So I found my vegetarian go-to dish: the shrimp diablo pasta (angel hair pasta with spicy marinara) 86 the meats and replace with veggies. Â Dish is pleasant-spicy, not overwhelming-spicy and it is YUMMY! Â Now it's me suggesting Pearls to the hubby, instead of the other way around, and happily, he always obliges.
Review Source:We went here on a Friday night around 8. The waitstaff was very nice and helpful. The shrimp was delicious and the pomegranate margarita was even better! It wasn't too crowded the atmosphere was nice almost romantic. Our waitress let us know that on Saturday and Sunday they serve brunch from 10-2
Review Source:1st time at this Pearls. I've been to the other location that closed down and also their sister restaurants and my family and I like them pretty well.
Started our lunch off with being notified that they were out of oysters. Yes, the Pearl's Oyster Bar...out of oysters. Unfortunately, the only reason we came here was because my mom really wanted oysters, so she was very disappointed. However, the waitress was very friendly and apologetic about it.
Ordered calamari for an app, not impressed at the slightest. Â The squid was very thin and so it seemed pretty overbattered. My family likes marinara sauce with calamari but the sauce they served with it was something inbetween marinara and cocktail sauce and very watered down.
We weren't given silverware or napkins until our apps came out and even though we asked our server after we ordered. We ended up having to ask another waiter who seemed rather a bit surprised (as were we) that we didn't have silverware settings yet.
Our waitress also has yet to bring our starter salads out and it's been about 15-20 minutes since we've been finished with our apps. We asked her about it and first she said forgot. Then when she brought the salads to us she said that when she first went in the back they were out of salad. Yes, out of oysters first, then out of salads??
(Finishing the review after coming home for the day) We ended up getting our salads shortly after we informed our waitress that they didn't come out. My mom had ordered French dressing and they gave her a creamy italian (which isn't a big deal at all because we can just simply switch the dressings) However, the waitress repeated that the dressing really was French. It definitely was Italian!
My entire party ordered some kind of fish, they were all cooked very well and were tasty. I recommend the miso sauce.
Anyways, it was not the worst experience I've had, but a few things could have been better. Yet again, it was Father's Day and I could see where they could have been overwhelmed earlier in the day and make some excuse for them to slack a bit. (We came at 3 to avoid the crowd.)
