When my bowl of pho came, the noodles in the soup were stuck together as if they had been sitting outside in the air for a while and hot soup got ladled over it. I've definitely had better pho in the Boston area. I was just passing through the area so maybe I'd appreciate this place more if I lived here and there weren't many other places to get pho? Otherwise, the service was friendly but the food was so-so.
Review Source:This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but as that great advice goes don't judge a book by its cover. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The pho is amazing! You could tell that there was love and care taken to create the chicken broth. It was simply the best broth that I have ever tasted (Sorry Mom). Â We ordered the fresh spring rolls and the friend egg rolls and both were very good. Â I preferred the spring rolls. We will definitely be returning to Thanh Thanh 3.
Review Source:First time there today... was blown away. The prices are very good, the place is clean, the pho was AMAZING, and the service was cheerful and attentive. Â I used to frequent the Vietnamese Noodle House on main, but constant crappy service has ran me to this place and I have no regrets so far. Will certainly be going back.
Review Source:My sister and I stopped her with a http://restaurant.com coupon on a Thursday night. They accepted the coupon fine (some people just don't!). The server was quite and polite, nothing to complain about there.
We ordered the spring roll appetizer which came with the usual peanut sauce. Unfortunately it was a peanut butter sauce, as was made clear by the Jif containers I noticed on a shelf in the kitchen. Kind of disappointing but still was good to me. My sister ordered what was called a casserole on the menu, but it wasn't what she was thinking it was and was OK with what she got, but the portion size was far too scant for the price.
I got the PHO and it was excellent! So good and filling! I also got the Mi Xao Do Bien to bring home and tried a bit while we were at the restaurant and was really disappointed. The seafood in the dish was horrible, the squid overcooked, mystery squishy fish pieces. I never ended up eating the dish.
Overall, I would go back for the Pho, but probably would stick to that!
This is a bit off the beaten path but I Heart the soup!
I was a bit leery when I pulled up into the parking lot and it was quiet and empty. Â I got there in the middle of the afternoon so it sort of made sense.
I was really glad to have found it. The hot soup had a kick to it and the beef plate was flavor full.
Def worth going back.
we were up in the live free or die state this weekend doing some tax free shopping and wanted some PHO... apparently only two places in Nashua fill the bill, one place on Main Street, Vietnamense Noodle House and this place kind of off route three. First thing, you can't get there easily coming from south to north, Route 111 is one way in that part of nashua and you have to circle back and then get on 111 westbound. the go to simon street. About a half a block off route 111. sits this place.
On to the food... not bad, not wonderful, but acceptable on a cold day. We ordered a variety of dishes, The fresh spring rolls were OK, but figured we would get three in an order, not two. The Pho was OK too, we had chicken, seafood and beef pho.. the good thing is that you can get a small to an extra large bowl.. This place also serves beer although we didn't have any, but it is nice to know..
All in all, not bad, not as good as the places in Boston on DOT ave., but not bad
Worth a 50 min ride to go here. Not my favorite Vietnamese restaurant but its up there! Â Took my 12 and 24 year olds with me. Â They were too busy enjoying their meals to talk much which made it a quite time for a change. Â That says a lot for these two. The peanut sauce for my fresh spring roles was a too thin. Let's see what happens then next time. Looking forward to going back.
Review Source:Four of us just had an outstanding meal. Super clean restaurant, the owner was very friendly and helpful to guide our selections. Service was fast as well. For food, we had Pho soup, Pad Thai, Bun (vermicelli noodles), and Vege salad. Wow! I drive by everyday on the way home from work and will definitely be making this a regular for takeout.
Review Source:I first tried Thanh Thanh 3 with the kids in between soccer games at Mines Falls Park. We had never tried Vietnamese food before, so we were not sure what to expect.
The menu items are similar to Chinese, but there are subtle differences. We tried the spring roll and the egg roll appetizers. The spring rolls came with a fabulous peanut sauce. Both were excellent.
One striking difference from a Chinese restaurant is that we ordered meals thinking they would be shared. Not so! We asked for a couple of extra plates and shared, but it seemed more oriented towards a plate per person.
The food is outstanding, flavorful, and very fresh. We tried several of the noodle dishes and enjoyed them all. We have been back several times and have not been disappointed yet. The Thai Ice Tea is very good, and they have a wide variety of soups that are a meal in themselves. Prices and portions are comparable to a high end Chinese restaurant.
We've been back to Thanh Thanh 3 several times since our first visit, and the food has been excellent each time. Â I'm not as excited about the service since my last visit.
We went with a couple of friends, and because the restaurant was fairly busy, our waitress was serving 3 or 4 tables. My 12 year old son ordered a pork dish, and he was brought out a plate that was seafood based. He complained to us because he doesn't like seafood, but the waitress had gone back to the kitchen. She came back out a few minutes later, took the his plate, gave him the pork dish, and brought the seafood dish to another customer. I'm not sure how she knew my kid hadn't started to eat it, but I'll be watching for this if I go back. I can see mistakes happening when a place is busy, but I don't think it is cool to re-serve the mistake at another table.
yum yum yum!
Messy L was right on!
So happy to have tried their food! :)
So the hub and I tried to go here this past sunday, but closed unusually for some event. So we tried again later in the week, and YAY!
So definitely awesome pho and spring rolls and bubble drinks! (I got the avocado and hub got the coconut...both were amazing). We actually got the spicy pho ga and it had pepper flakes added to it and Im sure other things added for spice.
Hub did add a ton of rooster sauce and hoisen before tasting the broth lol; he had his nose running!
Definitely will be going back for more! :)
Must say that check service was slow ... there was one gal working the tables and front desk, and then maybe 2 in the kitchen? ... I'm sure they would have more people on the busy weekends...
When the gal came back out with a take out order for a couple who was waiting, another 3 parties already were in line waiting to be seated ... funny to observe, but all patient and worth waiting a little.
Oh, and other thing! This place is out of the way ... nearby the nashua ups which was always a tough thing to locate! definitely worth trying if you are in the area; i bet local businesses come here for lunch! Hub and I think they should be located downtown .... but I know there is a vietnamese place downtown already aRGH
Well, we have another gift certificate to use here; we used one last time! :)
This place has totally changed my mind about Vietnamese cuisine! Everything I've tried has been amazingly flavorful. Pad Thai, Shrimp with Chinese Broccoli, fried squid appetizer, and the Pho. The Pho is out of this world... I can't get enough of either PH9 (chicken) or PH10(veggies). I also love the spring rolls appetizer (fresh lettuce, white meat chicken and shrimp with peanut sauce). The avocado shake is a must after every meal. Dining-in is always a pleasurable experience... except for the music. The restaurant is clean and the bar is in another room. The owner and his wife are super friendly. Oh, and they deliver!
Review Source:This place is way better than Vietnamese Noodle House on Main Street. The pho is very good compared to many pho places on the east coast. My boyfriend loves their egg rolls. Every thing else I wasn't a fan of. I prefer authentic Vietnamese food, but the only thing that tasted authentic was the pho. For instance, the spring rolls should have had a variety of vegetables (mint, lettuce, bean sprouts...), pork, and shrimp with the rice noodles. Instead, they had chicken and lettuce with the noodles. Odd? Yes. I like authentic Asian food, not Asian food that caters to people who are too afraid to stray too far from their Micky D's.
However, if you want pho and don't know how to make it yourself at home, I recommend this place. Service can be spotty at times, but the owners are very nice.
Finally went here after nearly a month of trying to get some time and it was well worth the wait. Very easy to get to and plenty of parking to choose from. The inside was small but clean and the one woman staff was on fire, serving 5 tables at once with ease. This was during lunch time, by the way. I had the Pho which was fantastic. The broth was smooth and slightly sweet and it came with classic condiments of thai basil, bean sprouts, sliced jalapeno, and lime. The food came out quickly and the prices can't be beat. I only wish they would update their website.
Review Source:The most important thing in this review is the food and to be honest, it was pretty good. Now, I'm not extremely well versed on Vietnamese food, but I got the tofu pad thai and it was pretty good. However, it was the waiting and lack of customer service that made me cut this from a 4 to a 2. Yeah, it was that bad.
I called in an order at about 7:30, and was told it would be ready in 20, I got there at right before 8 and it still wasn't ready, which is fine. However, we then proceeded to wait for another half hour (during this time no one acknowledged what was going on, other than when we asked. And believe me, it wasn't busy. There were only about 3 tables full of dine ins and most if not all had already been served food) before we were given our order. Several times we were told it would be "right out" yet 15/20 minutes passed and that wasn't the case, and we never received any apology for the extremely long wait.
So bottom line, it's pretty good food, maybe the service was a fluke but-be prepared to wait.
I've been meaning to visit Thanh Thanh 3 in Nashua for some time now but it was usually after running in Mine Falls Park nearby and I wasn't quite presentable. Â But, alas, after our pre-Halloween snow storm, snowshoeing wasn't an option because of all the downed trees in the park and I was without power, so I finally dined there and what a treat it was.
I had the shrimp spring rolls which were delightful -- very light and healthy tasting -- with a peanut sauce on the side. Â Then I had help from the server (who was extremely pleasant and welcoming) ordering pho, a noodle soup filled with just about everything. Â I ordered a small and it could still have fed at least 2 of us. Â The broth was especially flavorful. Â
The price was quite reasonable - about 11.00 for the spring rolls and soup. Â I'll definitely be back.
Good decent pho, but I have had a lot better. The broth is sort of sweet tasting. Their BOBA is pretty good, I had coconut and it was actually made with real coconut. The service was kind of lousy; waited about a half an hour for our check; we had already cleaned up the table nicely and everything once we were done. It seemed that every time a new customer walked in, they would tend to them immediately and that would be the last of the server/hostess.
Review Source:Great Vietnamese, and best in Nashua by a long shot. YOU have to try the PHO, the broth is the most flavorful I've ever had, and I've had it around the country. Â I have gone with both large and small groups, gotten take out and eaten in. Â Everything has been consistent time and time again. Â The Pad Thai is also delicious, you can have them customize the spiciness, so fantastic. Also, try the Avocado Shake, you won't be disappointed, it's a sweet taste of yumminess in a glass. If I had only one suggestion it would be the attentiveness of the waitstaff, but I understand that they are fairly new at this. Â Finally legit Viet food in Nashua.
Review Source:i ate here last night with 4 other ladies - we all liked our food very much. Â it's in a tough spot, tucked out of the way, not a lot of passing traffic, so i wish him lots of luck! Â the decor i'm guessing is left over from the previous pizza place? Â (it used to be Sunrise? Sunset? Pizza) but very clean, and good music. Â the owner served us and was very friendly and helpful - recommended a drink to me. Â The service was slow - we suspect that the one guy was doing everything, dashing from table to bar to kitchen. Â My daughter had the pad thai and liked it a lot, and liked the price. Â i tasted hers & thought it was delish! Â i had something that i forgot the name of , LCMD? something like that, and it was very good. Â the other three also all liked their food. Â oh - and we had appetizers, egg roll thingies, and they were very good too! Â we told the owner that he needs to make a drink menu. Â plenty o' parking... a couple of vietnamese-speaking customers in there, too, always a good sign... Â Go find it & try it out!
Review Source:My wife and I have eaten there twice now, with a great discount coupon from http://restaurant.com. The food is excellent and the prices are incredibly reasonable. ($8.95 for shrimp pad thai)
Try the C2- Hot and Sour Carmelized Chicken or Pork or Beef served with white rice. Â The fried rolls with fish sauce were amazing!
Service is excellent and you can even specify how spicy you want your food from 1 to 5!!
We met the owner and he was very pleasant and asked for feedback on how he could make anything better. Â Please give this restaurant a try, we want them to do well, so we can keep eating there, it is fantastic!
This place was recommended by a friend. I had never had Vietnamese cuisine before and cannot eat hot/spicy food so I was a little anxious. To my delight they had a huge variety of menu choices, much of which was not spicy. I had "MC3" (I can't recall the actual name) which was a chicken, egg, and Chinese broccoli dish on a bed of wide noodles with a savory sauce. It was delicious! The large chunks of meat seemed well cooked and the broccoli was fresh and had a great crunch.
A large majority of the dishes were under $10, so it was very affordable. Our waitress turned out to be the cook (!) and I believe one of the owners. She was very nice and put up with our group needing separate bills, and special requests. We went on a Monday night so it was very quite and relaxed. I would recommend this place to anyone new to Vietnamese food as well as those who already enjoy it. I will be back!
Surprise surprise!
The food here was great. The inside was clean, the staff was friendly, the price was right. We got 3 dishes, house rice, xao kung pao chicken, and some beef and chinese broccoli stir fry. All were great.
Great Mai Tai too.
Awesome change of pace from the average chinese place. Much fresher veggies, and higher grade meats.
Wish I had this when I went though:

The atmosphere at Thanh Thanh 3 is surprisingly pleasant and comfortable, and the menu fairly diverse. Â (The staff was also not grumpy, which is a serious deterent at the other Vietnamese restaurant in Nashua.) Â As vegetarians, Vietnamese fare can be hit or miss, but we were pleasantly surprised to learn from the friendly and helpful staff that many of the entrees could be adapted or amended to be vegetarian friendly. Â
While we were not blown away by our entrees, which both featured noodle varieties that were somewhat overcooked, we will probably come back again to sample some other areas of the menu. Â And the specialty bubble teas, of course. Â
Bottom line: Â It's probably not worth a drive, but if you are in the neighborhood, why not give it a shot?
