Border Wars

Wow, waited forever...then they were out of bottled beer for my order (domestic common brand)...then waited forever for apetizers (about 45 minutes) then again long wait for the bill....awful service, I mean its worth going just to make you appreciate every other bar more in the future.

This place is now under new management. If you have been here in the past, give it a try again. The owners are always there and are very hands on. Service is the biggest difference I've noticed. It is SOOOO much better. The sign currently still says Border Wars, but it will soon be changed to HUMPY'S. I encourage you to stop in and get the wings.

As happens so often, the overall rating can drop quickly.

There is one waitress/bartender that makes a great margarita.  The ONE I had when she wasn't there was the WORST one I've ever had.  

My food last time was poor; I tasted someone else's fries and they were delicious.  The batch I received was horrible.  I think that they were reheated/re-fried french fries.

Wonder why the bar might be empty? Other than the food and drinks of recent, it's a sports bar, and in the middle of college/Big 12 basketball season, with no less than 3 big games being broadcast.... the TVs were set to the 'music channel'....not videos, just music from the TV station.  When the jukebox is on, it's so loud you have to scream across the table to be heard.  

:(  Athena and Heather do a good job of serving/pouring drinks....They are the reason the bar is getting more than 1 star.
