The previous reviewer (Michael C.) hit the nail on the head... I strolled in for a quick one... Bartendress was a rude, sickly tw*t. There were about 8 locals who kept to themselves.
I enjoyed the one beer I stuck around for to the tune of the most mediocre conversation I've ever overheard. Ever.
Do not want.
Oh, and their logo is a rip off of Twitter's failwhale, lol. GG.
Walking into Thirsty Whale, you'll see about 8 people at the bar. You quickly learn that no matter what night you go, you'll see the same 8 people.
The Thirsty Whale is definitely a spot for locals, people that live the the general vicinity of Wymore and 436, and they are all characters.
Sitting down for no more than ten minutes, you get to hear stories of how this one had to carry that one out of the bar, or how the other still owes that guy $5, etc. etc. They are certainly all characters that go, and it's fun to intermix with the Thirsty Whale "celebrities" and get the full scoop.
