Might be my favorite karaoke place now! If you order $20 worth of food during happy hour (before 9pm), then 2 hours of karaoke is free. I dont' see how they can make money that way... but why should I say no to this? Karaoke are definitely good enough, the food is OK - fun place to hang out!!!!
Review Source:Chicken itself is pretty good. But not as good as original from Korea. Service all right. The reason I give only two star is because its overpriced and online menu does not reflect real price. I placed the order for a chicken with sauce and total came up to be almost $25 dollars. The online menu shows its 17.99 for chicken and it was huge disappointment
Review Source:The chicken is good!! That's what I come for. Â The staff is helpful in making menu decisions (portions for your table or flavor descriptions) and moderately priced. Â I'd go here over KFC for chicken. Crunchy, crispy and has a slight curry flavor. Â It's great to have it within walking distance and when you're in the mood to sing, you can belt it out. Â On a busy night, you'll probably only hear conversations in Korean.
Review Source:First off, let me say that although they don't have the most sophisticated set up nor the most plush rooms, this is by far one of the value-for-your-money Norebangs I have been to. They have HH where you can use the room w/ min food/beverage order of $20 (not person, per room!). I don't know any other Karaoke places that offer this type of a deal. On Mon - Wed for example - you can use the room from 5pm to 2am w/ min order of $20. Our group ate and sang til our hearts last night until 9:30 for only $8/person.
Owner Aram [spelt A Ram] (you wouldn't know that she's the owner since she's sooooo young!!) is SUPER accommodating and nice.
Pros:
1) LOTS and LOTS of Korean songs but they also have a good list of English songs to choose from.
2) Food - is pretty decent for bar food and it's served nice and fresh (hot)
3) Beverages are moderately priced
4) HH is super
Cons:
1) She needs to invest in some more books or post the songs online so I can have my list ready next time. Every time we go there, she comes in and steals one of our books  :(
2) The control panel is in Korean (even for me, it's hard to get around this thing sometimes)
3) No wireless microphone
4) The rooms get pretty hot so dress appropriately
Tip - the rooms are kind of tight and everyone needs to get up to let someone out from the inside which is kind of a hassle, but for the price you pay here, it's not that big of a deal to complain about so I deal w/ it  :)    Also, for a large group - I would recommend that you make a reservation since they only have four rooms that accommodate about 8 folks comfortably.
Probably one of many Korean karaoke bars about the area. I didn't know anything about this place prior to last night's get-together (thanks Hannah Y!). It seemed pretty new, modern and clean. One thing I don't get with the couple Korean karaoke venues I've been to is that WHY do they have no wireless mic's? There're these massive tables designed to be filled with drinks and food, yet we have to navigate this silly auxiliary chord around all this stuff and people's laps?! Uggh! And these big fancy machines with the sound displays are neat 'n stuff but I really think Rock Box should be the model regarding equipment---please go wireless and efficient!
Karaoke: Rooms appear to be one giant U-shape with a large table in the center. We had some food and drinks on ours. The food was pretty good; I think Koreans love it more, from what I've heard... some stuff I wanted to try we didn't get (dukbokki/spicy rice cake?)...I WAS ready to eat the whole bowl of daikon radish... ever since I first had KBBQ (note to self: eat KBBQ, again, sometime sooooon) awhile back, I fell in love with this wonderful, crisp and healthy root.
The English selection was fairly decent despite the Korean and Japanese domination. One thing I hated so much (lol...) was the same backgrounds rotating (it was like, "Oh the beach!" and "Oh, the ski slopes!"---no matter what song it was---99% of the time). I think 1% of the time there was actually a cityscape (Ooooh) in there sometimes, haha.
Overall, it's a minimum great place to karaoke as long as you have someone Korean to help you navigate any confusion and the machine control pad. And simply caters more to the Korean crowd. I don't do this sort of thing so far up in the North so I was glad I made the drive here.
PS. A funny side note, the toilet had a small "target" in the bowl. No explanation needed. ;)
we weren't gonna sing. we just came for the chicken.
instead, the two of us ended up in the private karaoke room and ordered a ton of food and ate and sang for 3 hours.
i had seen an ad for this establishment in a korean supplement to the seattle weekly.
i checked out yelp and their website. little did i know what i was in for.
there is a regular dining area. then, Â there are 4 private rooms down a hallway that will hold 10 karaokers (is this a real word?) Â in each room. the rooms are purchased by the hour with a discount if you order a certain dollar amount of food.
the food is definitely bar food: korean chicken, gizzards, udon, etc. check out the menu at the restaurant's  link here.
we ordered the korean chicken 1/2 and 1/2: plain fried chicken and asian seasoned chicken, spicy rice cakes, deep fried gizzards. the servings were very generous. Â my favorite was the plain fried chicken and the spicy rice cakes. the gizzards were cooked properly because they were smaller bits of gizzards so they were not overcooked like some large gizzards are overcooked.
make sure you dress for a very warm room. even for just 2 people, the room became quite warm after a while. they do not carry wine, western style wine that is. they have beer and soujou and some plum wine. but no worries, korean hite beer on tap is very tasty.
the songbook is fascinating. Â of course half of the book are korean songs. there are japanese songs i thought i knew. the on-screen words were in japanese so of course, i couldn't read them. they have a good selection of english songs ranging from frank sinatra to christmas music to led zeppelin (sing along to led zeppelin?) and pretty up-to-date songs. there are tamborines in the room to accompany the superb singing.
the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived at 6, but at 9 when we left, all the rooms were full with large groups haveing a swell time and the dining area was almost full.
it was great fun. will do it again and again, as well as order the fried chicken to go.
Holy karaoke!!! Â Wow! Â Tried this place out last week and it was a delight (especially if you have Korean friends). Â The song book is enormous and is filled with mostly Korean songs but there is a large section of English-speaking hits. Â Videos of K-pop play in the background while you are selecting songs. Â Loved the feature where you could add songs to the queue so you can load up as many as possible for your rental time. Â Room rates are affordable (about $20 an hour) and they seat several folks. Â We had 10+ in our party and the servers were VERY attentive, providing water and any drinks we required. Â We got the beer-towers and they were awesome! Â Lots of food was ordered but I only had the Kim-chi. Â The other food (hot wings, fried chicken, radish appetizers and veggies) looked and smelled awesome.
We stayed for a little over 3-hours and the bill was extremely affordable for the amount of time, food and booze that was consumed in the private room.
Even though there is a fan in the room, I advise dressing in layers as the rooms get a bit warm from all the folks in the (near) soundproof room.
You can really get your karaoke fix by not having to wait in the normal "bar" rotations. Â Go and sing your heart out with your pals at this fun little hideaway.
I kinda ended up here on a whim. I heard they do karaoke... I loves me some karaoke so I got my roommate to come check it out with me! The food was good. I had the BBQ broiled chicken and some awesome ass wings and some cheese corn thing that was surprisingly good considering I don't really like canned corn (I'm just assuming that the corn came out of a can)! What I enjoyed most about the food was that there was a simplicity about it that is kind of hard to find these days. The BBQ sauce on the chicken was light and not at all over powering the chicken. The wings were plain breaded chicken wings friend and covered in a sweet sauce. I'm pretty excited to try some of the other stuff.
Ok so I didn't get to karaoke that night but heres the scoop as of 08-27! Karaoking during happy hour (4pm to 9pm) is free if you order 20 bucks worth of food. During regular hours its 15 bucks if you order 20 bucks worth of food and 25 bucks if you don't! Thats a sweet deal considering the food is good and you would order food anyways! Oh and the rooms are pretty big too so yea... AWESOME!!
What a great place for Korean barbecue. Â I would recommend it. Â Only open after 5pm but that is perfect for this excellent place. Â Extremely friendly staff make for a nice experience. Â When the Korean community packs a place you know it's good. Â The Karaoke rooms are set up for fun but get there early to get one. Â Don't miss trying this place, you won't be disappointed.
Review Source:I showed up on May 5 for their grand opening. Â We went ... 10:30 or so? Â Afterthe movie. They stay open till 2am so worked out great. Being not Korean, and being about as ethnic as a saltine, I could tell right at the start that this place was probably good as I was the only saltine in the place. Â That's generally my rule - if you want some specific type of food or entertainment, go where that specific type of person is going. Â They know better than I do.
I was pretty impressed with the decor ... I like black, and the wrap around bench was a cool choice. Â I dont remember a ton about the evening. Â Fair warning, soju can sneak up on you. Â Especially when your friend isn't drinking their half!
I did not check out the karaoke rooms, although I had drank enough to meet my personal requirement for singing. Â The food was good. Â We had fried chicken ... it had good flavor, and the red sauce was tasty. Â My friend had the fish soup ... I dont even know what that stuff is other than that I dont like it, but she said it was good. I did try a sip of it and the broth was fine. I just dont like the fish balls. Â We also had some sort of corn / cheese thing in a skillet ... southwestern inspired I guess? Â It was good. Â I'm not sure what it was doing on the menu of a Korean restaurant, but I approve of it!
That seemed to be the theme. Â What we tried tasted good. Â And so did the mango soju. Â And the price was more than decent. Â I think it was $13 for a pitcher, which works out to about 4 glasses worth. Â So for less than $30 I was having an *outstanding* time. Â I've been to stupid clubs all over the city and bought $7 and $8 drinks that had the alcohol content of orange juice. Â This was so much better a use of $30 that it can barely be compared with a straight face. Â The good thing about soju is that it comes in a bottle so the serving size is standard. Â They can't short you like they do in a regular bar with a mixed drink. Â In fact, my last Yelp post was slamming some dumb place in Bellevue for selling me an $8 whiskey drink (very distinctive flavor whiskey has) that clearly did not have a single drop of whiskey in it.
So if you're normally resistant to kareoke, give this place a try. Â All it takes is 2 pitchers of mango soju and you will be MORE than ready to sing. Â Or do anything else. Â Trust me.
Overall I was pretty impressed for a brand new restaurant to be hitting on all cylinders only a few days into being in business. Â We will be going back.
