, given the fact that my car was right outside the door. Â However, even still, I chose to stay 'in situ' at the hotel, enjoying delicious food and good company at the bar of the Speaker's Corner Pub. Â If your car ends up in the area, definitely give it a try.
