I will start with a positive, the mini chicken quesadillas were good. However, the enchilada was covered with spaghetti sauce (!) and the ground beef was flavorless. The beans were bad in a way I can't define, and the shrimp were terrible considering it's an island and there is plentiful great seafood everywhere. Very disappointed.
Review Source:In fairness they just opened, supposedly with new owners, but judging from our first visit (and Yelp reviews from the previous two Mexican establishments at the same address) this is not a place you'll likely want to visit. Â So they're new and have their opening issues, but there was a long list of them. Â
No liquor license yet. Â No margaritas or coronas? Strike 1. Â
Slow and not very helpful service, and lack of decor (with a very large odd empty breakfast buffet (in a Mexican restaurant?))? Maybe let that slide. Â
Chips and salsa. Â Never experienced this anywhere else before, but half their chips were soggy. Â Very strange because half were fine, but half you'd bite into and it wouldn't crisp, just soggily fall apart. Â Strike 2.
Prices were reasonable, so maybe a high point there.
Ordered three tacos. Â The ground beef was ok, but the beans were no good. Â Strike 3.
If they really are new owners and just getting off the ground then they might need some time to work out the kinks, but for now can't recommend wasting a meal of your time on the island at Su Salsa.
