A friend and I came here on a Saturday night. Surprisingly, we got seated immediately. I guess we were expecting a bit of a wait since it was the weekend. The restaurant was packed and loud. This is a classy joint but it was casual enough that I didn't feel out of place in jeans and tennis shoes.
I got a Republic burger which was a bit expensive at $8. Fries were another $4. I got what I paid for because everything tasted fantastic! The fries were my favorite. The alcohol menu was quite impressive. There were lots of options - too much in fact because I was so indecisive. Our waiter was awesome. He was quick and always checked on us at the right time, never interrupting our conversation.
Republic is a great place to catch a game because the place was surrounded by TVs of all sizes. Each booth had their own TV and then there were a couple of huge flat screens hanging from the ceiling.
Not a fan. I like a place I can go and relax and enjoy myself. This is not that place. It is always packed way beyond capacity, the people that frequent here are generally the entitled and rude variety and it is all pretty expensive. The patio area is pretty cool if you can actually find somewhere to squeeze in. Good luck with that.
Review Source:Republic is certainly a well designed and appealing restaurant. Unfortunately, they were out of my first two beer choices and first three wine choices for the other members of my party. The situation was remedied by an apology from the manager and a complementary first round of drinks and we didn't even complain to the server. This was a pleasant surprise and demonstrates the level of service provided by Republic.
The Classen burger, which is really a Theta, was flavorsome and the pretzel bun only added to the experience. I am impressed by the quality of the food and service of Republic.
