Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill

Off the beaten path of downtown Dallas, involving a ride on the highway. Huge, spacious place but on a Saturday (7/6/13) afternoon, the bar was bare. A friend and I were taking advantage of a Groupon offer but we would have been better off elsewhere. After my friend ordered a chicken sandwich, the staff informed her that the establishment had run out of chicken. That is, the only chicken they had was fried chicken because anything else was in the process of being thawed. They had also run out of fried Twinkies (likely due to Hostess going out of business?) and...drumroll...Miller on tap! To satisfy the Groupon minimum, we ordered dessert-a brownie sundae. The brownie had seen better days, as it was stale.

In non-food related detail, the ladies room did not have a garbage can so paper towels were being deposited on a countertop and it looked like it had been at least a day since the restroom had been cleared of the debris.

The saving grace of this venue was our bartender/waitress, Lauren or Laura. She was apologetic and attentive.

I ordered the fried chicken and my boyfriend ordered the pork chops and we both thought the food was AMAZING!! It's the best chicken I've ever had! The gravy and mash potatoes and the fried were also incredible. This food is to die for!! I wish I could come back but I was in Dallas for one day.
