The decor here is wretched...just awful. There are big posters (as tall as I am) tacked onto the wall with packing tape advertising that they serve Barefoot wines and...Budweiser? They actually have cheap beer/wine specials a couple nights a week. I guess if you want to get drunk while eating Indian food this is your spot!

We stopped here on our way from Greenwood to Avon. It's on Rockville Rd outside of 465. While I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, the selection on the buffet was pretty impressive. The goat curry was REALLY good...very tender goat (maybe it was lamb?) and it was mostly meat, not mostly bones like most places serve. The paneer tikka masala tasted much more like spicy tomato soup than it usually does, but it wasn't bad. I liked the saag paneer just fine. Dal was a little undercooked...lentils too firm. The chicken dishes were a touch above average...I can't put my finger on why, but I suspect it's because they used thighs and breasts, not just boneless-skinless breasts. The kheer was very plain...just sweet cream with rice, no seasonings. They do ask what kind of naan you want (garlic or plain) BUT if it's someone's first time, the hostess lady (kind of redneck seeming) doesn't bother explaining that naan is flat bread, she will just repeat the question 2-3 times until you answer. A carafe of water is brought out to your table so you don't have to wait on refills. The soda is only in cans. I like this because it discourages people from sucking down 600 calories worth of pop with their meal. The hostess/waitress didn't seem all that knowledgeable about the food, but she seemed friendly and made sure to check back on all the tables several times and clear away the dishes. An Indian lady (maybe owner?) came out from the kitchen and was lurking around the bar/register area, but she didn't interact with any customers or smile at all.

I like owners who interact with their customers, who are welcoming and proud of the food they're serving. If Tandoori King gets it together with the decor and customer relations, I might bump the rating up.

Went for lunch with my wife. Server greeted us promptly and was very nice. The food was absolutely wonderful. Spice was plentiful but not to much. Everything was fresh, full of flavor. Best in town so far.

Cheap cafeteria atmosphere with a tatted up pill of a waitress who is not nice to coupon users.  Stingy on the naan also, she looked at us like we were idiots asking for 1 more naan. We had only one to bring with for 2 people.  Plus, this food is too watered down and nut authentic Indian. It's American-ized Indian food and I prefer a better palate of fresh spices.

Needless to say, we will nut be going back again. I will stick to INDIA SIZZLING on Allisonville Rd instead. Further drive for me, but much more satisfying with better decor & ambiance!
