Was driving by thinking about this joint, then saw it was closing and figured I'd get my last chance to comment. My (deceased) mother ate here religiously, I ate here once in a while. Hate to admit it, but in a weird way, some of the food was good - kinda like McD's is good, it wasn't 'authentic" it was... what it was, and you like it, but you don't know why..
Anyway, every year I'd get a coupon for something free - I think pasta, and a side salad or something trivial.
And, *gasp* I'd use it.
Last time I ever set foot in the dive, few years ago, a manger came out to "let me know" that "I wouldn't be doing this again next year" and "next year you're going to have to order more". Doing what - redeeming the coupon they send me, under the terms printed on it (dine-in!), Â and not ordering much more? I've got a neurological disorder, eating can make me ill, so I'd carry out, and I never order very much - hence a free coupon for a small meal isn't going to make me order much more. And I guess if you carry out you are invisible.
They never sent me another coupon - not that I had any intentions of going back after the rude service. Not sorry to see them close down.
My family and I have been eating at The Springfield Pasta Company for years! We highly recommend this restaurant. We love the Chicken Paradiso, which is a lightly breaded chicken breast served in a white wine sauce with mushrooms, broccoli, prosciutto, and provel cheese. It has more to it and it tastes amazing! This is just one of our favorites. We always are treated great here. Our servers are prompt and courteous, the management checks in with us and makes us feel like family. You have to give a place more than one try. Everyone has a not so perfect day. Since we have four kids, we love to go on Sundays after church because kids eat free with an adult meal. We also love the salad here. It isn't like any other place. By the way, we recently tried a couple of their sandwiches and they were amazing. There were big enough for two and delicious! Go ahead and give them a try.
