They got pizza next door. PIE. GOOD STUFF.

Let's get a couple disclosures out of the way: 1. The owners are very dear friends of mine, and 2. I love dive bars.

Still, I don't know how you couldn't love a place like this. This is the premiere place in Shawnee to watch a game, grab a cheap drink, shoot the shit or argue with somebody on a weekday night, or get totally rowdy on a weekend night. Sure, it's in Shawnee, but it's a couple minutes from I-35, so it's easy to get to.

They pour cheap, stiff drinks and have amazing specials every night of the week. There is usually good music playing when Evan commandeers the juke box. This place probably has more bar games than anywhere in the city: pool, darts, Golden Tee, Silver Strike, shuffleboard, touch screen and an ever changing rotation of other things like pop-a-shot, Bags, and the game where you punch something really hard. Johnny's C pizza has better St. Louis-style pizza than any place in St. Louis and you can order it straight from the bar. The chili (available seasonally), super skinny onion rings, and Italian sausage/hamburger melt (Sabago) are also excellent.

The regulars here are like a family but everyone is welcome. Evan and Andrew will remember your name and make you feel welcome.
