Trio Trattoria

Love the place. Great food and great service. But our criticism as husband and wife who live in  Aberdoon is that the bar has to have predictable hours. We love the service, we love the food. But we show up on occasion at 10:30 pm on a Saturday and the bar is closing. Predictable hours are what patrons want and need out of a bar. It's a fantastic place for food and environment. But it has to be predictable.

We took our visiting family here for my birthday.  There were 12 of us.  The service was fantastic.  Everyone loved their food and to my surprise, they comped my dinner and desserts for us to share.   I would think it would be hard to please an entire Italian family - but they did the job.

This is a completely renovated building off set in Valparaiso in a cute neighborhood.  The owners are the people that own and run Margarita's in Lynwood, IL.  They are SUCH hard workers and it shows.  This is a beautiful restaurant and as I understand it, the food is following suit.  The first time my husband and I were there for dinner it was a great, cozy and romantic atmosphere, but the food was average, though the wine and drinks were tasty.  Since then the owner has hired true Italinan cook/chef(s) from Rosebud.  I can't wait to go back!
