it's a bit far for us to travel, but all in all, a cute spot with great beer for the hubs (and this mama when she's not all pregnant and stuff), delicious poutine style fries with gravy and yummy cheese, and those buffalo wedges...wowzers! i had a sausage and it was ok...i think i need to take the time to make my own up, but i was so hungry just needed to order quick. had a chicken apple jobby with some stuff on top. the service was really really great and friendly...yay tda!
Review Source:Gotta love Tony's. Has the cozy pub feel with the full beer selection down, plus an amazing array of well-made junk food (yes there are healthy options, yes you should get bad-for-you stuff when you're throwing back some good craft beers with friends over board games!) The disco fries are a most insane indulgence: I don't generally go in for gravy these days, but WOW, who knew gravy and cheddar on fries would knock my socks off like this? They knew. Even when I'm trying to be healthy, I gotta go in for those fries, it's game over. Also highly recommend the street meat dog: unlike real street meat, the dog itself is THICK and savory on a lovely high quality bun, and it also won't give you a mystery stomach malady as I'm sure those Hollywood blvd dogs might. Has solid vegan options-- daiya cheese is always a good choice in a pinch, and I haven't tried the vegan dogs, but I bet you they're solid, if the non-veggies are any indication.
Beer selection, but of course, is unparalleled... there is always something good for your mood. Love to come here to catch up with Valley pals, play a game of cards and be jolly.
Find street parking in the neighborhoods surrounding the bar. Local, semi-dive bar vibe. They do have a full menu, but there are no servers; which got annoying since we had to go back and stand in line at the bar for 1) waters, 2) cutlery, 3) and beer after having already ordered our food. Expect a lot of artisanal bratwurst/sausages. Quality of this type of food was good but inferior to Wurstkuche, which is also a brat and beer place. Servers were friendly though and the beer list was exceptional with special one-offs from Ballast Point and a Golden Road tap take over. Other selections were top notch. There is a patio and then inside there is limited seating. The seating is first come, first serve; which makes it difficult if you wanted to eat and drink.
So major qualm is that they have a full menu but not the wait staff to allow one to use it.
Side note, they have board games!
