given the location I expected a much more rough vibe but this place is surprisingly chill. Â Far from the nicest looking place inside and out but its nice to see all different races able to enjoy a bar together without problems. Â That said, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone not used to the low end bar scene. Â Drinks are pretty cheap too and the karaoke is always fun to watch.
Review Source:My friends' metal band would play here from time to time, after driving up an hour and a half or so to get there. You used to have to bring your own PA system if another band playing the same night couldn't.
But the place is definitely not set up for bands. They'd have them set up in another room of the bar, amid pool tables and other gaming implements. There wasn't much room for the audience, especially since you'd have people wanting to play Darts while a band would be playing, and that pretty much took up the whole pit.
It was also typical for some bands to just keep playing, despite going over into other bands' time slots since no one really bothered to tell them to stop.
As for the actual bar aspect, in spite of state laws, people still smoke inside and there's nothing I could possibly say to defend the drinks. Other than the fact that Jager shots were 99 cents on select band nights, there's nothing here to excite an out-of-towner.
It's a dive. That's all there is to it.
