Sunset is right around the corner from whete we live. My boyfriend's parents go there once in a while and said it was a nice place, so we decided to check it out. We went with 4 other people, we got there around 630 or so. They were pretty busy when we first got there. We ordered some drinks and appetizers while we were waiting for the rest of the group to get there. We ordered chips and salsa, and queso. The salsa was really thin and watery and didn't taste very good, the queso was ok for tasting like it came out of a jar. Once the rest of group got there we ordered dinner. The menu is basic bar food, burgers and sandwiches. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, it was pretty good, my fries had just the right amount of seasoning and were really crispy. My boyfriend got a burger and he seemed to really enjoy it. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food as well. They do karaoke on Friday and Saturday, Â so we decided to stay and check it out. After the Royal's game was over the place cleared out, it was pretty much empty other than us and another group. We were hoping that when the karaoke started it would pick back up. But it didn't. The karaoke wasn't playing very good music and the only person singing was an older lady that kept signing old country songs. After the bar died down our waitress would disappear for long periods of time and we had to hunt her down or go to the bar to get our drinks. Their mixed drinks weren't that great I ordered a margarita, it tasted like the premixed stuff you can buy at the liquor store. So I just stuck to the basics. We didn't stick around too long after the karaoke started. So if your looking for excitement this may not be the place to go. They have good food though, we might be back to eat but probably won't stick around for anything else.
