This place sucks. We got our ticket on line. Will call line was so long.  Service is bad, feels like the people working there need to go back to the sixties. Improv at Zona Rosa is 10 times better.

The hubby won free tickets, so off we went to the wilds of KCK to get funnied up. One of the first things I noticed is that this place was not handicap accessible the night we went, not that we're handicapped, but it sucks that both the escalator and elevator were not functioning. On the way out, we saw some poor woman having a lot of trouble negotiating the stairs.

Once you get to Stanford and Son's, they make everyone wait and wait and wait to get in. Not so bad if you're one of the sardines crammed into their lobby to wait, but kinda crummy if you're standing outside in the cold.

Once we finally made it inside, we were told to sit in what looked like re-purposed theater seats complete with cup holders. The seats were actually fairly comfortable, but the seating really isn't tiered, so it's easier to see the backs of the heads of the people in front of you than the comedian on the stage. The worst part? Icky sticky yucky floors. Get a mop, people!

You're required to order at least one item. There are signs everywhere that say so. Glad they have Boulevard on tap. Also got hummus and it was eh. It was served with cold pita slices and tortilla chips. The food menu is incredibly limited. Do yourself a favor and just don't bother.

The headliner comedian was pretty funny, but it was hard to focus on the show with the waitresses wandering back and forth and all the straining and craning of the necks to see anything.

It's rare that I'll go out to the Legends area so I can't say that I'm that familiar with it.  Recently, I had a bunch of free tickets to go see a comedian here and had a chance to check it out.

The first thing I can say is there is a definite lack of space for how many people this place sits. There is a bar outside with one bartender and also a bar inside with one bartender.  It's shoulder to shoulder when waiting to enter the theater since the waiting/bar area is tiny.  Also, if you want a drink it's probably best to wait till you're seated since it's not easy to maneuver through all the people to the bar.

The theater is small, but  nice.  There are different tiers of seating, but really not a bad spot in the house.  Waitresses come frequently and the night we were there you could make your mixed drink a double for an extra dollar.  We were seated in the back and it was a bit hard to hear some of the comics, maybe just a simple adjustment of the mic or speakers.

Good spot, just wish it was bigger!
