I may be biased because I am not usually the type to be found in a small town bar. The only reason I came was because my friend's coworker was performing and she didnt want to come alone. We literally sat outside for 15 minutes waiting for our guy friends to meet up with us so we wouldnt have to go in alone. Parking sure isn't hard to find.
They have 2 pool tables and a few games in the back. Drinks were cheap and the bartenders are really nice. The place was actually cleaner than I expected; it didnt have that sticky feeling when you walked around typical dirty bars.
The bathroom stalls are TOO short. I walked in and the lady in one stall stood up and I could see her. Scared the bejesus out of me! I couldnt even use the restroom because I felt like someone was going to walk in and see me go.
In all, not my spot or crowd. A little trashy....
This place is a trip. Â
By day, it is a dim , delightfully comfy dive bar. Very clean with cheap drinks and friendly service. The bartender bought us two Makers Mark shots because it was our first visit.
By night, especially on weekends, it turns into the places that your parents warned you about.
My first experience here was when I was driving around at 10 pm looking for my dog. He tends to frequent this bar when he runs away. He is a dog of the people. I was greeted by a couple of scantilly-clad barflies and one meth-head. They both were extremely friendly and told me where he went.
Yet, I couldn't ignore the feeling of shadyness.
In conclusion, this seems  like a nice place to shoot some pool and enjoy a couple of drinks on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. If you don't mind a little shady behavior, brave the night to enjoy some cheap drinks and drunken pool.
Troy's Club is an east bay sleeper, doesn't look like much when you arrive but it's one of the best "dive bars" around. The place is under a new management that is about a year old now and it gets better and better with each visit. The staff is very friendly and all the bartender's are cute (girls) and efficient. The owner, Kenny, can almost always be found hanging out and engaging in conversation with the guests. The drinks are reasonably priced and three separate tv's and two pool tables keep the action going. A private karaoke room has been constructed for groups of 20-30 and on a good night it really gets the people going. The neighborhood is a little sketchy but the friendly patrons and surveillance put your mind at rest. If you're looking to get a drink and have some fun, head to Troy's, it hasn't disappointed me yet!
