Ha Ha's Comedy Club & Cafe

Not the best club but I get "free" tickets all the time. 2 drink minimum. The comedians are usually pretty funny but the owner is shady when he texts you saying comics from this or that will be there. They may have worked on the movie but it's not anyone who you would recognize from seeing any of the movies. When approached he said "no I said comics from... You think I'm going to have people here free for famous people?" I didn't like his answer or the tricky way he worded it.

Can't beat the price so 5 stars for that.
Service 4.5 stars. Server was friendly and available when needed.
Venue 4 stars. It's small and cozy, and that's fine. We enjoyed sitting on the sofa/ booth seat.  Management seemed on top of business and was courteous. Restroom was dive-y.
Food 3 stars at best. Go to a restaurant for food and a comedy place for comedy. Don't confuse the two.
MC 4 stars. He was engaging, funny, and real. Not one of those cheesy hype-men.  
Comedians 3 to 5 stars. Some of them earned a 5.  5 star comedians are funny without digging low with swear words and sexual humor and staying there.  We saw 5 comedians perform.  All ages and races. I appreciated seeing all kinds of comedians.  They each have a different perspective to offer.  There was some great material.  It was sandwiched between drawn out filth and objectification of men and women. That was a bummer.  On par with other clubs I guess. The audience is smarter than that and deserves higher comedy, as a rule for the region.

Bought a Groupon for 4 people at $25.  Included two free Fiesta Platters.  Waitress only brought us one.  Offered us dessert instead (only had fried ice cream). Food was ok (can't complain when it's sort of free).  The comedians were funny. Show started at eleven and ended at one thirty.  We definitely got our money's worth!  Bought two more Groupons as soon as we got home!!
