This is unfortunate because I want neighborhood places to succeed.  But they gotta figure out how to cook food here.  Kind of important in the restaurant biz. Blood raw is not medium rare.  The burger my fellow diner had was so undercooked you could see pink on the outside of the burger.  It was literally gushing blood. I had the salmon sandwich.  I bit into it and noticed it was very cool so I thought I may have bitten into a part where the salmon had fallen onto the plate.  I then took another bite and after chewing thoroughly, realized I was chewing cool, still raw fish.  Now I like sushi, but at a sushi restaurant where the raw salmon is top grade.  Not at a burger place where fish needs to be cooked for a reason.  Highly disturbing experience and unacceptable. The staff remade the food, but the damage was done.  The cooks need to up their standards ASAP.  "Make it nice, or make it twice" is not just a silly phrase. Please do better.  Notably, the regular fries and sweet potato fries were quite good.

I was surprised when I read the other review on here. My family had a great experience at Burg & Barrel - and we're excited to go back. Our food was awesome and so was the service.

As soon as I heard a new beer and burger joint had popped up in the OP area, I knew I needed to get out to try it.  My first mistake was to show up at on a Saturday during the Big 12 tournament - the place was packed, so we decided to save it for another day.  We went on Sunday for lunch instead and had no problem getting a spot.  First impressions of this place are that it is tiny...definitely not a place that has a lot of extra space.  The food menu seems to have the average amount of bar food items - but it was the beer menu that was most disappointing.  I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with cajun fries.

    Positives:
-Decent food, but really nothing that stands out.

    Negatives:
-For a place that seems to push the idea it's a craft brew and burger place, the beer menu is pretty disappointing and rather spendy.
-Small interior, with a limited amount of seating.
-A little tough to find, it's kind of tucked back on 76th St.
-"Cajun" fries were utterly forgettable and weirdly tasteless

Overall, this was a disappointing trip.  The food shows promise, but they really need to mix up their menu a bit to distinguish themselves from many of the other beer and burger places in town.  And please, expand your craft beer selections.  Having multiple Boulevard brews on tap doesn't make you a "craft brew" bar.  That's not a knock on Boulevard, but most of their beers are available at every bar/restaurant in the metro.
