Mac's Sports Pub

Discovered this Johnson county lunchtime gem a few months ago when we decided a drink or two at lunch is a good thing - the ridiculous price of  75 cent well drinks.  The food is actually pretty tasty too.  They have a bunch of daily $5.55 specials - and a daily special also - like meatloaf (not like your mothers).  Salads are also fabulous and very fresh. Service is friendly and the place is clean.  Give them a try - not many places 4 people can have lunch and a couple rounds of drinks for $35!

So far, a winner. $.75 wells in Thursdays, and they're perfectly tolerable well drinks. $5 big burgers to pad those drinks. A KU crowd during basketball season. Lots of seating, complete with decently sized patio.

We recently relocated to Overland Park from across the state line & Mac's has quickly become a favorite spot for a bite out.

The interior is very clean, service is friendly & fast. Jury is still out on the quality of the  cocktails, but you WILL NOT find a better deal on the biggest mug of beer than here at Mac's.  My husband is a traditional bar food guy & I try to eat healthier (unless I'm watching my fav football team). There is a really good selection for both of us & we've had great food everytime we've gone. Their wings pack just the right amount of heat, but I would say they don't need to be so stingy with the drumettes.  Salads are as fresh as I've ever had at a restaurant so no complaints there.

Good mix of age ranges & career backgrounds (judging from the jeans vs khaki/button down shirts) - pleasant atmosphere & friendly patrons.

I'm intrigued by the DJ booth in a sports bar, so I'll be back to test out what the weekend/late nights are like.  Cheers!
