Quite a selection of beer and friendly service.  The place has charm, too.   I would've given this place 4 stars, but the beer wasn't cold enough.  When a beer isn't served cold, it makes me wonder if they have issues with their equipment, lines, etc.

First beer selection was not available, even though on the chalkboard.

Beef stew was tasty and the beef cooked to tenderness.

I went with my friend Robert after work and im not big on bars in general, but i had a great time. I had 3 different types of beer and some bomb nachos.

Great bar and excellent service. Everything I had tasted great.

Wandered in on an early Saturday evening.  Lots of beers on tap as well as bottled.  I'm always on the lookout for good Irish and British offerings on tap having developed a taste for "real ale" during a few years living in England.  Disappointed on that count but the local brews were nice compensation.  I had an amber ale and a porter which were both excellent.  They did have a good amount of bottled beers from the British Isles but that's not the same is it?  They did have the usual Guinness and Bass as well as Smithwicks - one of my favourites.  Lots of IPAs which apparently are fashionable these days though I don't care for them.  Nothing on the menu was interesting so I settled for nachos which were plentiful but average.  4 stars for beer since that's the reason for coming here.

a small jaunt across the Midwest landed me in the sweet venue of Oklahoma City. The blazing heat called for only one thing to make life more bearable, Beer. Cold beer and plenty of it. This desire was almost fulfilled TapWerks Ale House. I only say almost because two of the beers I ordered were empty, and one of those was the glorious PBR! This joint has roughly 106 beers on tap and bout another 100 in bottles. A beer drinkers haven. It is nestled down in Bricktown in an old building that displays a style from the '30's or so. The staff were all very nice and Kelli took care of us. The drink special was a Blaunche De Bruxelle .33 cl for $6. It is a special because when you gt it they gave us a glass as as the souvenir. The beer was good but the burger..... let's say show stopper!!!! The Western Ranch Burger is a glorious 1/2 lb organic beef patty topped with sliced ham, cheddar, fried onion strings, lettuce, tomato, onion, BBQ sauce, and ranch (The ham made it rock) for $8.99. I couldn't believe how tasty this combo was!
    Burger- ****.75
    Price- ****
    Service- ****
    Overall- ****.2
The only thing that could have aided this burger to total dominance of perfection would have been guacamole or a fried egg. As far as the burger goes one couldn't ask for a better blend of slop and taste! If you're ever in the neat little bur rough of Bricktown OKC, you're doing yourself a disservice by not enjoying a burger of that magnitude

What can I say about the place that sold me my first legal alcoholic drink AND my first favorite beer?

I went in hating beer, but for years and years, people continue to drink beer - so there must be something about it. I asked the waitress what she suggested, and she proceeded to ask me some questions to find out what ways she should direct me. She even cut out the jargon so that I would know how to answer. She was friendly and patient, and on top of that the first 3 she let me sample were all wonderful! I remember the taste like it was last night - Lindeman's Framboise.

I didn't have anything to eat, and because of the reviews, I don't think I will; but they have a wonderful selection of beers. They can make you a mixed drink, but, people, remember that this is a restaurant that is primarily called Tapwerks. Tap as in the beer they serve comes out of a Tap.

I was in OKC for work and I love when I find a place with a variety of good beers on tap. This place exceeds that with 200+ beers, they consistanty rotate which allows newer brews to be tried. The bartenders know their beer which is a big plus to me. Another great factor is they promote Oklahoma Craft Beer. A lot of the beers available I've had other places but I love when I can experience LOCAL beer.

While it's true that the beer selection is impressive and the prices are decent, I've had some issues with the beer itself. With that collection of beer on tap, I'm not certain how much volume they move on certain types of styles or the care they take with the draft lines. I've had a couple beers there that just seemed "off"compared to when I've had them from other bars or enjoyed at home.

Now, on the bright side, the food is pretty great. Plus, they have pub trivia on Tuesdays. I'd stick to recently tapped/higher turnover brews (usually can't go wrong with the local Oklahoma beers) on tap. Also the bottle selection is amazing and they do have most anything you can find in Oklahoma!

Ok, It's hard for me to give out the 5 stars....but I love love this place.  Is it because I worked here for over a year? Maybe, however years later I'm still recommending it for beer selection. Now that's a sure sign it's worth a try.

100 Beers on tap plus another 150+ in bottle.  The managers really know beer from USA and all over the world.  Got a question? All staff members are beer educated. That's very important.  Now they don't brew beer, they sell beer.  They host beer release parties from local / state brews.  They do have a full bar, but don't expect any fancy mixed drinks, keep it simple.

The food menu has made some changes over the years.  (Now this is where I should mention that I am not and will never claim to be a food snob, I'm rather easy to please.) With that said, I have never had an issue with any item, but it was also never the highlight of my visit.

On the weekends it's the "go outer" and the "just turned 21" crowd, so be aware.  The live music on the second floor can be hit or miss, don't blame Tapwerks they don't book the music a local agent does all the booking for the Bricktown area. It can also get rather loud and silly, but what else would you expect on the weekend? Oh yeah, there will be a cover even if you stay downstairs.

Weeknights are where it's at.  You can hangout and enjoy good beer without dealing with the amateur crowd.

    Mini Profile:
    Age Range - Weekdays - 30+   Weeknights - 21-30
    (before 9pm - all ages)
    Dress - casual, relaxed
    Money - $$
People you'll see - business owners / conferences, young adult VIPs

This is a place to enjoy a good beer! If that's not your thing, don't come here.

What an awesome place to come for beer! They have over 200 beers on tap, so it is THE place to go for a craft or micro brew. They carry all of the local Oklahoma beers, including special releases. Tapwerks is active in the Oklahoma brewing scene and often hosts beer release parties, home brew festival, and their upcoming craft beer festival on May 18. Every Thursday is pint night where they future a brewery with a matching pint night; pay for the beer, keep the glass.
The food at Tapwerks is decent. I always find myself surprised by how good it is. It isn't crappy bar food, but not as gourmet as Gastrpub food. They have half priced appetizers Mon-Fri 4-7 and during all Thunder games. I personally like their chicken wings and artichoke dip. I think the fish and chips are very tasty, the batter is light and crispy. Sometimes they offer beer pairing menus to go with a special beer they are featuring for the evening.
The service is alright. Nothing great, and it typically is more surprising to me that we get a cheerful and helpful waitress than not. Sometimes I wonder, just based on my observations, if it is because I am not a man. Regardless, they bring me food and beer which makes me happy. I appreciate that they educate their staff on beer styles, so they are able to explain tastes and characteristics if asked.
I LOVE that Tapwerks is open 365 days a year. As someone who doesn't celebrate holidays, I am grateful to be able to hang out with friends and grab a beer when everything else is closed.
Normally I would give this place 3 stars, but I bumped it up one because of their expansive beer selection and support of local beer.
Are there other pubs in OKC? Yes. But if you are a serious craft beer lover, Tapwerks is hands down the best place to go.

Stopped by for supper before the hockey game, first good news is that they just recently added Goose Island IPA.  As a transplant from Chicago to Dallas getting one of my favorite Chicago breweries beer is a special treat.

The place was relatively busy since the Final Four game was on (Louisville vs Wichita State) but we got a table near the TV and started with an appetizer.  You have got to try the Artichoke dip.  It was one of the better ones we have had.   The rest of the food was standard pub food (wrap, Burger and fish and chips).  I liked my fish and chips especially that they were thick pieces of fish and held their flavor well, though the breading was blah plain with very little flavor.

The beer selection was great and the service was good just add some salt and pepper to the breading.

I bet when you think "Tapwerks," you're thinking "Is this the sort of place I would go for a business lunch before noon on a workday?"  What's that?  No?  All right, try someone else then.

I did visit Tapwerks for such an occasion, and I'd have to characterize it as mediocre.  I tried the daily special of Jambalaya, and while it was perfectly edible, the celery ratio was way off.  It had celery everywhere ... it had as much celery as the Napoli pizza at the Wedge has arugula.  So it was a little bizarre, but not bad.

The menu indicated quite clearly that there was an automatic 18% tip applied to large parties like ours, so naturally they charged an automatic 20% tip to everyone.  Not that it's a pet peeve of mine that I've been debating about even bothering to mention before I just couldn't take it anymore and am bringing it up now.

So with my 11:30 am visit, I'm probably not a representative patron of the place, but I went there looking for lunch, they served me lunch, and that was that.

Im in between 2-3 stars here because of the experience we had. We went during a Thunder game on a Friday night...we had to pay a $5 cover to see the band that played upstairs in the smoking section even though we had no intention of going up there and sitting in cigarette smoke. Not cool. It was pretty packed and luckily we got a table for our large group (10). Our waitress was nice but seemed to have an issue walking around the table to get drink orders. She just stood at one end of the table and we had to shout them to her. I ordered a Miller Light for $2 during the Thunder game...hey anything to save a buck. They do have a HUGE selection of beers on tap and in bottles. They dont have any Abita beer which I really like.

So everything was alright until we got the check..When I looked at my check I noticed that she had charged me full price for my Miller Light. When I asked her about why I wasnt charged the Thunder special price, she told me that I did not order the beer during the game. Well I most certainly did. I told her that and she just repeated, No you got it after the game was over. Seriously going to argue with a customer??? She wouldnt give up and I wouldnt either. It took me saying, send your manager over so I can get my check right that she finally said she would fix it. WOW. It was only $1 difference but it was the principal. That was WHY I ordered that beer...because it was the special. It was really off-putting to have her act like that.

We paid for parking, we paid to get in to see a band in the smoking section that we didnt see and the waitress argued with me...luckily I still had a good time because of beer and friends but it certainly wasn't because of the place.

Tapwerks Ale House is all about one word, BEER. It has one of the largest  (if not THE largest) selections of on tap beer selections I have seen. It reminds me very much of a chain of restaurants in the California area called Yard House which has various beer selections on tap. The beer selections at Tapwerks pretty much gives anything you want, Domestic, Imported, Light, Ale, Heffeweisen, Stout... its all here!

It is a very old building in inside and I wanna say it has been around for quite sometime, I am no historian of OKC history but I wanna say it's been around since it's inception, the creeks in the wooden floors and brick and mortar exterior is a good giveaway of it's age.

Now the bummer news... there IS a cover charge when live musical acts are going on. Having come from Los Angeles and gone to Hollywood many times in my youth I normally do not fret over cover charges and accept that it is part of the "bar scene", HOWEVER I find this acceptable if it is a musical act with their own material, I once went to Tapwerks and was charged $5 cover charge and when I went up to the top floor I was disappointed to hear all the band was playing was cover songs!

Speaking of the upstairs there is also a wide range of beer selections up on the top floor as well and I believe is nearly identical to the one at the bottom, there are a couple pool tables and darts area to play, the stage for the musical acts is on the top floor by the pool tables

Bottom line... I would recommend Tapwerks for a good brew, but I wouldn't recommend it for the musical acts

Food is decent, beer options plentiful (and that is why you should come in here), staff knowledgeable on the choices (a bonus).

Older building with some ambiance.  Don't come in here and order a Bud-light - this is obviously not your kind of place and you will be disappointed.  Don't come here looking for the "pretty people" - they are up at Republic (better food, smaller tap selection)

I only come here on the weekdays and it's very slow, YMMV on the weekends.

I was excited to try this place because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. As soon as I stepped through the door, there was a $5 cover charge. I didn't know that on weekends they charge you a cover because of the band playing upstairs. I HATE IT when businesses charge you money just to get pass their front door! I didn't ask to hear some local band. I just wanted to try your food and check out your alcohol collection! Especially when I just paid $5 to park in Bricktown! When we went upstairs, the band wasn't even up there so I don't know why they were still charging a cover. That's pretty messed up.

My friend and I arrived at 11:50pm and didn't know that the kitchen closed at midnight so we had to quickly place our order. Word of advice to everyone: do not order food when the cooks are ready to close up because my order tasted like crap! I got the crispy chicken wrap that came with fries. The wrap had absolutely no flavor. I had to dip it in ketchup to even finish one wrap. My fries tasted like they dumped a whole container of salt on it.

I liked that our waitress provided good service and they have a huge selection of beer (bottles and tap) and cocktails. The first floor was smoke free which I appreciated and the other floors had their own bar.

I've been to TapWerks several times. Always just to grab a drink but the most recent experience was for drinks as well as dinner.

We had a party of 20 or so and they wouldn't take reservations. I get it - it was a Saturday night - but frustrating for us because we didn't want everyone to have to wait (it was for my birthday). So my husband and I showed up an hour early and fortunately they let us claim our table but did warn us that if our party didn't start showing up or if they needed the table they would take it from us. I was a little bit worried but the staff was friendly and accommodating and once members of our party started to arrive the service got even better. Luckily we didn't have to move tables.

The appetizers are pretty tasty and even though they were busy, we got the rest of our food fairly quickly. Drinks are delicious! So many choices and luckily they have a menu that explains what things are for people that may not know :)

I like the atmosphere - it's laid back and chill. Oh, and it's no smoking (at least down stairs) which is a bonus for me. Located in the middle of Bricktown, TapWerks is a short walk to many attractions and the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

I have been here several times and each time is different. Seemingly lack consistency. Sometimes it is great and others not so much. I usually stop in before a Thunder game. It is a good place to set back relax and have a cold one. The food for the most part seems to be heavy bar food and even thought I love the Monte Cristo sandwich I only ever eat half....and then I still feel like a million pounds afterward. Overall the food is O.K. The beer is O.K. The Service is O.K. and the atmosphere is better than average. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here but if it is on the way then why not grab a cold one.

I got very good service from a very sweet server named Kourtney.  They had a great beer selection.  The food menu could be spruced up a bit - it's standard pub fare.  But the food was decent overall.  A mellow place, and a good place to watch a game.

Cool gastropub in the trendy Bricktown district of OKC. I went here for a late dinner, because it was late and no other place in Bricktown was still serving food. There was a stupid cover charge - I guess since it was Saturday night and they have live bands, although I didn't see or hear any live music.

They have lots of different kinds of beer on tap - craft, imported, etc. There is a bar and also tables/booths. It has kind of an Irish Pub vibe. The staff are all really cool and friendly. I got a gigantic burger. The menu was rather predictable, and they have a build-your-own-burger. I decked it out with an extra patty, guacamole, provolone, and all the usual toppings. It comes with fries too. It was great - almost too much food for me! I ate my burger and I drank a Belgian beer. It was an enjoyable experience. I had a good time here and I'll come back next time I'm in OKC.

I have to give this place another shot because my first experience was rather lack luster. I was visiting OK during the holidays and my boyfriend wanted to go out with his brother for drinks. He suggested Tapwerks and it was pretty lively for a weekday night!! Right when we walked in I hear an older gentleman in the corner call out in his Oklahoman accent, "HEY! It's a CHINESE girl!" I had to contain myself from bursting into laughter....
Anyhow, we walked to the back of the bar and occupied a tall wooden booth. A waitress came by and took our order. I was thoroughly impressed with the beer selections, but ordered myself the usual- Stella because I wasn't feeling adventurous. Big mistake Joy! I don't know if the tap was old or what, but the beer just tasted funny! After a few chuckles with the group, the man up at the front came wobbling by us to use the restroom and stared me down. I'm not offended by this at all because well, it was my first experience in Bricktown and I'll forever have this funny story to tell people :)

They're not hiding: Tapwerks, perched in the Bricktown enclave of OKC, flings its doors open wide to prospective beer lovers, Given the state's recognized historically angled puritanical take on how beer is sold or distributed, it can be argued that finding any sort of beery oasis is not the sort of moment to be taken lightly. Alas, the reality of the matter is that these folks, like many other beer nerds the world round, put their proverbial (and no doubt literal) trousers on one leg at a time just like the rest of us, and even given the slow hover of the state umbrella, manage to shine nevertheless.

It's clearly not an Olympic caliber beer fan's arrangement, but what they do they do well, and they seem to have a pretty firm handle on who they are, namely, a comfy neighborhood beer joint in a rather touristy enclave of town that just happens to pack a Fort Knox take on brews. And no, I didn't find every single taste I wanted here. But I found plenty that made me consider more. And the staff I rattled with inane questions I found both sane and knowledgeable. That'll keep ya thirsty.

My advice? Pop by on a slowish night when you can settle in for awhile and soak it in. Let it get under your skin a little. 'Cause that happens.

Server Krystal was friendly, and offered good entree suggestions, thanks :) Food was good, service was good.

Pretty seedy joint. Not too busy for a short lunch. Won't come here for a romantic evening with the wife, but will definitely come back again for lunch. Looks like a great joint for having some beers (huge selection on tap) and dinner with the boys.

Smells like old ciggy smoke, bathroom reminds me of LA area clubs. This is probably the least appealing feature.

    Here's the quick and dirty:
    1) lots of good beer!
    2) beers are short poured about 2oz to ensure their is a good head. Unfortunately, I don't need that for a coors light or most other beers. Besides, like most restaurants, the sanitizing solution used actually makes the head dissipate rather quickly. 14oz "pints" that are really about 11 or 12oz. The pour more of an excuse to save a dime then to provide quality drafts.
    3) ordered a burger based on the bartenders recommendation. Not impressed. Big but the meat was bland and was barley seasoned at all. Fries came out luke warm and soggy.
    4) bouncers were nice enough to let me in without the 5.00 cover because I wanted to eat dinner.
    5) I'm only here for the week won't be back.
    6) Oh yeah, staff was decent. The black gentleman behind the bar was cordial and the gal was as well for a saturday night.

$5 a piece to get in. For what, you say?  Well , I'll tell you why... To have a drunk waitress totally screw our order up. Spill water all over the table and run into the booth behind us every single time she turned around.

She walked by us once to check on us and kept walking, didn't even give us time to answer her question. We will NEVER go back and will try our best to keep others away.

I was extremely excited about dropping into a local watering hole that offers an amazing amount of craft beer. It normally doesn't fail that when you find the aforementioned attributes in a city's booze institution, you will have found the gold mine of all that is awesome in the world of alcohol.

Well, for starters, the layout of the joint was terrible. The individuals wandering in here have to play a little Army while weaving their way around people, immovable objects, and servers dancing left and right. Oh, and the service was terrible... never got my water.

Consistency-wise, the advertised a 6PM opening call for the Marshall Arrowhead Pale Ale. At 6PM, there were no more souvy glasses. The link said that Marshall would be there to hand out stuff. Hogwash.

Additionally, beer here is expensive. Yes, Bricktown has the means to do this to many a person visiting for a quick pint, but with bad service, I could care less to return. What does it have going for it--assuming you note my 2 stars? Good location.

First off..this place has a ton of beers..don't like beer? Alcohol or ciders are avil also.

second the staff that wears a beer snob shirt..is a server not a waitress. Everyone here knows a ton about beer..way more than your average joe. Knowledge for your server doesn't end at training. The food is good too. The queso is made with Velveeta cheese..and well as the nachos..if you don't like beer try a lambic plus this place is open till 2 am every day..huge TVs and they serve food till midnight.on game days and the weekend.

I only give this place two stars because the food is good pub food, and they do carry bottled beer.

Now why I'd give a place said to be run by "beer snobs"  only two stars.
It is awesome that they have a huge selection of beers on tap and by the bottle (most on tap).  As a beer lover "snob" myself I find it UNBELIEVABLE that on my numerous visits over the years I have drank tap beer from a dank(not in the good way) tainted, dirty, beer line.  It is easy to distinguish, when every beer from a Pilsner or a crisp Lager to a dark ale or Porter has a very similar flavor, that is old dirty lines.
I will even be more specific, there is an earthen/fungi flavor to ALL of the tap beers.
I have been here well over a dozen times over the past 5 years or so, each time with the hopes that the management has seen the light, and gotten the lines cleaned, or replaced.

Servers do claim to be beer snobs, but I would agree that they are snobbish, but nothing would really differentiate their knowledge of beer over any average frat boy.

I hope that everyone who reads this has a different experience than my numerous ones.  I hope that the lines will be cleaned soon, and I can write an update to this review in the near future giving it 4-5 stars for its delicious and bountiful tap beer selection.

I've been to Tapwerks a few times and there are several things I like about them. They have Guiness on tap. That in of itself is a great and wonderful thing. Not only do they have Guiness on tap, but most bartenders know how to pour the Guiness. There is a certain skill involved so you don't get a beer that is still half-foam rolling all over itself. Not only that, but I've even got the requisite shamrock swirl on the top of my Guiness when I've ordered it. Needless to say I am impressed.

Tapwerks is not handicap-accessible yet. My friend in a wheelchair has to sometimes depend on the kindness of strangers if he wants to go to the second floor. That is definitely something that I wish they would reconcile soon. Another plus for Tapwerks is you do have your choice of smoking or non-smoking. Wonderful I love it! All and all a great place to go and hang out to catch up on old times.

On our last night in Oklahoma City, my coworkers and I came here and it just so happened to be the day the Oklahoma City Thunder was playing in the playoffs.  It was busy and we sat at a table booth for the 8 of us.  We were forgotten about at first and the first person who gave us menus just kind of threw them at our respective seat's location in the booth.  It was the beer menu and I've never seen so many beer selections on one menu.  Did I mention it was double-sided?

They had 212 taps and over 100 bottled beers here.  I asked my coworker what I should order and he told me that since I'm a Guinness-drinker that I should order the Black & Tan ($5.50).  It was Guinness and Bass which ended up being pretty good.  I also ordered Nachos ($8.99) to munch on while I watched the basketball game.  It was on their late night food menu and it was Sunday-Thursday from 10pm to midnight.  I told the waitress to take out the jalapeños because I wasn't feelin' them at the time.

They didn't bring out my order because they didn't get my order even though I did tell the waitress.  No big deal.  It just meant I had to wait longer to eat something.  I tried some of my coworker's Skillet Fries ($7.99) and they were pretty good.  My nachos came and it was huge!  I couldn't finish it all but it was worth the $8.99 assuming I finished it.

Overall, this place was beer-lovers' heaven and a great place to watch any sports games on their multiple TVs.

I LOVE tapwerks! They have so many beers on tap, you don't even know where to begin. The atmosphere is like any downtown bar you'd expect, high ceilings, large bar, pool tables and video games up stairs. Its a fun spot to hang out in. We have made tapwerks a frequent "before dinner drink spot" I can't comment on their food because all I've ever eaten there is their chips and queso (mmmm... so good with a nice cold one of your choice). They have Chimay on tap, which is pretty impressive, I've never seen it on tap before and its one of my favorite beers. They also have a sampler you can try. They have beers from all around the world, you would need to go back several times to try it all.

I'm a little tuff on my reviews so, Congrats tapwerks, you got 5 stars from me.

This place has too many taps, not because it's difficult to choose, but because they don't sell enough beer to keep them all fresh.  Brew that sits for a while in the lines is flat brew.

Choose wisely.  Asks for whats popular and go with that.  I had the Oklahoma sampler, which was comprised of 4 tasters from different breweries.  Sadly two were completely flat.  The other two were fine but the experience was disappointing nonetheless.

The beer menu also isn't very helpful.  It's broken down into three categories by country (light, amber, and dark or something like that) with little detail beyond ABV. How about style, location, or flavors?

The service was fine and the food was about what you'd expect. Too bad about the flat beer.

If The Flying Saucer had a twin and that twin was separated at birth, then Tapwerks would be its long lost sibling.
The menus are almost identical and they even have Tuesday night trivia, just like the Saucer.

After you stuff yourself stupid at one Bricktown's restaurants and you've worked up a powerful thirst from walking dinner off you should come here. Tapwerks has an awesome selection of beer. They have so many beers on tap it's almost overwhelming. Our waitress was great and even suggested some different types of beer. She was very attentive all night long.

If you're ever in OKC I definitely recommend spending some time at The Flying Saucer, errr, I mean Tapwerks.

Tapwerks is located in historic Bricktown in downtown Oklahoma City.

So after the hour and half trip from Tulsa to OKC, me and 4 friends decided to grab some food and drinks before the Thunder game.  I had heard good things about Tap Werks before and decided to give it a try.

We found a table right away and ordered some beers.  Tapwerks sits in an old brick building. Finished out with wood floors, booths, tables, chairs and pretty much anything else you see or touch, you do get the feeling that you are in an old wooden ship and the only thing to do is drink tons of beer with your pirate friends.

One of the first things you notice when you walk in is the massive draught selection that carry's the length of the 50 or so foot bar.  So if you like your beer, this place can feel that desire.  The upstairs had a few bar games such as pool and darts.  There was also another bar upstairs.

I ordered the Filet Tip Sandwich, my girlfriend ordered the Chicken Tenders after we saw them on another table and they looked so delicious.

The Filet Tip Sandwich came out and really didn't look like much.  Just a hoagie style roll carved out with chopped up steak stuffed inside a some cheese on top.  However when I bit into the sandwich I was pleasantly surprised.  There was a good amount of sauce in the bottom of the sandwich that had been sautee'd with the steak.  This sandwich had tons of flavor and was very very good.

The Chicken Tenders were just as good as they looked on the neighbors table.  The lightly breaded and fried chicken was extremely tender and extremely tasty.

We both had fries and I thought they were gross.  They seemed like they were at room temperature and soggy.

The service was also pretty lame.  We were sitting down for about 10 mins before anyone came around.  Our waitress seemed arrogant and I got the vibe that I get from people who work in a place because its cool and don't really care about there job.  So thanks to the lousy waitress that has better things to do than her job.

If you are in Bricktown this would be a great place to have some drinks.

    Hells yes.

Beer snobbery at its finest.  Ignore the people asking for Bud Light and go to town.  I had some great IPAs and stouts and it made my night to talk beer and have a series of fun conversations with local folk.

Think Hamilton's in San Diego or Toronado in San Francisco, for you Californians.  This is OKC's small town answer.  And it's fantastic.  Servers are knowledgeable and friendly, to boot.

5 Stars for the beer selection alone.

I mean, where else are you going to go when you really want to partake of selective domestics and oh-so-good imports?

    Yup. Enough said.

In San Francisco, Brooklyn, Portland or Boston, Tapwerks would have closed years ago.

But this ain't any of those towns and, frankly, OKC isn't exactly nirvana for beer snobs. In this light, Tapwerks is heaven. A recent change of ownership has been good to the place, with improved food and service, not to mention better attention to maintaining the beers.

The Monte Christo sandwich is a good choice and, on recent visits, table service has been fast and pleasant.

Sadly, the hand pumps sit idle, awaiting a change in OK alcohol laws that'll foster a brewing revolution. For now, Oklahoma's few breweries are neither large enough or good enough to make producing firkins of cask ale viable. I suppose idle is better than hooked to dead keg ale.

So...give Tapwerks your support. It's the best OKC has to offer the beer lover and we sure need it!
