Sportsman's Bar

For years I drove by this place wondering about it, but I never ventured in.  Now, I wish I had!  Since being introduced to Sportsman's Friday night poker a year and a half ago, it's become a favorite local spot.  There is a nice, diverse community of people that frequent this place... LOTS of regulars.  It's kind of become a little like Cheers for me...  a place where everybody knows your name.  

The owners are good people and are frequently on-site.  The bartenders are friendly and attentive, though we do put them to the test and give them a workout on poker night!!  

They have pool and darts... and are very active in the San Antonio pool leagues.  Great place to catch a game... two TVs at the bar and a HUGE screen out by the tables.  They are now running Texas Hold'em poker two nights a week... on Friday and Saturday at 7.  

Great place to have a drink with friends...  

Oh, and I am SO glad they went from beer & wine to a full bar!!
