Food was good. Great location and the service was awesome!

I don't know what's up with the negative reviews..  This place is rather hidden-gemish if you ask me.

There's a long menu of interesting gastropub-style deliciousness to be discovered at Tavern.  For an idea of what you might see on the menu, here's what my friends and I sampled:

    -  Fried pork belly chicharron with lime & cholula mayo - $6
    -  Veal & foie gras burger - Parmesan, truffle mayo, fries - $19

The service is quick and friendly, and the pricing is reasonable for what you get.  There's a full bar, and it's located right off the main Park City strip.  I'm a fan!

Went last night. I think was maybe the 8th time. Since our first visit it has been progressively worse. I agree with most other reviews. The waitstaff have been polite most times but very inefficient, the food last night was terrible, bison pie very salty, beet salad advertised with basil showed up with arugula and when confronting the waiter I don't think he knew what either was. As we left I noticed table one was closed and assumed the chef is on a vacation and the kitchen staff is drunk driving. I really want this place to make it but I don't think it will. Call bar rescue ASAP. I won't be back for a long time. Park City has way better options.

Great hidden bar and restaurant, underneath Table One.

Standard cocktails at the bar, but upscale American food was a nice surprise. Beet Salad with pesto and goat cheese, parsnip soup with duck confit at the bottom was a favorite, and pan fried utah trout came with a great seafood risotto.

Perfect choice for a nice dinner in downtown Park City, not too crowded and great service.

Stumbled into the Tavern for apres and was pleased to find open seats at the bar (there was a line to get into the Distillery!) The bartender was friendly and the prices were reasonable. My friend and I ordered wine, and the pours were decent. The fries came in an enormous basket - thank goodness we were planning to share. Ambiance was great, and the crowd was cool. I didn't order anything other than the fries, but the food looked good. I hope to make it back someday!

STEEPED WITH PARK CITY HISTORY-- FEEL THE VIBES !!

As a "mature" gal, going into a bar by myself is always an adventure. I never know how I will be treated.  The bartender bypassed me and  waited on the couple that sat down half a minute after me. But did call me " Miss".   :-)
He was flustered and unprepared. They seemed under staffed .

My wine was served in an exquisite glass that made it taste even better.  The french onion soup was  incredible. I have never seen it served in a pedestal bowl before, and it was difficult to cut the cheese/bread without tipping the whole thing over. Awkward.

This building is very old, obvious by a trip  to the restroom. I can remember over 30 years ago when it was called  UTAH COAL AND LUMBER.

I probably  won't go back as there wasn't anything else on the menu I would like to try.

    Very trendy though.

I, too, felt motivated to write a review after my recent experience(s) here.  I spend a lot of time in PC and have a fond memory of the old Easy Street/Bar Boheme.  Sadly, the Tavern is lacking.  Be aware that the reviews posted are very indicative of the experience.  Management is AWOL, servers are set up to fail, wine service is horrific (provided they have a bottle in stock), and food is mediocre at best.  Skip and enjoy the multitude of other great options on Main Street.

This restaurant motivated me to become a yelp reviewer.  This used to be a great pub, before ownership changed recently.  The new owner has ruined the cozy ambiance with bright tv screens.  During our dinner, the screen facing me displayed irrelevant factoids about mo-town signers, along with lots of garish ads.  It's not like there was karaoke going on, or anything, so I really don't understand what that was about.  And sadly the ambiance was a lot better than the food or service.  I ordered the trout.  I guess I should have been worried when the best thing the waiter was able to say about it was that there had only been one complaint.  The tiny piece of fish was OK, but the soupy, fishy, seafood "risotto" was disgusting.  Rubbery strands of squid mixed with dessicated chunks of chorizo in a gruel-like consistency of overdone white rice.  Another diner had the lobster roll.  Rubbery, fishy, greasy, and lacking in any seasoning besides copious amounts of salt.  We also shared the arugula salad with goat cheese and walnuts in a raspberry vinaigrette.   The dressing tasted like cough syrup, and the goat cheese was completely missing.  I asked about that, and eventually a shot glass of goat cheese was brought to the table.  Look, Park City tends to have over-priced underwhelming restaurants, but this place goes way beyond the usual disappointment.  I can't believe we paid $80 for the slop that we were served.  Be afraid.  Be very afraid.

Went for dinner. Fabulous atmosphere and design/ambiance.  Good selection of beers. Shepards pie entree was good as was the veal and foie gras burger. The blue burger was okay.

This place use to be called Bar Boheim and as a local this was my good to spot. They handy the best French Onion Soup in town, the rest of the menu was always good and the atmosphere was and still is very warm and seems like the kind of place you want to be on a cold stormy night. My wife and I went there on Sunday night and learned they changed the name to The Tavern. It was crowded but we found a spot and after awhile we ordered drinks. It took awhile to get them but when they were delivered we ordered food. After waiting for nearly 50 minutes we paid for the drinks and headed home without being served a single bite to eat.

My biggest complaint is not with the slow service - I know it is the busiest time of the year and I'm sure the kitchen, bar and wait staff were just overwhelmed. Our waitress was very nice and apologized over and over. She did her best so no grip there. My problem is the menu. No French onion soup, bone marrow is not a staple on my diet thought I'd enjoy trying it. I guess what bothers me most is the only burger on the menu was a $24.00 speciality burger. Come on now, I can understand a excellent restaurant hand ground burger going for $14.00 to $17.00 if its something special but at some point you just have to say no. And at $24.00 for a burger I'm saying no. Good luck with the bone marrow ... I can't imagine this place makes it with its current menu.
