As I'm writing this review (Saturday, October 27, 2012), this place has only been open for 5 DAYS!!
It is located on Coliseum Blvd, where the old Circuit City Store used to be, next door to Dick's Sporting Goods.
It has the usual Chinese, Japanese, American cuisine with some items not found at any other Asian buffets locally. Â
Their sushi selection was very good. Â I found tobiko (flying fish egg topped rice wrapped in seaweed), red-snapper (kurodai), shrimp, California rolls (avocado, imitation crab, and cucumber), New York rolls, Philadelphia rolls (Philadelphia cream cheese, salmon, cucumber, and onion), and various other rolls. Â I missed unagi (eel) and maguro (tuna).
I found some unusual items: small clams in a clear, slightly sweet sauce, "Hong Kong Chicken" (breaded fried chicken pieces in a sauce that reminded me of sweet & sour but had a slight spicy kick), "BBQ Chicken" (de-boned, baked, very moist and tasty, which reminded me of pressed chicken), Â "Treasure Shrimp" (whole stuffed shrimp), edamame (boiled whole soybean pods), "Coconut shrimp" (couldn't see/taste any coconut, but this would be called "walnut shrimp" or "honey shrimp" elsewhere).
They are open 7 days a week. Â Lunch hours are: M-F 11AM-3:30PM, Sat 11AM-3:30PM, Adults: $6.89, Kids less than 2yo:Free, 3-9yo $3.50, 7-10yo: $4.50.
Dinner hours are M-Th 3:30PM-10:00PM, Fri & Sat 3:30PM-10:30PM, Sun 11AM-9:30PM, Adults: $9.89, Kids less than 2: Free, 3-9yo: $4.75, 7-10yo: $5.75.
This place seems to have its act pretty well together for its first week of business. Â I'll be back soon and will report more!
