I came on a night where there was a festival and fair going on a couple blocks down. Â They had one server on staff, and I believe that server was also cooking. Â The food was bland, and since the waitress apologized for getting slammed with customers that night, they were out of many items on the menu. Â She then proceeded to take our orders, and then the wait ensued.
Around 45 minutes later, our food came out. Â Many of our orders were messed up, and some of us received dishes that we did not order. Â The waitress then explained she was out of what we ordered, so the chef just created something else to give us. Â That's fine with me, just letting you know if case you're not cool with that.
I'd say that I would go back when they are less busy, but seeing how the food was very bland without flavor (not just my dish, but everyone else's too), I sadly will not return to dine.
However, this seems like a great place to kick back and enjoy a pint of whatever beer they have on tap. Â Hopefully they can get their act together.
Was very sad to see Kelly's go. Â Most bars/restaurants left in Peekskill are pricey and pretentious. Â Sue's is a breath of fresh air. Â The food is great- fast and fresh- even when Sue is the only bartender AND chef. Â Love that this bar attracts a variety of clientele. Â Good selection of beer, good prices.
