Went there for the wife's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Â Was nice and intimate, the service was great, Â We had the 'Blackened Grouper' which wasn't really blackened, but was excellent, nonetheless. Â They allowed my twins to split an adult steak and my sister had some kind of salad, which she loved.
Much recommended...
My companion and I went to Red River because we heard about their "awesome breakfast buffet". While not "awesome" it does its share of good qualities. For starters, there's an omelet station where they're made to order. Although I passed on the omelet, the line was quite long, so they were at the very least popular.
The buffet has a terrific selection of fresh fruit: ripened strawberries, juicy pineapple, and melon. There were waffles, scrambled eggs, smoked sausage, pork sausage patties, and bacon. The bar also had browned potatoes, biscuits & gravy, yogurt, cold cereal, and oatmeal with a variety of toppings.
Everything I tried was fresh with the exception of the waffles. They were cold and appeared to have been there a long time. Due to the amount of traffic (it was Father's Day), most items were replaced just as soon they ran out.
Overall, Red River's breakfast buffet has a lot of variety and is a good deal for the price - $10.95. The wait staff is quite busy, so don't expect a lot of attention. I'd go again if given the opportunity, but it would not be my first choice.
