Great pub. Â Have passed this place a few times, but this time we listened to our curiosity, and it was a great thing. Â Looks bigger inside than outside. Â Our table was in a comfortable corner, a bit cozy. Â The cloudy wet weather was a fitting backdrop for this english pub. Â The Smithwicks off the tap was a perfect break from christmas shopping. Â The roast beef sandwich was slabbed with warm thick slices of roastbeef, horseradish sauce on moist pretzel bread - just awesome. Â She had the reuben with just the right amount of savory and sour. Â
Also nice to find a place that keeps it classy.
Okay....location, location, LOCATION!!!
Woah, what a difference a few miles north makes... or south for that matter! I had my usual chicken with mac/cheese and mushrooms....pretty basic... so why did it all taste like crap?
The waitress forgot our drinks, then our appetizer (she was trying to be cute and not write our order down). My friend got a sandwich and specifically said twice "no tomatoes" guess what was on her sandwich...yup. The waitress copped major attitude when I asked about the appetizer and claimed we didn't order one...in the holiday spirit I let her have that one.
Won't be back. Will stick to Broadway or Blanco from here on out!
