The Other Door

Wow!  This place used to be Moonshadows, which was a cool little valley lesbian bar (mostly).  It is still very gay-friendly, but it has a very mixed crowd and hosts a variety of events that cater to a very creative community.  The sound system is excellent, the drinks are reasonable, there are two pool tables, and the decor has definitely been upgraded.  

Check out their menu of specialty infused alcohols and drinks... pretty amazing to find something so unique for the price-point.  I highly recommend this place.

Be sure to check with them for special events, as they sometimes have crawfish boils, live bands, DJs, artistic events and more.  And, despite all that is going on, it's still very cozy.

THE BEST! They have some pretty amazing and unique drinks...flavor-induced alcohol like basil-infused or bubble gum infused vodka and ginger and pepper infused tequila(my favorite). There was a reality show being filmed there when I went the last time. Always a cool crowd. There are pool tables, the bar is located in the center of the room with cool decor/style. There are some couches, TV's and another large room with a dance floor and DJ.

LOVE this place! Great drinks like garlic infused vodka (amazing) and absinthe cocktails. Really fun retro drinks and friendly staff. They have an event space in the back with bands and performances, often a strong Burner-vibe too:-)

I found the drinks to be very reasonably priced... especially the single-malt scotches. YUM! If this bar was in Hollywood it would be $3-4 more per drink. Glad it's in NoHo because there's no pretense and plenty of parking. Will definitely be frequenting this place!
