I am not entirely sure this is the spot.
But running an errand down 47th Street, I decided to drop by Los Soles, an area Mexican eatery for a taco that I had heard about on Yelp. Well, Yelp done me wrong. Los Soles is no more. Peering inside the locked corner storefront was one of those shells of a former business, with smashed windows, nearly no seats, floors ripped up, and all in disarray.
Well, I was already off the bus, I thought. So I started to stroll down 47th, until I came to a most magical sign "Pizza - One Slice $.92". Or, one slice = Â $1 after tax. Â Ahhh, my detour was not in vain.
The woman who served me, well, she brings this up from a three to a four star spot. She was friendly, sincere and curious, and prompt with my order. Two slices of pizza. And they were good, and I'd say of a better size than many of the other slice for a buck places I've been to.
This is a quick spot for working class folks in the area from the warehouses or auto body shops. There's not much in the area, but if you find your stomach growling as you have to take the #47 bus, T's Paisans is all right.
