The Station - A Bistro & Lounge

WORST restaurant I've ever been to!! If I could give it zero stars, I would. The minute my husband and I walked in, we were made to feel unwelcome. We were not greeted by anyone. After a minute or two of wandering around, we walked up to a bartender and asked him where we should sit. He told us to "sit anywhere".    

After sitting down at a table we noticed how disgustingly dirty the restaurant was: gum and candy on the carpet, straw wrappers on the floor and the tables weren't cleaned off whatsoever. After 10 minutes, our server came up to us and handed us a piece of paper with ONLY three different food items on it. This contradicted the menu that is posted online that offered a good variety of dinner food. Since we were starving, we decided to stay anyway on the off chance the food was decent. After waiting over 35 minutes, our fries, quesadilla and chicken tacos finally arrived (by the way, we were one of only three occupied tables in the entire place). What we got, was not what we bargained for. The chicken quesadilla came with no sour cream, guacamole, garnish or anything. The fries were overly salty and the chicken tacos were dry as a bone. They didn't have salsa, taco sauce or anything on them.

After we were done with our meal (if you can even call it that), we got our bill (after waiting another 10+ minutes). After reviewing the bill, we realized that our server charged us an automatic 18% gratuity. RIDICULOUS! After the horrible food and service, there was no way we were paying 18%! That was the final straw. I found our server and confronted him asking why we were automatically charged an 18% tip and why we had not been notified ahead of time of their gratuity policy. After he conceded, he  proceeded to begrudgingly remove the gratuity charge. What a fricken shyster!! We will NEVER go back to this place again!!! Beware! Stay away. You will regret it!

I went on a Saturday when they had the free salsa dancing lessons. I didn't realize it was an intermediate class so it was too fast paced.

The food was just overpriced and not that flavorful, and the drinks were weak.

They only played salsa music the rest of the night, and that's fine..but I was over it pretty quickly. Creepy dude sat down at my table and make too much awkward small talk, but that's not the bar's fault :)

Meh, probably wouldn't venture out there again. Maybe if I lived closer?

Saturday salsa dancing is the BOMB!!! Drink specials of $5 too...I would of drank more, except I had to drive myself home (poopy).  

This is my favorite place to salsa dance and I hear that poopy Roseville is trying to make salsa dancing go away.  WTF?!?  Salsa dancers are awesome people.  We are not rowdy-out-of-control-drunk folks who break stuff and get loud outside.  We come to DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!!!

Please, please, please don't let Wednesday and Saturday salsa disappear from the Station.
