Should be a 2.5 star rating for average. Â Food was ok, nothing worth going back for. Â Small menu but that's fine. Â Pro: Sirloin steak was good sized, juicy, cooked properly and had no fat or inedible parts. Ribs were very tender also with no fat. Â Fries were crispy steak fries (more or less) and served in a metal cup to keep them hot (nice touch). Cons: The flavor of the steak and ribs was lacking. Â No seasoning on the steak from what I could tell and the sauce on the ribs was fairly bland. Half rack was a bit small. Â
Overall, it was ok for the price and the place was clean with an assortment of sports on tv's.
I stopped in here for lunch while I was in the area on business. Â I sat at the bar. Â Looking around, it seems like they do a pretty good bit of business during lunch. Â There were some open tables but not too many. Â I wasn't the only person at the bar, either (though I was the only one not drinking, interestingly enough).
Being back in the Carolinas for the first time in a while, I ordered a pulled pork BBQ sandwich. Â It was good, slightly above average, but not amazing. Â There was plenty, and the coleslaw served with it was quite good (and went right on top of the sandwich, of course). Â The fries were only ok - a bit overdone.
I will probably seek out other places to try when in the area again.
This is one of those places that you have to order your sides separately. I'm usually not a big fan of that, since I never realize it until my food comes out. I guess that's the waiter/waitresses fault for not bringing it to my attention.
Anyway, service was nice though, overall. It wasn't too packed when I went, which caught me off guard since it was Friday evening.
The menu is interesting. I like the fact that they are a regular american restaurant but put a twist on every meal. Good call.
Overall I wasn't too impressed, but I'm sure I'll be back here at some point.
