Recommending for the Food not really a fan of the bar. But this place has amazing grub, selection is typical of a bar/restaurant taste way better than any bar food places that I've been to. The burgers are amazing, garlic fries to die for, breakfast is killer. I've never had a bad dish.
Regarding the bar, on a busy night i.e. Friday/Saturday... Plan on waiting for a while to get a drink which is typical I guess but the bartenders could kind of be @$$holes! Though I've been in during a weeknight shift and all the bartenders are nice and provide excellent service.

Wen last night to listen to the band "The Blast". Super great. Music was one blast from the past hit and was spot-on. Really enjoyed it. Appetizers we good and very generous amounts for the price.

May I interest you in an amazing, fresh salad and carbonated water?
No? Ok, then go to Tracy's and have an ice cold beer and one of 4 different types of potato skins. I'm a fan of Tracy's Bar. It's not pretending to be anything it isn't. It's a bar and it serves some good greasy food. They have live music on the weekends, which can get loud and crowded, but sometimes that's just what you need.
Most of the crowd at Tracy's was born and raised in the area, so don't be surprised if no one knows your name and/or cares. The staff is really nice to your face but can disappear for quite awhile almost forgetting you are there, so I suggest placing your entire order as soon as someone gives you 2 seconds of their time. Also, please don't ask questions....this is not the type of place that you ask detailed questions about the menu or fruity drinks.
After you read this review, you are probably thinking....4 stars? Well, this isn't where you go to have a gorgeous meal and chat with friends...it's a place you go to listen to loud music and have a beer, it's a 4 star dive bar in my book.

Been here dozens of times after softball games.

Really good food and I like the idea of supporting a neighborhood eatery, but Tracy's service is so hit and miss -- and more often it's "miss" than hit -- that it's difficult to recommend.

We have stopped making our regular weekly visits there because of this.

The food is good but alil expensive for a broke college kid. But then again if you've got the money to drink at a bar, you should be fine spending a few bucks on their food. The portions are more than enough. Easily two meals if you not into stuffing yourself.
$15 for a pitcher. Bands and kareoke on the weekend nights. 2 billiards tables.

The crowds are interesting. There is the older crowd which consists of friendly couples and creepy single guys. Then the middle aged few stopping by for food. Then the college and alumni drinking the night away. Smoking done outside. Friendly bar owners and works. Service sometimes slow, sometimes great.

Great Bar, try it out.

Came here for St. Patty's day and it wasn't very crowded.

The bar is pretty simple- nothing fancy. They have a good selection of beers and can make almost any mixed drink.

The crowd here is definitely older but I think anyone would fit in.

Will try to make it to happy hour here one day.

Burger was great, beer was cold.

I know I was in a bar, it felt weird having 2 kids playing a few tables over, then a teenage kid walk in. Just not used to seeing that in a bar.

I'll keep this short.

I love this place. The atmosphere is awesome. The live band is always great. Drinks aren't watered down at all. In fact, some would call them rather stiff. The bartenders are the coolest people and work so well together. The place can get busy on certain nights, but you never feel like your drinks or food take too long. Oh yeah, food is awesome. Even the bouncers are chill!

GREAT PLACE TO HANG WITH THE GUYS.

Low-key place, plenty of pool tables and service was good. Parking was difficult to find, I think since its in the same area as the 24 hours. Good happy hour deals.

First time at Tracy's and I like this place!

Sort of loud but thats ok.
Beer was cold and that was good.
Kamakazis were outstanding (yeah, had more than one....) and that was good.
Hot wings were very good and HOT! that was good.
Ranch dip was very good

I will be going back to Tracys next time I'm in the mood for a lively dive bar.

Service was not good though and thats why I gave 4 stars. Seated at a table and there was a waitress and a male (not sure exactly what his job was) but we still had to walk up to the bar for our drinks.

Service is horrible!! Really sad that it took 6 minutes to get another beer. YES I timed it!! Sitting at the bar in front of taps with 2 empty pint glasses-finally bartender asked if we wanted another beer said Yes drank paid and left. I will NEVER be back. Sad because food is really good and I believe the bartender is one of the owners!

The atmosphere is great! No creepy guys, no rude girls, and I love that I can wear jeans and a tee! The drinks are well priced and have a kick! I have only had a few items on the food menu, like the potato skins, and I loved them! Wish there was more bar stool seating, but thats hardly a complaint. All in all, I suggest this place when you are in a kickback kind of mood.

Neighborhood dive bar with a great happy hour deal!

It's dark inside but everyone is friendly and obviously, a regular. The food specials were delicious - fried corned beef taco was a winner among everything we ate!

I expect that whenever I call my brother, he'll say he's at Tracy's from now on.

Every 3 months I have a seminar in Long Beach. I go to Tracy's afterwards every time. The food, the staff, and the drinks are great.

Whenever I pick someone up and LGB I stop here first.

Bottom line - I love this bar.

One of those places that me and my boyfriend randomly picked from my bookmarks and really enjoyed! Why did I bookmark this place? Its nearby and the picture of corned beef taquitos.

When we walked in, we sat at the bar and felt ignored for a while as no one attended to us right away. Really didn't like that. We decided to order a long island iced tea... which was $10... seriously $10?!?! It wasn't even that good and filled with ice. Well I didn't like that either. Finally a waitress attended to us and we ordered irish corned beef taquitos and a reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries.

The taquitos was a pleasant surprise. Its basically corned beef (like real corned beef, not what you would expect from a can) in a corn tortilla deep fried, topped with shredded cabbage and melted cheese on top. It also was served with a side of horseradish sauce, which went well with the taquito. The reuben was very very very good, the best reuben sandwich I've had to date. Flavors went well together and it was also big. Sweet potato fries is becoming more of a staple now in a lot restaurants nowadays, but let me tell you the sweet potato fries here are the best i've had. They really put it down by having a crisp outside but soft inside, and with the parmesan cheese makes it really good.

We really loved the food that we came back the next day for dinner! We got the reuben again, and got an order of cajun wings. The cajun wings were just buffalo wings served with a side of ranch and carrots and celery, and they were small; probably won't get it again. As for alcohol we avoided the $10 cocktail and got a $5 pint of Newcastle (should have just got a schooner, which was $6).

Being that the first time we went was an early Thursday night, it was kinda empty but still a few patrons that look like a few regulars. The next night we went was a late Friday night; it was crowded, loud and there was also a live band playing covers. There was also dancing going on and a few old people were dancing really weird. I find it funny that we had bad service on a slow night and got great service on the busy Friday night. Our waitress was very helpful and kind on our 2nd visit. The overall ambiance is really divey but still clean and home-y, with a full bar, few TVs all around, pool tables, jukebox, and a dining area with a stage.

Despite the bad service we had the first visit and that $10 long island, we enjoyed our time and food here, and will visit again especially for the reuben and sweet potato fries.

Incredible meal from A to Z and cross the T for Tracy's Bar and Grill. This place served the best chicken fried steak I have EVER had. Located in a strip mall with a large parking lot shared by 24 Hr Fitness, this place is a joint you wouldn't expect to get good food. It looks like a bar... because it is a bar. They only offer the CFS a couple days of the month. It's tenderized to order and it's pan fried as opposed to deep fried. Good seasoning on in the steak and the gravy is a good compliment to the steak. The hash browns are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There is a good onion seasoning to the hash. The biscuit is made from scratch and the salted whipped butter just makes the biscuit incredible. The outside has a good crisp texture and the inside with the butter just melts in your mouth. My sister had the bacon and eggs. The bacon is thick and crispy. Hands down, the best breakfast I have had in a long time. Like I said, From A to Z, this was a solid meal.

My sister is here visiting from Denver and she told me her friend in Denver raved about a bar serving great food in Long Beach. I live here in Los Angeles and it took word of mouth from Denver to get me to notice Tracy's. This place is not getting as much attention except from the locals. I want to let all my Yelp friends know that this bar is doing something special. I think the locals like it low key and under the radar. They probably won't appreciate Yelpers sending too much business their way and making their secret spot not so secret.

I'll claim this as my local bar.
Food is surprisingly great.
Open area so it doesn't feel claustrophobic, they have Karaoke and pool and Galaga.
I like how there is restaurant and bar area depending on the mood you are in you can get drunk in either area!

I always drive on Spring street, but never noticed this bar. I came to Tracy's just to have a few drinks and leave, but ended up staying a little longer.
They have pool tables, strong drinks, and a live band. The band that was playing was awesome. Everyone there seemed to be local. It was very diverse. There were even older folks celebrating their birthdays and dancing around. Overall a good place to go if you're looking to hang out on a random night.

This place is filthy, lots of dirtbag type patrons. The food is mediocre the beer is warm and the crowd is similar to that of a prison yard. We were told this was an old Long Beach police officers bars so we thought it would be a safe decent crowd boy we're we wrong the place smells and the crowd is a mix of trashy young people and gang member types.

I recently asked a police officer about this place and were told is not a good crowd and often there are problems there.

I had a great time last night at Tracy's Bar and Grill. The place looks a little shady from the outside. An old building and random door, but oh well, there is beer inside. I have to get past looks to get some beer.

This place could be located anywhere in the United States. It seems like the type of place that exists in a town with a population of 5,000, on Main street. Nothing fancy, some pool tables, a stage for a band, full bar and tasty bar food. What I loved was the mix of people. There are the somewhat trash couples, the bougie birthday party, and a horrible 80's cover band. Okay, I didn't like the cover band, but I liked everyone else. The food was yum, really enjoyed the wings but i heard the burgers rock as well. Looking forward to trying one next time.

Yes, I'm a big fan of Tracy's. I actually *dream* of their food....
For me it's a food relationship that started 11-12 years ago when we found this place.

The Chicken breast *Cluckers* are great. My favorite is the Mother Clucker which is a grilled marinated chx breast with avocado, great bacon and swiss on a fresh perfect bun. I sometimes add ortega chili to this, but it's good just as is. You also get a side...fries, cottage cheese, cole slaw..the usual.
It's such an amazing sandwich that it's a sport to eat it. If you need to be all dainty to eat in public, don't choose this!! It's hands down one of my favorite things to eat--anywhere.
My out of town friends love to come here for nachos, egg salad sand, ample fresh salads and more. Check their web site for the weekly/daily specials and the menu.

Today we had the breakfast special--Chili Verde Ranchero plate. WOW. Could not think of a single way to improve upon it. Nothing. I recommend it so highly that I'm not going to tell anyone I know about it because I don't want to have to wait to get mine Sunday mornings in the future!!!

I have done my fair share of afternoon drinking here too! Between the holiday early outs and changes in the schedule this is where I would choose to come for lunch and an afternoon cocktail with friends.

Speaking of the cocktails...they are hit or miss. I've had drinks knock me over and others that don't even have liquor in them.....The beer is always cold and they keep them coming.
I would really like to see some weekend breakfast drink specials. $7 for a well baby greyhound....not so good. Should be $3.95 along side of a breakfast plate. But that's my only complaint...and that's an easy one for them to remedy ;-)

I personally love the waitresses and wait staff. They are on it!
The gals usually behind the bar could be a little nicer to women...but it's a bar not a popularity contest. I'm usually there for the food anyway...

I would travel for the food here and I take all my out of town friends here and they always ask to go back when they visit me again!! It's now become the place we stop straight from the airport in some cases!

This is a dive bar/restaurant that has locals coming back time after time. This place is pretty darn good for what it looks like. Food is usually pretty greasy but is tasty non the less and the beers are always cold. what more could you ask for. Is this place high quality? Hell NO! but this place satisfies your need to come here.

the staff is sometimes awesome and sometimes they seem like it is just a bad day for them and we are inconveniencing them, but who cares because that is what this place is all about. It is dark and homey feeling.

Their food specials of the night always seem to be pretty tasty. It appears that they take some pride in their food. they also have schooners for their beer and always at a good price. Tasty black and tans.

try it out.

The food here is so much more superior to even local restaurants in the area. One of the owners went to culinary school, so don't be fooled by the pub atmosphere- some of their plates, especially the steak are praise-worthy.

The nachos plate which came out of the kitchen looks like it was enough to feed six people. Seriously.

There's a little fireplace in the corner, numerous tables for noshing, a comfy bar to watch sports, seasoned barkeeps, daily midweek Happy Hour and karaoke twice a week [I hear]. Did I mention $2 burgers during Happy Hour 3-5 on Mondays? Also, check the daily specials - today's was chicken and dumplings with a side of broccoli. The waitress said that their specials run for 2 days, so they'll have C&D tomorrow night too, for instance.

There are 2 pool tables in this place, a small bathroom that is unremarkable [and I mean that, really, I'm not going to remark on it].

After that comment I should start a new sentence. Okay, so I've noticed free chips, nacho cheese sauce and salsa the last time I was there, and I'm assuming that it was during their weekday Happy Hour from 3-5.

There's ample, free parking in the back, parallel to Spring St. Tracy's has a nice, neighborhood feel to it, and i've even seen kids in the dining area sitting with their families. There's a big, working jukebox too.

My boyfriend and I took his parents and brother to the Long Beach airport around 6pm but didn't want to head back to Rancho Cucamonga with Friday night traffic so we Yelped restaurants in the area and decided on Tracy's once we dropped them off. It didn't look like much walking up to the place but once we walked in we were surprised at how big the restaurant was and all the hand painted murals on the wall. We sat down in the secondary room and the servers were super attentive. I was a little surprised at the price of the food for it being a "dive bar" but it was still reasonable.

I ordered a schooner of Hef and a corned beef sandwich (Lil bit o irish) with potato salad. It was the best corned beef I've ever had and the potato salad was fantastic! My boyfriend had a schooner of Guinness and a BBQ burger and he loved his food as well. We had a great time and I got so full I thought I was going to get sick but I just couldn't stop eating that yummy sandwich. :) Our bill total was about $30 before tip but it was worth it for how good the food was. Thanks, Tracy's! I wish you were closer.

The food here is AWESOME and the variety kicks butt! I love the potato skins and also the taco salad. The prices are also really reasonable for the amount of food you get which is a huge bonus. There is a lot going on as it's also a regular bar as well with good prices on drinks.

The staff is very attentive and helpful and make sure that they check on you at least a few times. The crowd is awesome and does offer interesting people watching. It's a local favorite and can get packed late at night.

What more could you want? Good food. Cold beer. Seasoned bartenders... and the hardest working man in show business, Christopher Patrick Brown, KJ extraordinaire. hahaha....

This is a great local bar. The people are unpretentious and the prices are really decent. They have karaoke a couple of nights a week and various other things going on the rest of the week. They also have a few pool tables, video games, and a full kitchen. They open for early for lunch and late night and you can order food pretty late too. I recommend a burger.

If you live in Long Beach or hang out with people from Long Beach, you're bound to run into someone you know.

The only complaint I have are about the bathrooms. The main ones are tiny, single use only. It makes for some long lines on busy nights. They have other bathrooms in the banquet room but they are rarely open. That's a bummer.

Other than the bathroom situation, this is one of my favorite bars.

The drinks are priced like any other dive that doesn't want to be known as a dive ($5 shots, about $6-7 for a mixed drink). What's cool is that there are always college aged coeds here and FREE music on the weekends. I have to say, last time we got what we paid for. Yeesh!
The BEST part ever though is the people watching. Maybe you guys know something I don't, but I swear to god we always see middle aged swingers here. It's really entertaining. There's always parking and the crowd is cool for the most part (minus that drunk bitch I almost murdered for trying to grope my husband).
We like coming here when we just don't want to be in the house on another Friday night :)

Great food, great drinks, friendly staff and karaoke what more can you ask for from a bar three blocks from my house?

The jalepeno and cream cheese wontons are favorite. They have typical bar food then nightly homecooked themed specials.

Great place to grab dinner and a drink with a homey local bar feel.

Typical Long Beach dive-bar. I met up with a friend here to grab some food and a drink.

Service- disappointing. I'm not a regular of this bar which is probably why it took me 10 minutes to get a drink order in when it wasn't busy. The waitress and bartender were nice, but in a "I have to be nice" way.

Drink- Weak margarita. I look younger than I am which may be the reason it was on the weak side, but when I ask for a tequila drink, I expect a decent amount of tequila. It was way too sweet! They have good beer on tap though.

Food- Lindsey had their Super Salad which looked great. I went smaller with the garden house salad-also tasty. They had good menu choices and I would definitely want to try something different the next time I went.

Crowd- Older, but that is what you typically get in a dive bar. Besides the 4 year old I saw dart across the room, we were the youngest people in there (I'm 23).

I love dive-bars. I would go here again in hopes of getting better service. If I didn't the next time, I would not go back. I think it pays to be a regular here. There are tables to sit and eat at and I think a couple games to play. If you live close, I would recommend it. If not, it's not worth the drive.

I live within walking distance to this place and have had many different things from their menu. Overall everything on the menu has filled me up and never let me down.

It's not worth a long trip from Garden Grove, like Kade said down below, but if you live within a few minutes you should make the trip.

Their chicken sandwiches are super good, as are their burgers.

However you can avoid the Nachos, they were burnt and the non burnt parts weren't that good either. However just about everything else, even their salads, are a good bet.

I hadn't been to Tracy's in many years. People used to say it was an Irish/cop bar (or an "Irish cop" bar). Basically, it's a neighborhood bar that sells food and has sports on TV. The drinks are cheap, the space is huge, there's a couple of pool tables and the crowd is casual and unpretentious. The parking lot is ample (considering places I've gone to in Santa Monica, this is a plus!) The DJ that was on par with a wedding DJ, but whatevs, it was enough to keep people on the dance floor.

This past weekend I went to Tracy's for a Long Beach Jordan reunion of sorts. Mostly, it was classes from the 70s, even people who graduated in the 1960s. I ran into some old friends from my era and made a new one. But if you think this was an evening of cardigans and wine spritzers, you'd be sorely mistaken. The older folks know how to party. And I'm still trying to figure out which one of those codgers kept hitting me on the bum!

There are a couple of things, though. 1) Its a big ass bar with a pretty even split of men and women and there's one stall in the women's bathroom. 2) People act a fool in the parking lot.

We took this trip to Garden Grove...

Ok, it was to north Long Beach and didn't smell like Lou-dog inside the van. It smelled like Dude the Labrador inside the Prius. Sometimes songs need updating.

Tracy's is my friend's neighborhood bar. Poor him. Located inside a particularly ugly strip mall, it's way too big, well lit and crammed with frat boys (both still in college and 20 years post grad) to be considered a dive.

The bartender-esses are of the rode-hard-put-away-wet variety in shirts that they should have retired about 25 years ago before the inevitable creep of gravity sunk in. Normally I would be pleased and amused to be served by 55 year old ladies with attitude, but in this case it wasn't good-natured attitude it was straight rudeness.

According to my friend they don't like serving women because "we're bad tippers." Yes, well when you ignore me for HALF AN HOUR while I'm waving cash under your nose in order to serve the men around me that's probably going to reflect in your tip. I eventually gave up and let my male friend to all the ordering.

The drinks were on the Belmont Shore side of spendy for being in a not so stellar area of the LBC.

Way too many good, real dive bars in LB to go to than waste your time on this one.

Me and my co-workers were in search of a dirt cheap bar. First I was was a little skeptical not knowing what the prices were going to be like; so i decided to call. When speaking the person on the other end I was taken back by how darn rude she was. When she said $3.75 I was sold. This place was a diamond in the rough. They had a juke box that was limited to any white long hair bands.
Back to the beer. They served 20 ounce beers for really cheap. They had sweet potato fries that were delicious. My friend ordered come sort of chili fries that were delicious (except for all the onions). By 8 o'clock the place was jumpin. There were even kids in this place and the music started to sound good.

3.5 stars. I'm split between 3 and 4 stars. But let me esplain.

Yes, the schooners of cold beer are very tasty and very cold. Yes, the crowd here is very unpretentious and cool.

Waitresses, make sure you always have a drink in front of you.

There are two pool tables, but expect that on busy night, there will be folks playing.

Which leads to the best part, IMO about Tracy's: Thursday night Karoake. I have mixed feelings about the Karoake DJ, and hence my rating of 3 stars. I'll spend 2 hours there and get to sing one, maybe two songs (even though I put like 5 requests in....). I think he prefers to let the ladies go at it (ladies singing = ladies happy = ladies don't go home = single guys don't go home = Tracy's gets more money = everyone happy).

If you're a guy, don't expect to come here and sing much on Karoake night. However, I can almost guarantee if you come here on a Thursday night, you'll have a good time.

A neighborhood bar/grill close to my friend Mike's place. I really enjoyed the time we had here.

To prepare myself for Eli's Hawkin's Burger (nothing can actually prepare you for a Hawkin's) UYE, I decided to get "Denise's Best Damn Burger". Now why would Denise and not Tracy have the name of the house special burger, I have no clue.

Anyways, this thing was a "small" monster (compared to a Hawkin's), but it was a worthy burger . Patty, egg, ham, bacon, cheese, and veggies. Mmmm, I can feel my veins clogging now. The burger was quite juicy, and the toppings complimented each other quite well. I can normally inhale a burger, but for this bad boy, I had to put in some work. It took me a good 15 minutes and change to finish this guy. Oh, it also comes with fries (upgrade to Chili Fries)! Why must you mess with me like that?!!?! Picture: http://static.px.yelp.co…

I also had a Hef with my burger. I was a happy and bloated man. Instead of "walking it out", I happily "waddled it out". *burp*

ps yah their bathrooms are small and are right in the back entrance, but its pretty clean! lol

First, you can smell the crap, piss, and that "septic" smell coming from the bathrooms because they're located near the back entrance. Don't believe me? A long line of drunk, sweaty, angry guys waiting to pee always clogs the doorway so you have to mull your way through to get to the bar. If you're lucky, the vomit is in the parking lot and not the bathroom.

Next, if you've made it to the bar, good luck getting a drink. The lame bands think they sound better by cranking the music loud so the girl behind the bar may not notice you for a few minutes.

Don't eat here.

The patrons are usually plastered and can't handle their booze. Girls scream for attention and guys give it to them, only to be disappointed so they go drink more. If you actually stay until closing, go out to your car about 30 minutes prior so you can watch all the drunks squeal out of the parking lot.

This is not a pub. There's nothing "public" about it. It's full of drunk, horny guys, a few attention starved girls, and odor. This may have been a good bar back in the day, but the nostalgia has been lost long ago.

Not the quietest place around, but hey its a bar.
